Even in the studio, I can have people over without feeling too cramped. The noise isolation of the apartments is great and I have my own high efficiency washer and drawer in the unit. Walking distance to uptown, Little Italy, and CWRU make the price worth it. Great luxury apartments for students or young professionals.

The neighborhood is wonderful (just outside little Italy) with a lot of options for food and drinks as well has having extremely close proximity to both University Hospitals and Cleveland Clinic as well as public transportation. The building offers some nice amenities such as an outdoor fire-pit and grill area, community space, bike room, package acceptance/lockers, covered parking (for $165 a month) and the Tremont athletic club which offers a membership discount to residents. However, for me overall it was not worth the price and is why I will not be renewing my lease. My biggest issue was that there was absolutely no sound proofing done whatsoever in this unit. Noise from neighbors can be expected in any apartment building, but this was worse than any complex I have lived in. Not only could I hear the people above me walking around, but also opening and closing doors, moving furniture, turning on the disposal. I could even their conversations and tv. This was extremely disruptive to sleep, work and overall really annoying. Quality of the apartments themselves was my other big issue. There is a complete lack of overhead lighting in the bedrooms and the family room spaces in this apartment. In the final few months of the lease the door handles were beginning to become loose and some even looked like they would fall off, the carpet began to pull up in some of the corners, and the AC broke (it took two maintenance requests for them to actually figure out and solve the issue). Throughout the lease we have had a several issues with plumbing as well as with appliances, and had to have the blinds fixed after they fell off the window. When my roommates and I were told that our already pricey rent would be going up by several hundred dollars that was the final nail in the coffin and we decided that it was not worth renewing the lease for that price. If you are interested in this building, I would recommend asking to see the units both during the day and at night to determine if the noise levels are something you can manage, as well as doing a thorough overview of the apartment and asking the management team to address any issues you find before singing a lease.

I visited One University Circle in early February 2026 to co-work with my friend who lives here…read morewith her boyfriend. We both work remote jobs. I stayed in her apartment until about 12:30pm. She gave me a tour of the building so here are my thoughts. These apartments are categorized as Luxury Apartments. From a VISITORS stand point -- These are nice apartments on the east side of Cleveland. They are within close proximity to Case Western Reserve University, CWRU Law School, Cleveland Clinic main hospital, the Cleveland Museum of Art, Severance Hall (where the Cleveland Orchestra performs), Wade Oval, and of course, the University Circle neighbourhood. The apartment building is huge with many floors. My friend's 1 bedroom apartment itself is small for the average American, at around 700 square feet (my estimated guess) but I find this to be a perfect size since I like small spaces. Her 1 bedroom apartment has a big bathroom, open concept kitchen with a counter top and option to add bar chairs which she added, a living room space with an attached balcony, and a modern fridge that dispenses water. For the common areas -- the lobby is inviting with comfortable chairs, the gym is clean and has plenty standard equipment, the sauna is spacious (I think there are 2 saunas). I got to use the gym in the morning with my friend before we both started work. At the gym, I enjoyed using the stair climber machine and weights. We didn't have time to use the sauna. There is a garage for residents to use at an extra cost. VISITOR PARKING (FREE) -- I don't know what the apartment offers for visitor parking but my friend told me to park at the PNC Bank parking lot on Deering Ave., after hours. Parking was free. I visited during a weekday morning after 7am when there was no one in the parking lot, except maybe 1 car. From a RESIDENTS standpoint -- My friend enjoys living at One University Circle in the 1 bedroom apartment that she shares with her boyfriend who is a doctor at Cleveland Clinic. She told me she has had no complaints except when it took a little while for maintenance to fix something in her bathroom at some point in time. COST -- As of July 2026, a one bedroom unit starts at over $2500 and a studio unit starts at over $1800. Depending on the floor plan, the cost will vary. My friend lives on a high floor unit so her rent is more expensive than those who live on lower floors but cost is relative. For me, I would say that all units (whether top or bottom floor) are expensive and I wouldn't pay that much for rent because I would rather buy a house at that point. Depending on your income though and what you are willing to spend your money on, then you may or may not find living here expensive especially given the amenities that the building offers. Of course, we all know that owning a home makes more economic sense because that tends to be less expensive than renting but I digress. Visit their website to view rent prices. After only a few months of living there a major leak happened in our living room because the AC outlet is inside the house instead of outside. this stained our carpet and left it smelling like mildew. It took over a month for them to fix it. My sliding door closet broke down twice because it was and I quote from maintenance "cheaply made." My water pressure in the second bathroom was so low I could barely use my hot water to my sink. My toilet seat was loose and I was unable to screw it tighter. My sister's light just stopped working in her bathroom. She put in a work order and it was never fixed. The light in the kitchen also went out unexpectedly. A tile on the side of my toilet fell out and I put in a work order and never got it fixed either. Not to mention the roaches and mice that live rent free in the complex. I've seen mice casually stroll from out of the elevator into the building as if it just came home from work and wanted to go rest. The roaches were EVERYWHERE. In the kitchen, the bathroom, the rooms, the hallways, the laundry rooms. And let me not get started on the laundry rooms. The dryers and washer were disgusting and always out of commission. The trash chute was filthy and it was only one on each floor so it was always backed up and people would leave their bodily waste in there and it would take forever for housekeeping to clean up the messes. All of this just for the cost of rent to be extremely overpriced for such cheaply done and atrocious living conditions. Overall don't waste your time or money trying to live here. If you do at your own risk.

UPDATE: THEY HELD MY MEDICINE HOSTAGE…read more Monday 2/8/2021 Marissa and the office stopped answering my phone calls. I tried to contact them regarding a package that was supposed to be delivered to me but was in their possession. The package contained medicine that I needed over the weekend. They held my medicine hostage until after 5PM and did not respond to any of my messages until close to then. 1/25/21: Maintenance came back and tried to fix the fridge/freezer. It stopped working again that night. Electricity to the left side of the apartment including lights and outlets went out round 5PM. I missed an organic chemistry class because the wifi is only able to be hooked up on the left side of the apartment. 1/26/21: Maintenance came and tried to fix the fridge/freezer again as well as facetimed an "electrician" and worked on the electrical box. He said the fridge was now connected to another outlet and if it went out again I needed a new fridge. That night half the apartment's outlets, lights, etc. went out. Marissa told me that I should put my food in the fridge because I had been forced to eat out everyday so far. She said if the fridge/freezer went out again, they would be able to put a new fridge in that night so my food would not go bad. It went out an hour later and Marissa said it wouldn't be available until Thursday at the earliest. 1/27/21: Marissa told me the fridge wouldn't come until Friday. Bedroom, hallway, kitchen and left side power alternated going in and out. The washer/dryer went out. 1/28/21: Maintenance and "electrician" both came over. I told Marissa noone can come in my apartment without two masks on. She said they would wear two masks. The electrician walked up the 3 flights of stairs and came to my door without any mask on, only leaving to put one on after seeing me (I said I would not be there). They worked on the apartment and I stayed on the deck to make sure they wore masks. It got too cold (22 degrees) out and I asked to have Marissa call me when they were done. Marissa called around 10:30AM and said they had fixed everything. I got back to the apartment and more things were out than when I had left (more outlets, the washer/dryer, microwave, oven, lights, etc.) Marissa said they unplugged the A/C. Marissa said she would credit my account for this week's rent. Marissa said that they would try and move me into a new apartment the next day. She said she would stay in contact after 5PM. We sent a text to the number she had been incontact with that the heat went out but received no response. When I got to my apartment the temperature was 42. It then went down below 38 degrees the rest of the night. I had to either sleep in my car or take a chance on the apartment. When I woke up the apartment was at 48 degrees. ...
