They are only supposed to charge $50 for a visit with insurance. They ended up trying to charge me around $130 for a single office visit. Had to call and argue with them to fix it. Turned out that they had coded all of the visits incorrectly. Do NOT support this place. Go to a reputable place that does not rip people off.

My daughter had a fever (day 5) and was not at her normal baseline. She was tested for COVID and flu. Both resulted as negative. We were told it was a virus and that was it. No directions on follow up if things get worse from the appointment or what over the counter meds to take. The mid-level provider just told us we were free to go. I was very disappointed. One week later, my daughter was still ill and I had her follow up with her pediatrician. Her pediatrician did a respiratory culture and ordered a chest x-ray. We found out my daughter tested positive for mycoplasma pneumonia and the chest x-ray confirmed. She was finally prescribed antibiotics since it was a bacterial infection.

I know the staff has to deal with a huge load of folks using it as a primary care facility, but something needs to be done about the wait. Is it possible to develop a walk in clinic for those needing primary care, and save the ER for emergencies? Second, I was asked to schedule two tests by my doc after he contacted UR. I had been in a state of distress for weeks, and the earliest they could schedule one of the tests was several weeks away. The earliest for the second was six weeks in the future. That is unacceptable. UR is generating huge sums of money as a non-profit hospital. Where is it going? Probably need to buy a few more machines for radiology.

Anytime I called about these matters, they were extremely rude and acted like I was annoying them. The people at the front desk just sit on their phones, even if you are waiting to check in.
