I totally regret that I hired Inter Quality Painting to paint the exterior of my home. The railings, awnings, and doors were not properly treated as he promised during the estimate. There are globs of paint on the areas, and they were not painted properly either. It has been two days later and my security doors are still wet.
I asked them not to smoke on my property, but his father was smoking.
When I pointed out the flaws to Kristijan, he said that that was the best that he could do because my awnings and railings are old. I told him that they are the same age as when he provided the quote.
His assistant, Martin, asked me what was I expecting and I told him not for the work to look like I did the job.
During the quote, Kristijan told me that it would take three to four days to complete the work and I was not in a rush because I wanted the work done right, but it took them two days because they rushed through the work and they did a horrible job.
On the first day, they did the power washing and then they waited one day for everything to dry. I told him that everything still looked dirty after the power washing, but he insisted that they were stains that could not be removed. If I was a painter, I would have thoroughly washed everything down before painting dirty metal.
He also told me that he was providing the paint for the railings because he had to use rust oleum paint for the railings and security doors, but he used my paint for the railings and I later discovered that he stole what was left. So, he is a "THEIF and a LIAR" . . . !!!!!
He insisted that I pay him in full and he told me that he was not coming back. So, I paid a deposit and told Kristijan that I would pay the balance once the work was done to my satisfaction, but I changed my mind after he left because I went outside to put my vehicle into the garage and saw that they left their trash on my front lawn, they left my side door opened, paint is on my roof and the bricks around my window(s).
I sent him a text relaying my dissatisfaction of the work and these were his responses: "Just say it if you do not have the money to pay me, don't have to be like this. I did a good job, and now you don't even want me back for small touch ups, cause you don't wanna pay. I'm disappointed at you. After all my hard work, you're not respecting me as a contractor; no wonder all the contractors you hire have problems with you, it's not them it's you mrs. Carolyn. I will need $1,000 more; $500 you can leave for yourself, but if I do not get the $1,000 I'm afraid I'll have to put your property under lean, i hate to do it but i will have to, since you refuse to pay me and do not want me back."
I responded saying that I will see him court and he said, "sounds good".
The next day I offered him the opportunity to correct his work, but we did not come to an agreement because I refused to pay him $1500 up front.
I asked him to produce photos of his work, but he did not do so.
Can someone please serve notice to these contractors/companies that customers do not pay them to just show up, but they are expected to know how to do the work and do it correctly.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY . . . !!!!! read more
