My group was assigned to the pasta station. It was pretty straightforward and simple. The CFB employees were helpful and very nice. Everything was easygoing, and they made sure we completed everything on time. It's honestly always been a good experience every time I've come here. The work that they do is very inspiring. I am grateful to have some small part in helping with the food insecurity in NJ. I would definitely recommend volunteering here.

After a while, when it was almost my turn, a guy--he said his name was John--came up to me and told me I couldn't wait in the left line because it was only for their company trucks. He said I had to move to the right line and go all the way back to the end. I tried talking to the guy inside the building, showed them that I was first on their check-in list, tried explaining it to John, but they didn't care. They saw me waiting in the left line since I arrived, but nobody told me anything until it was almost my turn.

Edible and pollinator plants everywhere. Concerts. I mean what an amazing thing for Clifton to have I'm so happy to have found them. My kid loves loves coming here and playing with their musical structure and walking in their flower paths. I follow them now on social media to make sure and know about all the events they offer. When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised to find all kinds of home decor and some furniture. I overheard the cashier speaking to a customer as I passed through the checkout area and found her to be so personable and kind to the customer. As I made my way to the back, I stepped into a warehouse-type setting. I was impressed. If there's one thing I learned while thrifting, it's: go to less desirable areas and you'll find less then desirable items, go to more upscale areas and you'll find better items. This was definitely the case here. I found quite a bit of beautiful finds. I saw large brown bags of baby clothes priced at $3 a bag. The bags were closed up so you couldn't see what was inside. It was only distinguishable by the words "Boy" or "Girl" baby clothes written on the bag. I had no use for baby clothes so I didn't purchase them but I would put them on my list as a top find in this place. Other honorable mentions were these beautiful padded kitchen stools -3 for $40, clothes - they had plenty of them and the bread maker I scored for $10. That was actually my only purchase. I spoke to a few employees there and they were extremely friendly. When I expressed concern over whether or not the bread maker worked, one of the employees told me they check all appliances in the back once they receive them and if it doesn't work, they don't put it out. So appreciated because most thrift stores don't do that. The store has a wall with plugs right by the appliances therefore, I plugged it up. I was able to confirm the bread maker did come on and the various settings did work. I would most certainly recommend this store to anyone looking for unique finds, vintage items and hidden gems. I will certainly return in the future.

The joy on their faces was absolutely priceless and made the entire experience incredibly rewarding. Seeing their delight as they received their supplies truly warmed my heart and reinforced the importance of giving back to the community. Thank you once again for this opportunity! PS I would have loved to have a Jersey Care shirt to represent the organization.

You sign up on their website, watch a video then choose what you want to volunteer for. Once you commit, they'll send you an email the day before reminding you to show up. Nice thing is that once you sign up and volunteer, you can track your hours and events easily. I have no idea why anyone wants to volunteer, or needs to, but these guys cover Jersey, so at least you have a nice breadth of different activities you want to volunteer for. For instance I'm a computer geek, so planting trees all over the place would probably leave me with one foot in the ground! Sure the air will be cleaner, but i'll be mulch! However, I was able to find an activity that let me use my Nerdly talents instead.

My daughter started Goddard (Jan 2021) when our preschool in South Orange abruptly closed during…read morethe pandemic. The facility is exceptionally clean and they had no disruption with Covid. I believe they stayed open the entire time. We were so blown away with how well the school was sanitized daily. It felt like the right place to enroll my son as an infant. Comparing our experience with two daycares my daughter attended.. at Goddard my children are rarely sick or sent home. Like both my kids missed no more than 3 days in 3 years. Goddard really values keeping kids healthy and safe. I enrolled my son around 10 months old and it was a great transition. The teachers in the infant room were so pleasant and truly are like family. They were very accommodating with special requests about milk and nap time. Speaking of communication, I give the admin staff 5 stars with how well they run the front office. They have exceptional follow up and communication-daily reminders, photos, reports and weekly newsletters. I also appreciate the diversity of the staff and families. As a mom of color, I really love that. There have been many special events to bring the community together. My favorite events have been Halloween parade, the carnival, the "prom" for graduating class and Mother's Day/Father's Day appreciation. So much thought goes into all these celebrations and it's special. Once older, my kids were constantly entertained with art, yoga, music, water play, so many fun things. Always tired from a fun day. While the tuition may not be the cheapest -- you get what you pay for. It's well worth it for the safety, health and well being of our children. I highly recommend!

Felt like I was walking into a prep school for much older kids and couldn't envision my 6 month old enrolled here. Location is great for Montclair residents but in the same vein, they applied the Montclair-esq pricing...the curriculum for the various age groups was also underwhelming in my opinion. My sentiment upon exiting was "meh"
