The doctor's office sent the order over to Apria 17 days ago and my insurance rep and I have each called EVERY single day (half an hour conversation every day). When they're missing information, they don't reach out to anyone. They just wait until you call back in and wonder why your device has not arrived yet. I've driven the pediatrician office crazy 10 business days to resend orders that were already sent, change criteria, etc. Apria says they have all the information they need, then you call the next day and they don't. After 17 days of dealing with this, they finally tell us they never even carried the device that was ordered by the doctor's office two weeks ago, so they can't fulfill what three different groups have been working on for two weeks. Don't waste your time.

I approached using BrightStar as thinking that it was a "team" event and we were working together. The only issue has been that they can't set up medications for the week. The 1st couple weeks that she needed more care, I had to find someone to come in and organize her meds for the week. They took great care of my mom during her final days. Shannon, Angela, Michelle, Anastasia Keith (and Keith's son who popped in) treated her like a person although mom was incoherent. Carmel was amazing with her after she passed while getting her ready for transport. She spoke to her as if she was still with us, telling mom each step she was taking and keeping her dignity as she prepared her for her trip. I was impressed with the compassion each staff member had for the family as well as the patient. They asked what they could do for us as individuals. I also was touched with the fact that if the staff was at the facility checking on other patients, they took the time to stop and check on mom and the family. Many, however, transferred to Butte Home Health so the transition has been good. The RN is the most important and crucial, right? We met Pamela for her first visit and it only took minutes to be comfortable again. She is the personification of excellence, and I feel my wife has a concierge doctor/nurse when she is here and an advocate for her health. Today, Butte authorized a portable oxygen machine so that we have some additional options to go out and about. From medication organization and ordering to specific needs, we have appreciated each person, from Shannon, the social worker, to Theresa in PT, Chaplain Hugh, we feel so lucky. If this review can help others, then it is worth the time to have done it. All companies will have similar manuals, but it will always be the people and the human touch that determines their effectiveness. Butte Home Health deserves a huge thank you.

The well-trained Aide came without fail, on time, and worked thoughtfully and kindly with us. She listened carefully, learned our ways of doing things quickly and remembered them. She made modest adjustments as needed. The service was so good that we successively extended the hours-of-service as we needed the. The responsive support of the Chico Staffing Manager Nichol and her associates are available 6 days a week, with no waiting on hold, and with an answering service at other times. Problems arise and how they are handled shows the quality of a company. A previous aide was good but had difficulty arriving on time. We discussed this with Nichol, and she arranged for a prompt and smooth transition to the Aide described above. We have had care services in Chico and another city since 2018, with varying results and HP is clearly the best in Aide quality and Support services. Finding a home aide agency is easy. Finding a good one is not. This is a northern California family-owned company and not part of a national chain. Never heard Nichol say "We have to check with the Home Office". We would give this company six stars if we could.
