This place is truly awful. I was there every day for at least an hour over four weeks visiting my…read moremom. It commonly takes about 40 minutes to get anyone's attention. They will leave your loved one's bowel movements in their mobile commode all day. To get a nurse to administer meds is an act of God, but if you bring in over-the-counter medication for your loved one, the CNAs will take it out of their private storage while you're not around and never mention it. One CNA stole the heating pad I purchased for my mom to help with her pain. When I asked her where it was, she said it was a fire hazard and she had placed it in her personal vehicle. My mom got scabies while she was there. Though several CNAs saw it and provided her with hydrocortisone for it, no one identified that it was scabies, treated it, or washed her sheets. I was heartbroken watching the staff completely ignore and verbally abuse my mom's roommate, who was extremely ill and confused about why she was there. It took almost three weeks and six calls to get a call back from the social worker to discuss my mom's treatment plan and progress. By the time I got a call back, I was furious and wanted her out of there, which they initially refused to facilitate. They forgot my mom's medical appointments in spite of numerous reminders. When they finally acknowledged it, they didn't dress her and wouldn't transport her. The receptionists are on another planet and are absolutely no help. They don't even know who is coming or going. High points: There were a select few staff members who brought my mom joy and treated her with dignity, including a very sweet and charismatic male CNA, the kind-hearted man who does transportation, and the physical therapists, who were fantastic and the only staff members who actually communicated with me about her treatment plan, needs and progress. It's been six months and I still feel sick to my stomach anytime I'm nearby. Please do not send your loved one here, especially if they don't have the ability to advocate for their own needs.

The people that work there are all very kind. Can't say enough good things about them! PT is great!…read moreSo much better than PT in SF!

I only wish I had found her two months prior to my surgeries. I had major multiple surgeries and felt so ill-prepared for the post care. My husband was home to help me for a few days, but felt a little lost. He then had to go back to work and I was alone with our geriatric doggie and a lengthy recovery. I found Kelly, after-the-fact, and had another surgery scheduled three months later. My husband had already made arrangements to take off work for the week and help take care of me or else I would have hired Kelly because she was available. So, I did the next best thing ... I signed up for her post surgical care guide, and together my husband and I binge-watched her very informative videos, printed out and went over her e-book with step-by-step directions, tips and tricks with suggestions for helpful healing tools to purchase at the drug store, as well as yummy recipes she has for optimal nutritional healing. She also recommends an extremely helpful foam bed wedge pillow set - for back and legs support, sleeping upright, and surgical recovery, which has been the best investment, along with soft and easy convenient round sized ice packs. I could have really used them with my previous surgeries. Although Kelly and I have not met in person, which I hope we do sometime, I have spoken with her on the phone. She is very personable, helpful, compassionate, kind, sincere, trustworthy, caring and goes the extra mile to help. Seeing her in her videos, I get the feeling like I know her and I believe you will too. I truly recommend her for your personal surgical recovery nurse and/or her video and e-book surgical recovery program, which is included when you hire her for your post-op care. Follow her on Facebook and IG for her updates at KellyGreytokRN.

After speaking with Kelly I was confident she was the qualified processional I needed to handle my recovery care at home. Kelly not only has the medical qualification, she is a caring, compassionate person and dedicated to your recovery. I was luck she had an opening on her schedule. My aftercare, like many surgical procedures left me with multiple drains, dressing change, medications, etc. Things I was not familiar with nor prepared to deal with. Of course the print-outs and verbal instructions you receive at discharge don't truly help, even if you can remember what was said. Especially me, an accountant!! During my recovery, Kelly handled everything, she observed challenges I was experiencing and presented alternatives that made it much easier for me. Kelly keep my physician updated, trained me on doing the the drains, dressings, etc. Kelly not only provided excellent physical care, emotional support, encouragement to me, she was awesome with my best friend, Jesse James, my dog. I cannot say enough about Kelly and highly recommend her, if you are recovering at home, you need to have Kelly. Bonnie G

I received a call from Enloe ER stating he was in the ER and wanted me to know and they mentioned how serious it was. He was admitted with a LOTS of issues: dehyrated, hypotensive, enterocolitis, right lung pneumonia, positive finding for EPEC (interesting because prior I had called Chico Terrace because Larry had complained to me about having severe diarrhea and when I inquired with Chico Terrace I was informed he ONLY had a light case once and I said he told me for a few days and I was told no we have it written down one time. EPEC is ecoli strain that is usually from contaminated food and/or water), septis, UTI, infection in his stomach area, possible bowel obstruction, bed sores, list goes on. But hey, Chico Terrace had given him a tylenol but he didn't respond to it.....SAD because I had complained to the State approx 2 weeks prior WITH PHOTOS concerning lack of medical treatment and notification and the state ruled no violation!!!! He died. I tried to convince him NOT to go to this place to begin with!!!! AND when I went to get the paperwork to turn into DMV for him to have a handicap pass (again I have photos) their Doctor didn't even FILL OUT THE PAPERWORK, signed blank document and that is what I was given, when I questioned it the staff at the nurse said give it to me and she filled in where it states Doctor is to fill out, what a joke. I EVEN HAD ISSUES WITH THE PLACE into having my friend get to his SPECIALIST DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS!!! They didn't see the need and afterall I was told after 2 weeks of them telling me they had scheduled transport was told we already have 5 scheduled that day so no it wasn't going to happen. One morning I received a call from my friend they had actually CANCELLED an appointment that morning because they didn't have transport but they couldn't remember who they had cancelled with.

She is the person you would want looking after your loved one. If only she were the one looking after your family member. Like most care centers, they are understaffed. Residents wander around the facility. They enter other's rooms and go through their things. They get into arguements and sometimes get physical. There are not enough people there to appropriately manage the 'residents'. Many visits of mine included redirecting other residents out of my loved ones' room. Pressing the call button doesn't get you anyone to the room. DESPERATELY understaffed. My father was on hospice from Day 1 at this facility. That meant that Roseleaf provided very little care and relied upon Butte Home Health to take care of all the dirty work. Butte Home Health is not set up to be on site for all needs. My father most often was crusty eyed, never left his bed and didn't eat his meals. He had a colostomy bag and he would tear it off making a big mess. The business end of the business is not efficient. They are quite quick to require you to pay them for services - as a business should - but when they owe funds back to you after your loved ones' death - get ready to wait for many, many weeks. Excuses about people being away from their desk, let me look into this, our accounting department is in another state . . . and no one calls you back. Be sure to ask for paper documentation and receipts for all monies paid. You will need this to try and twist their arms to get your money back. It has now been over 6 months post death and I've yet to receive my refund for overpayment for care. They don't return calls. They don't respond to email. BEWARE!

They took great care of my mom during her final days. Shannon, Angela, Michelle, Anastasia Keith (and Keith's son who popped in) treated her like a person although mom was incoherent. Carmel was amazing with her after she passed while getting her ready for transport. She spoke to her as if she was still with us, telling mom each step she was taking and keeping her dignity as she prepared her for her trip. I was impressed with the compassion each staff member had for the family as well as the patient. They asked what they could do for us as individuals. I also was touched with the fact that if the staff was at the facility checking on other patients, they took the time to stop and check on mom and the family. I had no idea that BHHH has so many resources to offer families who are going through the passing process. I highly recommend their services to anyone in need. Thank you so much BHHH.

Many, however, transferred to Butte Home Health so the transition has been good. The RN is the most important and crucial, right? We met Pamela for her first visit and it only took minutes to be comfortable again. She is the personification of excellence, and I feel my wife has a concierge doctor/nurse when she is here and an advocate for her health. Today, Butte authorized a portable oxygen machine so that we have some additional options to go out and about. From medication organization and ordering to specific needs, we have appreciated each person, from Shannon, the social worker, to Theresa in PT, Chaplain Hugh, we feel so lucky. If this review can help others, then it is worth the time to have done it. All companies will have similar manuals, but it will always be the people and the human touch that determines their effectiveness. Butte Home Health deserves a huge thank you.
