I placed a call around 10:30 to Nissan Roadside Assistance yesterday morning from the business…read morewhere my car was, as I do not have a cell phone. I was given an estimate of about an hour. Maybe 10 minutes later, I received a call that it would be about 40 minutes, and they wanted to verify my information. I received a call around that time that the driver would be there in about 15 minutes. I got another call (all at the business where I waited, who was wonderful all around) asking if they were in the right place about 40-45 minutes later. I said I didn't see them. They said they were at a parking lot on the street they were told, but I KNOW the business owner told them the address and exact location, and so did I. They did arrive a short time later, but by now it was over 90 minutes since placing the call for towing. It took a LONG time to hook up the car, and then he asked where he was taking it, and if I was riding with him. He should've already HAD that information. Due to orthopedic issues, getting into the truck was not easy. He said he didn't know what to do to help me. The business where I waited had offered to drive me home before his arrival and I should've taken them up on that. We get to the lot of my apartment building, and I fell getting out of the truck. He asked if I was OK, but NEVER offered me assistance. A neighbor saw this, plus it was right in front of the building's office window, plus they have cameras, so I can back up this statement. I have a badly bruised elbow, tailbone, and my left leg is very swollen from the knee down, with a bruise in the crease behind the knee. I'm having to borrow my husband's cane just to get around the apartment. I also told him he had the car in 2 spots. Spots are assigned here, and I told him if she came home, there was no way for her to be able to park. He did NOTHING about it. At least the person on the end can park a little bit over if need be, but they shouldn't have to do that. Soooo, in the end, I placed the call around 10:30 and didn't get into my apartment until 12:55...all to be towed ONE MILE.

So after driving around Oakland, Lawrenceville, and northern suburbs, my car started feeling different. It was hot so I stopped at a gas station to get a cold drink. Getting of the car, I smelled something mechanical and saw flames coming out of my hubcap. (insert bad idea) I blew out the flames. Using my AAA app, I requested a tow to the dealership. The initial time was almost an hour wait. I received an update immediately and in 15 minutes Brent arrived. He took a video of the car current state. Then he loaded the car and took more video. We followed Brent to the dealership where he described the car issues to staff and his idea of issue. 100% professional - thankful for the timely service

Minich Towing & Recovery -- YOU STOLE MY CAR (100 DAYS AND COUNTING)…read more Minich Towing has had my 2021 Volkswagen Jetta (VIN: 3VWC57BU8MM006071) for 100 days and refuses to return it. This is theft -- plain and simple. My car was taken from private property on June 22, 2025 without my consent, without any lawful property-owner request, and without any valid public-safety justification. A public officer cannot lawfully order a tow unless the owner or property owner authorizes it, or the vehicle is on public property, involved in an accident, creating an immediate hazard, or has been abandoned in accordance with Pennsylvania abandoned-vehicle procedures. None of those conditions applied. I have photos, timestamps, and documentation proving ownership and the circumstances of the tow. Minich is now on notice: I will hold you fully responsible. I am preparing to file civil claims, IRS Form 1099-A notices, and criminal complaints for unlawful acquisition and conversion of private property, and I will involve federal and state investigators -- including the FBI and the Pennsylvania Attorney General -- if this is not resolved immediately. I am assessing $5,000 per day in claimed damages beginning June 22, 2025; after 100 days, that totals $500,000 in pending claims. I have proof. This is not a threat -- it is a statement of fact and intent. Return my vehicle now. Why this is illegal: A tow under these facts is an unlawful tow and an improper conversion of property when done without proper authorization or process. Colluding with public officers to seize private property and then demanding exorbitant storage fees is unacceptable and may constitute conspiracy and theft. Relevant authority (on seizure, due process, and state action -- federal precedent): Fuentes v. Shevin, 407 U.S. 67 (1972) -- property may not be taken without due process; seizure requires appropriate process. Calero-Toledo v. Pearson Yacht Leasing Co., 416 U.S. 663 (1974) -- civil forfeiture and seizure doctrines require statutory safeguards and due process. Soldal v. Cook County, 506 U.S. 56 (1992) -- private actor seizures done with state involvement can constitute state action subject to constitutional scrutiny. United States v. James Daniel Good Real Property, 510 U.S. 43 (1993) -- notice and opportunity to be heard are required before significant deprivations of property. Monell v. Department of Social Services, 436 U.S. 658 (1978) -- municipalities and public agencies can be held liable when their policies or customs cause constitutional violations. Bottom line: You took my car. I have proof. You do not have lawful grounds. Return it immediately or face full legal, administrative, and criminal consequences. This is an easy lawsuit for unlawful tow, conversion, and collusion with public officers. I am done playing games. -- Darian Taylor Jr. Private Living Man -- Owner of VIN 3VWC57BU8MM006071 34 Prospect Ave, Franklin, PA
