They came and got their equipment about 20 mins after I got home from taking all the tests Medicare wanted. My doctor had told me the test results were bad and I needed the equipment. Right after I got home from going through the tests I got a call that they were picking up their equipment. I asked them if they had even talked to my doctor. Their reply no matter what I said was 'we are on the way to pick up our equipment'. When I reported this to my doc she called Alpine. I told them about everything that had happened. The Alpine rep told me not to worry about Medicare or any expenses, they would take care of that. They were very kind and told me again not to worry about any expenses that I already had enough to worry about. Alpine brought the needed equipment that same day. If you are ever unfortunate and need medical equipment I highly recommend Alpine. I'd give them 10 stars if I could!

They were out within 1 hour of us calling to get the papework done, and Sue (who enrolled her) even went out to medical supply company to get tubes we needed for oxygen (the company had delivered the wrong kind.) The nurses who came out, Nurse's Assistant, and the social worker, were helpful in every possible way. They explained things that were happening, and helped us understand and what to expect. When one medicine she was on seemed to quit working, they worked with the doctors to find a different one which would work better - and it did. They went above and beyond what we could have asked for - yet didn't push any agenda. They offered options, then went with what my mom decided she wanted to do. I truly appreciated their willingness to work with our whole family, not just one or two of us, in understanding and working through this process. I'd refer them in a heartbeat to anyone who needs this service.

Everyone, CNA, Nurse, Chaplain, Social Worker & Physical Therapist, are the BEST. They are loving & dependable. If you should need to contact the nurse after hours, it is one of their staff that know all about the personal needs of the patient. It's not an answering service that has to call you back! We couldn't be more pleased. As odd as it is they have become part of the family!

When she didn't show up and I had clear signs of infection, I called Summit. She came to check my knee, but acted put out the entire time that she was here. She said, my elevated fever, redness, warmth and the unbearable burning was all "nothing but normal brusing". My husband got me into the doctor and I had a very serious infection. Weeks past and I never once heard from the nurse again. Not even a phone call to check on me. My doctor's office is disgusted that Summit didn't provide me with supplies to change the dressing on my knee while my incision was draining. I have dealt with numerous home health care agencies over the years with both my elderly parents and in-laws, as well as several past surgeries that I have had. I have never had as poor of care as what I received from Summit. They are a disgrace!

His health is average for his age but is declining. Solstice Hospice is a locally owned company who is not centered around only making Big Bucks like most of the other institutional companies. I have been in Retail my entire life and I have n e v e r had such incredible service from the staff that takes care of my Dad. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable and kind. We have a team who cares for Dad: We have CNA Care from a remarkable fellow named Vlad who helps Dad shower 2-3 days a week; A wonderful Social Worker, Tammy; Debbie, an RN of 40 years who knows more than most Doctors I know and her demeanor is stellar (& is so funny!); A non-denominational Chaplin who helps with the big unknowns; Get this, A Music Therapist! Dad has played Saxophone, Clarinet and Piano all his life. She plays the guitar and sings with perfect pitch all the old songs Dad & Mom used to dance to. And last but not least. An amazing woman who is a Foot Zone Therapist! She is a professional therapeutic foot zone practitioner who has been doing this for 18 years. You have, have, have to see it to believe it! Or should I say feel it. She helps Dad so much on an uplifting emotional, spiritual and physical level. Dad always asks, "Is this the day that my feet get Zoned?" He loves everyone who helps him as do I. If you are scouting for a genuine caring, sincere, and ethically run Hospice Company please give these wonderful people a call. All you need to do is have the patient's doctor provide a certificate indicating the areas of decline they are experiencing. Your loved ones deserve this kind of attention and care. Laurie Metcalf.
