They told me that I was the first person in the…read morehistory of their practice that could not input all of their medical data, prescriptions, surgeries, history, family history, etc with 100% accuracy on the tablet. I have been to many medical facilities in the past three years and it is the first time I was asked to be the medical records clerk for myself. I use a smart phone and a laptop, but not a tablet. My husband tried to help but we could not get the correct info input. Everywhere else, someone took my info and they input it into the system that they know well and were trained on. I am to get an injection in my neck. When I expressed my apprehension to get the procedure when my medical information was incomplete, I was told to "Take it or leave it". "The info does not matter anyway." Gives them an out if there is a problem, right? It was my responsibility to get all relevant information into their system, not them. I am all for progress but when it comes to medical issues, their data collection needs to be user friendly. They have to know that patient inputted data has to be at high risk of being inaccurate. Apparently they do not care about accuracy. How does that impact care at this facility?

But almost everyone else who I have worked with/talked to is so hard for me (Many of the nurses and PAC's). They don't take time to read the charts or they don't understand certain things so I have to retell my story everytime and it is so annoying and makes appointments a lot harder. I have a history of recurrent pregnancy loss and Dr. Kirkman has been amazing to work with. The office is HORRIBLE at returning phone calls HORRIBLE. They never call me back with lab results, I always have to call them and am usually on hold for 10+ minutes. I think they have called me back 2/10 times when they said they would and it was always at least a few days or weeks later than they said I should expect the call. The only reason we stay here is because of Dr. Kirkman. After our third miscarriage, Mickensi Paget said "like 90% of miscarriages are genetic and are just chromosomal abnormalities so if I were you guys I wouldn't even worry! Who knows, maybe next time you'll have twins." And then she said "and next pregnancy we'll have you take progesterone and baby aspirin." I told her I was taking it during that pregnancy and she said ... "oh you were? Dang. That helps almost everyone we see." That is not the time or place to say any of those things and I know a lot of miscarriages are due to chromosomal abnormalities, but it isn't 90% of them, especially not with recurrent loss. There was no reason for her to say those things and my husband and I both felt they were very insensitive comments. I hope she can realize the effect of her words and next time stick with "I'm sorry you're going through this" or anything else then what she said.

Scheduling appointments here has been a nightmare for my wife. The front desk does not understand how to schedule appointments the doctor asks for. The phones do not get answered. Messages do not get responded to. This is beyond unacceptable, especially just days before potential delivery. Edit: Thank you for the follow-up on google. She has now seen the doctor who was able to squeeze in time for her between appointments which we are very grateful for. He stated that these issues will be addressed and he scheduled delivery of our little girl in a few days. I appreciate the communication on it and truly hope that front desk issues end up being fixed, as it did add doubt, fear and uncertainty on multiple visits, but worst of all on this critical one.
