After a few trial-and-error visits around town, we finally landed on Internal Barbershop -- and we're so glad we did. Jose and Phil are our go-to barbers now. They're friendly, professional, and consistently do a fantastic job. The shop itself is clean, modern, simple, and conveniently located. It's also handicap accessible, which we really appreciate. They even have a small kids' corner, offer water, and have hair products for sale. We've been coming here for about a year now and won't go anywhere else. I don't want to speak negatively about this business or against Jose but I am highly disappointed with the haircut he gave me recently. I had expressed to him I am getting married on Friday and showed him a picture of what I was aiming for. I think he was in a bad mood and was very distracted because he immediately was complaining about his ex wife and how I shouldn't get married. I wanted a med to high fade leaving extra length on top with just some texture and even everything out. Well my top is way shorter than I liked and one side is completely higher and uneven compared to my other side. I would have been better off cutting my own hair. One of the most important days in my life is going to be ruined. I can never go back to him. read more

This place is great. The prices are very affordable, especially if you have kids and get your cut at the same time. The staff here all know how to cut hair very well. I have asked for some ridiculous hair styles and they pulled through each time, even I was impressed. Everyone here is extremely friendly as well and the environment is drama free. Our first time there. My teenager needed a haircut, going from one long-worn style to something completely different. We got there and were greeted warmly, my son was taken back to the barber's station where he shared a photo of his desired style, and the barber got to work. She took her time, and after asking a few questions about what he wanted, decided it needed a scissor cut and got to work. He was really happy with the results and we'll be back. read more

I've been going exclusively to my guy Jose for 5+ years now, and will not change unless forced to. I followed him from his old job (working at a barbershop) to International Barbershop (his business) as he's well worth an extra 5 minute drive. Quick cuts that look like they took hours, great conversation, and typically very accommodating to a crazy schedule. What can I say? I'm biased as I've been fortunate to have known Jose and having him cut my hair for 12-15 yrs. I knew he was good when we first connected at another shop in a different city. When I learned he was opening a new shop after my move to Brookfield I was elated. If you've not seen on the TV news how he donated PPE supplies for first responders during COVID and that telling you the kind of man he is... I can tell you through knowing him for years, he's TRULY a smart, genuine, caring man and good friend. His pride in his work is second to none, the standards he sets for his staff are high but they reward him with providing the same professionalism and quality. So those few times when I am not able to squeeze an appointment in with Jose, I have no issue with trusting any of the staff to do a great job. As old as the cliche is... "Try it, you'll like it."
