My favorite dish is #2 Iskender kebab. I have no idea how well it heats up at home because I've never left and not cleaned my plate! I get this almost every time I come with someone and we share a couple dishes. Today however, I got my second favorite, which is dish #1 the diner kebab platter. I get this when I come here by myself because it's got all my favorites in the perfect proportions! Salad, doner over pilaf with hummus and pita. The folks here are super friendly and service is amazing. I love sitting in a little eating area because it makes me feel like I'm back in Europe traveling.

I had the arancini today; yes some places have fancier arancini but for the price, these were excellent and made a good small lunch (they come with marinara sauce). Also got lasagna to go and we ate it tonight-- delicious. The tray we got seemed expensive a bit but it was PLENTY for four hungry folks, with no other items served. LOVED the sausage I tasted in there. The lunchroom is basic; you order in the store then they'll bring it to you in the little room (where the shop used to be). You can get soft drinks or beer with the lunch from their shop, too. GREAT addition to Maryville/Alcoa eating!

It was great, came with beans, rice and tortillas. They are open for breakfast at 6a so stop in and say hi and give this local deli a try.
