My family loves Publix. While it doesn't have some of the coupons that other stores has, it's our go-to grocery store. It's always organized. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The selection is good. And the produce is always in better shape than some of our local stores. It's clean and bright. The bakery section is delicious. Some of their cakes are more moist and delicious than a few more expensive local bakeries. And they always have a decent selection, if you need a cake quick. If one of my kids happen to have to use the bathroom, I'm not worried they are going to get infected with anything because it's clean too. Overall a great, small grocery store. read more

This review pertains to the Publix product, "Greenwise Tomato and Basil Ravioli". This is without a doubt the worst ravioli I've ever eaten. There was very little filling inside the ravioli to the point where it had no taste aside from cooked pasta dough, so it tasted of nothing. To call this "ravioli" is an insult to every Italian kitchen which has produced actual ravioli. The package states in part, "...with mozzarella, ricotta, and parmesan cheeses". As there was no taste of any of these ingredients perhaps the three cheeses were present nearby in the production facility which made this awful product but never actually used in the making of this "pasta". Italian chefs across the globe are crying tears of disgust at your company's labelling of this "food product" as ravioli. My Bride and I cooked half the package contents and after tasting the finished result threw away 90% of what we cooked and the remainder of the package. If Publix's goal is to attain mediocrity, well, congratulations, you've made it. read more

We got a very reasonable price for a specialty chocolate ganache cake that looks even better than it appeared online. Even more, the ladies working in the bakery were SO personable and friendly despite how obviously busy they were. Cakes and cupcakes and pies and cookies filled the wall, all just waiting for people to come in and pick them up, but the bakers seemed in no way flustered or preoccupied. Let's just make this easy. Publix is known for their deli department and their fresh ingredients. And along with all those nice things comes with a higher price. So, if you are looking for something cheap, you won't find it here. Things that you get here will be a little higher on the price side, but for us we only go to the deli section for their selection of cheeses and meats. There really is no other downside, it's a public chain grocery store, and there's nothing else to talk about. Yep, the only thing about Publix is the deli section. Check it out. read more

The first introduction we had to Publix supermarkets was while visiting the Charleston, South Carolina area two years ago. We moved to Knoxville 18 months ago and were excited about the new Publix at Northshore, but even more excited about the Turkey Creek Publix because it's less than 3 miles from our home. When the Grand Opening occurred on Thursday morning, we were so excited and we were not disappointed. The quality of the products is a primary reason for shopping here, but equal to the quality of the products is the people who staff the store. They are so very friendly, helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. I feel like I'm with family each time I've visited since Thursday (3 times). With a full-service, deli with a sit down eating area, and a bakery that is the only commercial grocer bakery in Knoxville that actually bakes their own cakes on site, a fabulous meat and seafood department, pharmacy with drive-up windown, and an incredible International Section where you can find items from Germany, Greece, Portugal, France, Italy, Mexico, Turkey and other countries. Such a terrible experience! Traveling in our RV and stopped in to patronize a cute little breakfast place, get juice from a juice bar and buy a toothbrush from Publix. Having been parked in an almost empty parking lot early AM for 2 hours the local authorities tapped on the door. I was advised multiple calls from Publix were made about a suspicious vehicle. Appalled, I returned to confront the management at the business as to why... I was basically told they didn't need or want my business. Okay.. Got it! This is a great store to shop at. Yes, you will spend more money here for food, it's the truth, however, the customer service is why people go back again and again. In fact we've selected Publix catering, the Apron, to take care of all our elegant cakes, three tier wedding cake, Bridal party pre-wedding food, and floral for my daughters wedding. The customer service by the catering department was fantastic. They took a ton of time to make sure we had what we wanted. They took a ton of time to ensure we were comfortable with our order. QUICK AND EASY! My husband and I stopped by this store again while returning from our trip up North. This time we decided to eat in. I ordered the kale and turkey sausage soup while my husband ordered the cheddar and broccoli soup. We shared a turkey on whole wheat and this was a whole lot of sandwich. My soup was delicious as expected and I was surprised at how light my husband's was because creamy soups just tend to be a bit heavy. Lunch was good, quick and easy. They also called my phone but did not leave a voicemail about the update on the cake . When I arrived my cake was the way I described it to the bakery but some how the information was wrong . Every time I enter the store the staff is friendly and greets me. They have a good fresh selection of produce and vegetables. Their subs are excellent as well as the mac & cheese which is made with Gouda. They are beer and wine selection is decent. The only thing I would like to see more of is a wider selection in their fresh vegan section. read more

I love the cleanliness and organization of this store. The staff at this store is amazing with the exception of the deli. I waited in line for 20 mins to have the sub guy take 15 mins just to make my sandwich! He added jalapeños and bell peppers to my sub which i did not ask for and don't come with the sandwich i got. He did not put lettuce or tomatoes on the sandwich, plus he charged me the normal price for the sandwich which was on sale for $2 less than the normal price. So when I accidentally ordered my sandwich tray for the wrong day Ashley at the catering desk did everything possible to get me what I needed. We went back to the deli and Ashley and I think her name was demetria? brainstormed on how to get my sandwiches together. I kept insisting it was okay because it was my fault but they insisted on making my tray happen. In general, I like the store. It's clean and the staff are very kind and helpful. But, their produce department is disappointing to say the least. I was there yesterday and all the corn was dry and shriveled up, the peaches were all bruised and too many other things to mention. For a supermarket that's more on the high end, I expect better. So disappointed in this Publix. They only have 3 checkout lines that are not self serve and I have only ever seen one open. I have tried self checkout twice...first kept saying for me to place item in bag, which I had done that. Even employee couldn't get it to work. Then I have to look up all my produce.
