This is my first time using IPS to ship the package; I'm very unhappy with the customer services manager Dayanne I was on the phone trying to get an explanation regarding the different billing charges I received after completing my order online and paying the shipping charge. She was so rude speaking on the phone, lost her cool, and after I said to lower her voice and asked to speak with the manager she said raised her voice even more and told me that she is the manager and hung up on me and left me talking by myself. This is a follow-up to a review I recently gave IPS Parcel. I shipped a crate with them in December via DHL. DHL mis-measured my crate and IPS charged me an additional $542 for the new dimensions. Despite filling out the IPS claim form, IPS did not investigate the issue at all. I worked diligently with DHL and obtained a picture of crate from one of their warehouses. From that picture, I was able to prove to them the DHL measurements were incorrect. Once again, IPS didn't help at all. Here's the interesting part. Through my dealings with DHL, I learned that DHL invoiced IPS $743 for my shipment. Guess how much IPS charged me? $1321. IPS made a profit of $578 on my shipment. Given the very healthy margins for a simply pass-thru service, you would think they would help clients with claims. Want to know the icing on the cake? Stacie Ross at IPS now wants to charge me a $125 'charge back' fee. Sound insane? It is. IPS didn't investigate the claim, I did all the work (and turned out to be right). IPS was unnecessarily rude and blamed me for the mistake, and then they want to charge me an additional $125? What a company. You should check out their Facebook reviews as well before doing business with them. I would expect more help from a company making $578 profit on a shipment that cost them $743. Probably much easier to ship directly with the carriers as opposed to dealing with the shenanigans of IPS. read more

First time using IPS, very poor services!! never use it again!! As a shipping middle man, IPS failed to educate clients on restrictions of shipped contents in destination countries, such as value ceilings, and other restrictive rules. anyways it happened to the package i sent to an Asian country last week. since I had no previous experience in shipping packages to overseas country, it was too late when I learned that recipient won't be able to clear the custom and now contents might be confiscated by destination country customs, it is like catching 22, it will be too expensive to pay double shipping fees to get the contents back nor could the recipient claim the goods I sent last week, what a mess! and I think IPS is directly responsible for my big loss. Finally I tried to write to IPS trying to resolve the incident, I was told it was my responsibility to observe destination country custom rules, also I was blocked from responding the info@ips emails. basically IPS has no interest of hearing back from its unsatisfying customers.. read more

I would give Zero if I could. I sent a package to the UK on June 7. Their website states: True online tracking, all the way to the final destination. Your packages will be delivered in 3 to 5 business days. Nope. Neither was true. It arrived at their Florida depot on June 12. I called on June 14 to find out why I hadn't gotten any tracking notification for the overseas part. They said it would take a few days. On June 21 I got a notice that it "would arrive at the airport on June 30, and I could start tracking it on July 5th". Meaning it would be over a month until my package arrived. Which is a far cry from the estimated date of June 27th. The site does say, upon choosing a carrier (I chose the least expensive, which they boast as one of the biggest in Europe) : This is a door to door service. Your package will be shipped by FEDEX ground to our location in Clearwater Florida and from there it will be shipped by Air Freight to our European Partner GLS for final delivery to the recipient. Estimated shipping time is 7 - 10 business days. Due to the fact that Airline flight schedules may vary, this is not a time definite service. MAX Insurance is $300.00 Ok, fair enough. 7 - 10 business days. Possible flight schedule delays. That's what, a day? Maybe two? Had I known, I would have spent the extra and gone USPS or UPS or FedEx. That package contained ALL of my band's merchandise, which we need for our tour. The representative, Kimber Ross, attempted to put all the blame on me by saying "It says right on the website "this is not a time definite service". Right, she forgot about the qualifier: "possible flight delays". In other words, a bunch of BS. DO NOT use this service. They are a disaster, they don't take responsibility, they won't warn you even if you call, and (this is great) they even prominently display a 10% discount for first time shippers. It's supposed to be a refund. They didn't even do that, despite repeated requests and assurances it would be taken care of. AVOID! If you are looking for international shipping, maybe you should take our experience as an example to consider whether you want to ship your item by this company. My wife shipped her package from Boston to Shanghai last month, and she recently received a notice from China Customs that the package cannot clear if the shipper is not entering the country. The Customs will either destroy or return her package to Boston. Before she shipped her package, we checked with this company whether the package is ok to ship to Shanghai. IPS is now asking us to pay ALL fees related to shipping, returning and the fees incurred as the package was held in the warehouse at the customs. I called their customer service, hoping to find a way to solve the problem. In return we GOT YELLED at by the representative, saying that these were our faults BYEBYE. Their site quotes you cheap prices for a reason! Avoid at all costs!!! Wow I am shocked at the conversation that I had with the Vice President of this company today. I found their site in hopes of saving money on sending an international package. I've added images from their site about what it states for shipping. The shipping I picked quoted me a time of 12-15 business days. After 17 business days the owner of the package was starting to become very concerned. I called to find out what was going on because the only tracking I had said the package made it to their distribution center but then stopped. I was told I would have to email. I emailed asking where this package was and when it would arrive in Austria. The response I was given was this: We are working on the GLS shipments and unfortunately there are several shippers that did not provide the correct details so we are giving them time to provide the correct details, they will have until the end of business tomorrow. Once the second part of the shipment has been processed we will the new tracking number and link for tracking. I was very concerned because this sounded like the package was missing. I checked in the following day and got this response: GLS is a non time definite shipment and yes we have to give all of the customers time to provide details of their shipments so that it will clear customs. As I stated we are working on getting everything done and once it has been book onto a cargo flight we will email you the new tracking number and link for tracking. Also in the email you sent below your tracking number is not listed and that is why I asked for it, since you have now provided the tracking number I can see what is going on with your shipment. We have everything for your package to be shipped and as soon as everything is processed we will let you know the new tracking number. Now I was really frustrated and called to see what was really going on. Mind you I had provided this tracking number at the beginning of my email. When I called the customer service person acted like a rude teenager who just kept repeating the same answer. I asked when will this leave your center ? Response "when we can book a plane." Me: ok so that could be tomorrow, that could be next week, or could be six months from now you are unsure ? Response "when we can book a plane." Me: ma'am that is not answering my question She continued to repeat this 3 or 4 times while I tried to cut her off and say that this was not helpful and to transfer me. She wouldn't transfer me until I provided the tracking. I told her I felt like she was being very rude and I wanted to speak to a supervisor. She then just repeated what is your tracking, what is your tracking... I got upset and said I do not want to talk to you please get me a supervisor and she hung up. I called back got her again , again she refused to transfer me. Called the main number got the Vice President listed in my photo I told her that the previous person was very rude and not helpful. To which she did not seem to care and just said sorry you feel that way. She could not tell me when this would ship and also would not apologize for the bad service I had received. I told her I was very displeased with this service and my concern was not the time this was taking but rather the way I was being treated and what I was having to go through to find out simple information. She then said "what do you want me to apologize for? For Not shipping this quicker, for not having tracking information today for you, for not being guaranteed service which our site mentions 4 times ( none of which I could easily find) ... she continue to attack me to which I said "no I'm asking for you to recognize that this customer service is not up to par and your employee was very rude". I was shocked to hear her say she was not rude I'm not going to say sorry for any of that. I hung up and was shocked. I've never had a place be so rude, specially someone with this title. DO NOT USE- DISHONEST THIEVES I shipped a painting to a customer in London in April 2018 using International Parcel Services. They sent the painting via FEDEX tracking number 780612283178. The painting shortly after went missing and was never found. I soon found out that I could not file a claim, even though I was the actual sender, that only IPS could file a claim. Stacie Ross, Vice President at IPS filed the claim of $300 and then completely ignored my calls and e-mail messages. This went on for months. I finally contacted FEDEX in September and they confirmed that the claim was paid on July 7th and cleared the bank on August 29th. I finally received a reply from Stacie and she said IPS still hadn't been paid and assured me that when they received payment, they would forward it on to me. I finally made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau BBB in mid-November and the next day I magically received an e-mail from IPS that FEDEX had finally paid them and they were sending me a check. The painting went missing in April, FedEx paid the claim in July and I finally received payment November 20th only after contacting the BBB. IPS is dishonest, unprofessional and Stacie Ross is one of the most disagreeable and rude people I have ever dealt with. Had I not contacted the BBB i believe they would have just ignored me and kept the claim money. Avoid my bad experience, AVOID using IPS. read more

I sent 2 boxes from the USA to Europe. All the Bad: 1. Website quote: competitive so put my credit card and arrange all my stuffs and 48h later I receive an email telling me I have to pay an extra $92 (so almost 50% more than the original price) because there was a glitch in their quote - no choice but paying since I did already paid the first amount and the only other option given to me was to cancel (too late to do that and manage the refund drama) 2. Another request arrived then to pay for $100 duties / customs (I would have apprieciated a heads up on the amount since they manage to charge me before it was sent... They do mention that payment but never how much even if you provide a full list of the content on the website. 3. Customer service 1... When I called about the duty which was payabble by the receiver the customer service insisted that it had to be paid before the parcels left... ok... 4. Customer service 2... OH MY !!! Brendon was treating me as if I was an idiot "what is it you don't understand sir?", "it is all written in the email sir". I have never been patronized that way on a call... Horrible experience. Do NOT use IPS! If you think that the advertised prices are too good to be true, then you are right. What they do not tell you is that the receiver will have to pay ~70% IN ADDITION to whatever you pay, and that has nothing to do with import custom taxes. I shopped around and they seemed the most reasonable, so I shipped my package through them. The service said "door to door" and I paid $121. It did say that the receiver is responsible for paying custom taxes. My son received an Invoice from them for $79: custom taxes $0, but $52 custom clearance fee plus $27 local delivery fee. I called and asked why do they charge additional "local delivery fee" if the service I paid for was "door to door" and why they don't disclose upfront that the receiver must pay additional 70% of what I already paid. The customer service lady was very rude and not helpful. She said I can return the package (I am sure I would need to pay another $121 for that!) or they discard the package if my son doesn't pays the additional $79. Shame on them! read more

I have used IPS for a number of items to be sent to me in the Middle East and Australia. They used to be ok to use. But they have gone down hill. They lost an item and it took many months for them to acknowledge their responsibility. And in the end, you don't get your money back for the item, I only received a credit for their own services. Now I have an item stuck with them in Clearwater Florida. I do not want the item sent to my overseas address (Australia) as the size of it makes it more expensive to send here than the item is actually worth. I asked whether they would send it to a USA address so that my son can receive it as he was on holidays in Las Vegas, but they wont. I asked if I could arrange to have it collected from their depot, but got no response. My only option is to either have it sent back to the supplier, which in this case is a private ebay seller who does not want to have it back. Or let IPS dispose of the item. Bad customer experience from their very top. Are not reasonable about helping out customers. How hard is it to let me arrange collection from their depot? Very hard for them it seems, or they can not be bothered. I recommend to others to look for another company to do your shipping. These people are not helpful if things do not go completely right. I do not write casual negative reviews. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I wish it were possible to give IPS Parcel less than one star. I will summarize what happened best I can, but it is a long story with damaging consequences, so if you are interested you'd better buckle up. To preface, I run a small online business out of my home and used IPS with the intent of saving an overseas client money. Back in September 2012 (note, nearly 2 years ago) my one employee mixed up two packages. Unfortunately though we do very little overseas business, she sent one of the two mixed up large and high value boxes to a client in Australia via ipsparcel.net. Once we realized this, we got the right box back from the domestic client and used IPS to send it on to AU with no issue. I can hardly give them credit for that. IPS helped us in having the incorrect parcel rerouted back to Houston before it was delivered in AU. Since IPS was effectively the shipper, that had to be in their hands. The cost of this rerouting was somehow nearly $200 more than the cost of initial shipping. IPS told me the cost only after rerouting it back home. I said that was not ok and wanted to figure out how it could be corrected to a fair amount but IPS charged my card over $500 anyway and said that was the cost and there was nothing they could do. I shrugged it off and was ultimately just glad to have the right boxes in the right places in the end. However, this was ultimately the least of my problems with this company. By the time I realized I should dispute with Visa it was far too late. Some 6 or so months after that expensive mistake, our client in Australia was sent a $500 bill for freight on the rerouted package. It never even touched her doorstep. I called IPS calmly asking for help. They were friendly, but it did take a little nagging, prodding, and some time for them to "resolve" the issue. It went away and all was fine. But then a few months later, my client receives the same bill AGAIN. I go calmly back to IPS. They are "baffled" at why this is happening, report to me they will have an executive look into it, then after a couple of weeks they PROMISE me it's been taken care of. I sent my client in AU a bouquet of apology flowers. That is how you customer service. All was fine until several months later she again started getting bills in the mail from FedEx, accompanied by many FedEx phone calls claiming that the sender (who she at this point only saw as me) was refusing to pay. IPS made it go away again for a couple of months. Then it came back yet again, with a vengeance. This time my client also started getting calls from a lawyer for FedEx. This latest batch of harassment began a little over a month ago. One day the flow of paper to my innocent client's mailbox mysteriously doubled into a $1000 invoice. Her scanner couldn't reproduce the bill clearly enough to send through email and IPS said they had to see it with better clarity in order to finally and completely work through this. She sent a hard copy to me via airmail and I immediately forwarded it to IPS in clear digital form upon receipt. For the last several weeks after this latest relapse, IPS has been politely putting me off, telling me certain executives are on vacation, then that they are actively working it out, etc. The representative I was working with was personable. Meanwhile my client is filled with rage directed my way. I did not want to pay off FedEx if there was a way to obtain justice. I was already fully paid up with IPS so I tried again to work it out. However, today I called FedEx Australia to really dig for information and resolution. I was informed IPS had disputed that invoice repeatedly and that's why the bill automatically started going to my client, who was shown as the sender. When IPS would dispute it, the bills would lapse. Then they would come back after IPS lost the dispute. It all makes sense now. I did not understand this until today but this has blacklisted my client's credit. It is not just a bad score lowering mark like in the US. I learned today that according to Australian law this sort of thing actually shuts an individual's credit down. After exhausting myself with IPS - bugging them daily for weeks - the only thing I can do at this point to save my client's sanity and credit is to pay the $1000 bill. Hurray! This is the story of how an unfortunate $1000 mix up has become a $2000 loss due to IPS Parcel. I have learned from talking with FedEx and from this experience of course that using any third party shipping service - though it might save money - is dangerous. When things go wrong you may end up helpless. FedEx cannot help you if you are not the account holder. I tried that route too, exhaustively. I will in the future avoid all of these services but IPS PARCEL is horrible and that fact needs to be known. They are deceitful, unethical, inept, unprofessional (reaaaally that one puts it lightly) and at worst: FRAUDULENT. read more

This is a borderline scam! Yes, they did deliver the package but the final cost of shipping was more than 3 times larger than what they quoted me originally. I was shipping a large package (40 lbs) to Netherlands, and on FedEx website got directed to IPS. I got a quote of $142, while USPS was charging $169 for the same size package! Once they processed my order, before they even picked up the package, the person who was supposed to get it got a bill for 108 Euros, supposedly the customs fee! They told me I have to pay that before they can pick-up the packages. They were rude and argued with me that it has nothing to do with them, since that is what Netherlands customs charge, and supposedly I would have to pay the same with whoever else I ship with. So, I paid it and the package was delivered. But then the person who I shipped it to got another bill for "local delivery charge" for 183 Euros! Will never again use their service nor FedEx, which allows this dishonest pricing! read more

I have used IPS for over a year, approximately once a week, and I have never encountered a problem, in fact, I find the customer service very satisfactory. I have a business which is focused on exporting, and I am very familiar with the procedures. IPS has saved us a bundle because their discount is higher than what I get with my DHL account. I've read the comments here and I really do not think that most of the commentators understand about international shipping or how DHL works. If there is a problem, it is best to communicate with DHL or Fed Ex yourself to get it resolved. IPS is just a third party freight reseller. For the person who was complaining about DHL not showing up, when you click "arrange for a pick up," you should have gotten a confirmation number. If you did not, then the pick up did not go through. If DHL did not come then you should have called them to see what happened. There was someone here complaining because they made a mistake and misaddressed a package and then was charged for rerouting it, yes, they do that. It is extra handling for DHL or Fed Ex. I think most of these complaints are very unfair, and were made by people unfamiliar with international shipping. I have had nothing but good experiences and service with IPS. read more

What a horrible experience I had sending my package through this company. When I called with a legitimate question weeks after I started the process, I was met with rudeness, annoyance, ridicule and no answer to my question. I worried and worried for weeks, not knowing if my package would get to its destination. Had I sent it to an illegitimate company? Had I been scammed? After I told the first gal I spoke with that I still hadn't gotten an answer, her response was, "I've been on the phone with you for a long time." It felt like years to me, but in actuality maybe four minutes, but a four minutes which still did not answer my question. I asked for the manager and after many minutes another woman got on the phone and immediately lit into me, not even giving me a chance to ask my question. I told her I was sorry I annoyed her, and she didn't dissuade me. After I got a partial answer, I thanked her and in an extremely sarcastic voice she said, "You're welcome." I was so concerned given their bizarre conduct that I actually worried they would lose my package on purpose. Very unprofessional, very rude and horrible women. They both seemed to take delight in making me squirm. Both of them were bullies. I would never use them again and would highly recommend everyone stay clear and find another way to send your package. My package did finally arrive which is why I now write this review. I didn't want to write until I was sure they couldn't take revenge. read more

Truly terrible. My parcel left California on May 12, and was delivered to France on June 19, for a service advertised as 7-10 business days. The only positive thing I can report on this outfit is that the parcel was delivered! Customer service was particularly bad, with emails bordering on rude, and relying on CYA small print. I am still so shocked with what I have just gone through with IPS, that I am finding it hard to find the words the describe it. I guess this is also my mistake for not reading for the Yelp reviews above before doing business with IPS. Well, I had to ship an oversize package overseas, and having shopped around, I quickly realized that shipping my item would cost me three times the cost of the item. I googled around a bit, and ran into IPS, whose quote was half the regular FedEx price. Too good to be true? That's exactly what it turned out to be. My time sensitive package was delayed by 6 full days, and at the point it was delivered, it was of no use for the recipient. IPS told me that they would file a claim on my behalf with FedEx. The claim was filed but I did not hear back from IPS at all. I would try to reach out to them once in a while, and in the beginning they would send me quick responses like, the claims take up to 8 weeks, we will let you know as soon as we find out. After a while, well into two plus months since we filed my claim, they simply stopped responding to my emails. One, two, three emails in the span of four weeks unanswered. I decided to call them, and of course the person in charge is not available, but within minutes from my call I get an email that from them telling me that FedEx denied my claim despite their (IPS) pleas. I found it hard to believe, so I call them, and the person I talked to was extremely rude, lectured me on FedEx and international shipping, and 'showed me' - she asked me to look at my original shipment - why FedEx denied my claim. I was quite surprised, knowing FedEx is quite good about their guarantee, so I called FedEx, and lo and behold, they tell me that the claim has been approved (two months earlier!!!) and that the full shipping charge has been reversed and credited back to IPS. While this is what I was kind of expecting, or rather at least hoping to hear, I still found it hard to believe that IPS would try to deceive me like that, so I double checked with the manager over at FedEx (a different person) who indeed confirmed that the shipping charge has been refunded. After that I call IPS, and the level of rudeness of the person that answered the phone has gone up yet again. ''Teenagers with attitude" was one of the Yelp comments I just saw, so true. I was essentially told that they won't talk to me, and that I should send them an email, all in a really very rude and condescending voice. After sending them an email describing my conversation with FedEx, they changed their story a bit; now they said that FedEx only gave them a partial refund (which is not true, according to FedEx). They offered to refund me only 50% of what I paid for. I guess they tried to keep the whole thing - $420 that I paid them, plus they also wanted to pocket the refund they got from FedEx! So my package was not delivered as promised, I was on the ropes about the claim for 2+ months, then I get lectured and told that the claim has been denied... Wait, what just happened, my package was not delivered when it was supposed to deliver. I paid IPS $420, then FedEx paid them (back) as well, so they just decide to keep all the money. Business must be really bad indeed if they have to resort to things like this! read more

Terrible experience even after few years using their service. Booked "Air Freight Door to Door" service advertised next with DHL service. Supposed to be 7-10 days shipping period, but now after 5 weeks still not delivered. They tried to charge additional fees in additional to normal import customs and tax that we already paid. They even tried to hold my goods as ransom. Will not use this company again. read more

Ross the VP for International Parcel Services is absolutely RUDE!!!!!!! I have been in contact with UPS which is who they used to ship and have been told to file a claim on the shipment for refund of partial payment and she will not allow me to file a claim. I tried sending a 12lbs package with them using DHL its a 2 to 3 day delivery. Their online service was somewhat mis-leading yet I managed to get a shipping label It was paid for and nothing further they needed When I tried to ship it DHL - refused to ship it I tried once more to try to ship at a drop location that took it Once again DHL refused it The drop off location did not call me Telephone number was on the box yet told me they could not find it Therefore between International Parcel Services and DHL it did not get sent no one would explain why Near a month went by. This company canceled a scheduled shipping order that was paid in full in favor of a different shipping method more to their liking and never reimbursed for the order they canceled. Numerous phone calls, emails, and promises later and no refund. Told their accounting department is in the Netherlands! SO who's the crooked one, Florida or the Netherlands? Be forewarned!!!
