So approx. 15 mins instruction and training per dog. Class is 1.5 hrs. My roommate paid for the series of classes.. and unplanned she ended up in the hospital Emergency Room and had to have emergency orthopedic surgery. She texted and left a VM that she wouldn't be attending the classes the night before class started and asked to Be refunded the $275. They told her said NO to a refund.Too bad if you have an emergency. Our class isn't full and we couldn't fill the spot. But we will let you pay another $137.50 to sign up for another series in the future. So they kept the initial $275. And my roomie paid another 137.50 to be able to take said classes once she's all healed up and can walk again. They gave her a credit of 137.50 if she signed up to take the classes again. If she didn't there is no refund!! So that is 412.50 for 5 classes at approx 15min of ins time each week. So that ends up being a hour and 1/2 of instruction for 412.50. Holy Crap!! A huge rip off and absolutely crap business management for Dogs day out. Ok and my roomie has worked in the dog business in W Seattle for over 30 yrs and has referred dozens of dogs to this establishment over this years. She is going to take the classes that she paid 412.50 for so she isn't out the full amount she paid. But what a huge crock of doo doo. A poor business rule and my god she had to have emergency surgery. I know for a fact she will never refer another client to them or ever return to Dogs Day out for any classes herself. If I were her I'd also let my dog clients who she's referred to this biz about this if it comes up in convo. About this practise. Whatever happened to professional courtesy between biz owners in the same dog world. Or compassion when they end up having emergency surgery. I for one am really floored by this experience my roomie is going through!!!

No, we didn't get her to a place of losing her intense prey drive, but we were able to make so much progress over time. Katie is amazing. (There were more problems training some of the other humans in my family to be consistent. That was on us, not on Katie.) That dog (now gone) will always be my heart, and Katie went very much above and beyond for us, over and over. She is amazing, honest, and a delight. Around the house, he was all over the place and hard to manage. After working with Aldin through private sessions and a board and train, Chewy is truly a new dog. He's now calm and well-behaved at home, and walks are actually enjoyable, no more pulling or barking, and he stays focused on us! He's also much less reactive overall. We used to be hesitant to take him out in public, but now he does great. Aldin not only helped Chewy but gave us the tools and confidence we needed to keep things going at home. The pup couldn't go to the dog park (no recall) or be left outside alone (he's a digger). Company was out of the question. He was so reactive to people and noises that we couldn't even open our curtains. And he was not at all food motivated, which made any kind of training a challenge. The three other trainers we worked with had not solved our worsening problems, and we had given up. Taking care of our beloved but reactive pup had become a lifestyle. We were SO thrilled with his progress that we booked our 11 year-old golden Komodo for a 4 session training program with Sami to teach him the same obedience, basic manners, loose-leash, and recall skills. I'm excited to report that Komodo graduated with flying colors yesterday and we also learned so much in the process! Thanks to Sami and K9 Command's balanced training, David and I learned the skills needed to effectively train our dogs and help them live their best lives! Yeti used to bark at everything. People, dogs, animals on tv, and more. His lunging and barking would scare people away, including our extended families. Komodo also started picking up Yeti's bad habits - not listening, leash tugging, and excessive barking. Nothing was working, and we became really limited in where we could go with the dogs and who we could be with. We've seriously done more together in these past few weeks since Yeti and Komodo's training than we have in all of Yeti's life! Now we take the dogs to restaurants and shops, our soccer games, hikes, paddle boarding, family events, and more! Our 6 year-old nephew used to be afraid of Yeti and all dogs in general. Today we brought the dogs to his birthday party, and he kept saying over and over "Yeti's so well trained!" We called to have a conversation but the guy that answered was just very condescending and kept telling us to refer to the website. (The website where we got their contact information from.) Considering that this person is the FIRST point of contact and that they essentially represent the business as a whole, we grew increasingly concerned that this would be our continued experience moving forward so we decided to go with another training group. TL;DR Don't bother calling -- just do everything online and they will probably treat you better. Otherwise, perhaps take your business elsewhere where they don't treat you like an incompetent idiot.

I reached out to Nikki about training for my new puppy. She responded with a standard pitch detailing her credentials and a premium rate of $200/hour, claiming she trains dogs "in a different way" than others. Naturally, before investing that kind of money and inviting someone into my home, I politely asked if she had any short video clips of her training style so I could understand her methodology. Her response was incredibly curt and defensive: "No i dont have social media you are requesting. My training is very personal and not media income for me." I didn't care about social media; I cared about understanding her teaching style. Because finding a trainer is about compatibility and trust, I actually went out of my way to apologize for any misunderstanding and asked if she could point me to any online video of any trainer with a similar style, just so I could get a rough idea of what to expect. Instead of a professional response (like suggesting client references or pointing to her Yelp reviews), she completely shut down the conversation: "I have provided the information I provide to all my clients. It seems we will not be a good fit." Nikki expects clients to blindly commit to a $200/hour rate with zero visual proof or demonstration of her "unique" methodology. When asked basic, polite questions to ensure a good fit, she met me with defensiveness, a complete lack of flexibility, and a curt dismissal. If a trainer is this defensive and difficult to communicate with before you even hire them, imagine how stressful it would be to work with them. There are plenty of highly qualified trainers who welcome questions and treat prospective clients with respect--IMO go to them instead. I've attached our communication as proof.
