Our 2 year-old formerly wild child golden retriever Yeti completed his 3 week board and train with trainer Sami 5 weeks ago. We were SO thrilled with his progress that we booked our 11 year-old golden Komodo for a 4 session training program with Sami to teach him the same obedience, basic manners, loose-leash, and recall skills. I'm excited to report that Komodo graduated with flying colors yesterday and we also learned so much in the process! Thanks to Sami and K9 Command's balanced training, David and I learned the skills needed to effectively train our dogs and help them live their best lives! Yeti used to bark at everything. People, dogs, animals on tv, and more. His lunging and barking would scare people away, including our extended families. Komodo also started picking up Yeti's bad habits - not listening, leash tugging, and excessive barking. Nothing was working, and we became really limited in where we could go with the dogs and who we could be with. We've seriously done more together in these past few weeks since Yeti and Komodo's training than we have in all of Yeti's life! Now we take the dogs to restaurants and shops, our soccer games, hikes, paddle boarding, family events, and more! Our 6 year-old nephew used to be afraid of Yeti and all dogs in general. Today we brought the dogs to his birthday party, and he kept saying over and over "Yeti's so well trained!" He even enjoyed playing fetch with him and petting them both while they calmly sat in a room filled with tons of kids and activity! My review is regarding their customer service (or lack thereof). I reached out via their website contact form, set up a consultation for February 4th. Spoke to a representative for roughly an hour. The person we spoke with was very nice but had never been a dog trainer. He said he had worked at a dog day care, which was a bit odd considering we were calling about training and not daycare. But the issue was mostly that any of the questions I asked, he said he would have to talk to the trainer/owner and get back to me. Well, I never heard back. He said he'd get back to me that following Monday... which would've been 2/7/22... It's been well over a month and I haven't heard anything. Which is pretty disappointing and bad customer service considering I was quoted $7350 for my two dogs. As someone who really values good training and has put my two dogs in 3-4 week training programs before, this is disappointing because communication and alignment with your dog trainer is key. read more

Finally decided to do the 4 weeks training $4100 for my dog. Sent them an email Friday 2/14/2020 it's now 5 days later 2/19/2020 no response. Even if they're busy...I mean let's be real a customer offers to pay $4100 for a service and you can't even send an email follow. Not worth my time or money. I am so grateful for Jevry and K9 Command! I can finally walk my Mini Aussie in public with ease. Before K9 Command's Walk Doctor, my dog would be all over the place during walks. She was reactive to dogs passing by, even dogs across the street, and she would want to jump on every person to say hi. The constant barking and pulling was an issue to the point that I did my best to avoid as many distractions as possible during walks. I tried a lot of things to help make walking bearable, like using a front clip harness, avoiding people and their dogs, blocking her view, distracting her with treats or a toy... it just did not work. However, in just two short sessions of the Walk Doctor with Jevry, my Aussie transformed. She can finally walk next to me without reacting to what's about to pass by and she's less anxious overall - and I'm less anxious. We were having a lot of problems with our year old husky puppy Moose before we sent him to K9 Command for a three week period. He was jumping on house guests, scared and distracted on walks and was struggling with listening to us. When we got him back, he still had his adorable and curious personality, but he now understood our expectations of his behavior. I had gotten to the edge of where I could take my dog's training. For years. Walking him was a struggle. He pulled (75lb of pure muscle) constantly. He also reacted to every dog, car, squirrel, leaf, etc. on the walk. I was frustrated and exhausted by the end of each walk. So, we didn't walk much. After Raylynn took my emotional pup (he pouted for a week or so, normal for him) for a month, she taught my boy that he doesn't have to be crazy on walks. She also taught me how to take the lead and help him know what I want. Walks (and even *gasp* jogs) are not only possible, but fun for both of us! Thanks so much for your help with my boy! read more

My husband and I hired Jevry to help us with our 50 lb male dog Leto. He is a very nervous dog and expresses it through aggression. He is dog and human aggressive. He hasn't bitten any humans but has tried and has a history of dog fighting. The first session was great. My dog responded well and the use of the prong collar seemed easy and humane. We did our homework every day 10 minutes a day, plus a walk. We also transferred what we learned to our female dog with no issue. The second session however, Jevry basically choked my dog out with a prong collar for about five minutes. She tried to get him to lay down and when he didn't she tightened the pronge collar by removing two links and then used her foot as a leverage point so that she could create a doward force with his leash and collar. When he yelped, pooped himself and tried to bite her boot out of pain she had me muzzle him. Jevry then proceeded to try and force him to lay down without any verbal command given. He fought her hard but finally gave into laying down. After she left our home our dog had a partially prolapsed eye, a cut on his right, rear paw, a bloody tounge and a limp. He can't sit down due to pain and is so confused about what we want from him. He has been set back almost three weeks in terms of aggression toward strangers and trust in our leadership. This experience was not what I expected. I did not expect a professional dog trainer to do what she did. It was aweful to watch and probably even more aweful to be the one with the collar on. I don't even know how I feel about the prong collar anymore either. At first it seemed like such an amazing tool but now I'm afraid to use it with my dog for fear of him being too scared to enjoy walking or respond to training. During session one it worked and helped me communicate with my dog but then I saw what it was capable of when used the way I saw Jevry use it. Do your research about prong collars and decide for yourself but for us this particular use (tightening and holding the collar for long periods of time) was over the top aggressive and doesn't work for us. We have asked for a refund of the sessions that Jevry has not booked out for us yet. We are hoping she does the right thing and helps us pay to hire a different trainer and a possible vet visit to address our dogs eye. Response to Jevry: I understand you had to use a muzzle to prevent him from biting you. I have no problem muzzling my dogs if needed. However, he did not start biting until the constant downward force was applied to his neck. It went from being asked to lay down to him being pulled to the ground with no warning. I feel like he also received no reset after being muzzled and having two links taken out of his collar which reduced his collar from a 3/4 (which is the length that you recommended for him) to 2/3. When we did the sits he tried to bite multiple time and he was corrected with the compressed air and not by holding. You also told me on Sunday that at first you start with a hold if the dog does not comply with a given "down" command so that the dog learns the consequence and to make a hand pop easier. As for the injuries he sustained, you told us that eye injuries like the one Leto has is normal. Are you telling me that you normally use muzzle clips that hit dogs in the eye hard enough to prolapse an eyeball? Is it normal for the dogs you train to have prolapsed eyes after a session of training? At no point did I ever want to cause physical pain or injury to my dog. His eye is partially prolapsed and he is in obvious pain. I simply want my dog to live a happy, healthy and anxiety free life. As for the type of training we will seek out, it will be based in the latest dog behavioral science and whatever comes with that. We would like to proceed with seeking another trainer and a refund. read more

Ok so I can only speak on my experience which isn't much I contacted them thru their website setting up a call on a specific date and time and they confirmed it with me a day or two in advance. Great the day comes no call I text them back they apologize and set up another time and the day comes no call. I assumed they would call me I guess I was wrong. Had a troubled 3 year old pitbull mix who didn't want to walk nicely on the leash. Twenty minutes and a prong collar dance later, no issues walking nicely! Was able to transfer this training over to my younger one and what a simple, effective technique it is! Jevry is professional and seems to be a dog whisperer. Jevry is amazing. My daughter adopted a dog that was abused. A pit bull. I was terrified of this dog and it needed some serious training. I was afraid the dog was too far gone and that no one would be able to train her or be willing to. After a month with Jevry this is a much improved dog. My daughter is coming home over Christmas break and I'm looking forward to meeting the dog that wouldn't even let me approach her without looking like she would hurt me if she got loose. I would give them 0 stars if I could. Awful training, victimizing the dogs shes supposed to be training and makes the owners feel awful. No compassion, and the worst part, they used shock and prong collars on my dog at the same time as a "training" teqnique. She lied to me and said my dog was calm. I later found out how disgusting and abusive this lie was. She will lie and tell you your dog is calm when in reality the dog is terrified and is experiencing learned helplessness. My dog Crumbles, a 1.5 year old Pomeranian, worked with Joshua during a 3 week board and train. Before sending him here I had worked with a positive reinforcement trainer only and was using counter-conditioning with treats to help his reactivity with dogs, some people, and runners (on and off leash). He also struggled with demand barking, needing to be included in everything I did (I couldn't even hug my partner without Crumbles getting aggravated!), and barking non-stop in the car and after I left. I'm so glad I looked into other training modalities, and feel as if K9 command works to see what training method works best for the individual dog. I feel like I have my life back and Crumbles is learning how to entertain himself/feel secure being alone. They helped me realize he was being dominant by default, and now there are clear boundaries in my relationship with my dog. Sending him here taught me that many dogs need structure and firm leadership to succeed and feel safe. Having him at the K9 Command house allowed him to receive the socialization he never got, but in a highly structured environment. They taught me how to use an e collar and prong collar properly too, and when they came for the in-home drop off lesson, I felt a lot less nervous about using those tools. I now get to take him to busy parks, don't have to worry about him barking randomly at my roommates, and can have conversations with friends on the street while walking him. Best investment I've made. Jevry did an awesome job with my pup. She took extra time and went a above and beyond really helping out my dog in areas she struggled. This program was life changing for us and our dog Poncho, who struggled with anxiety and fear-based aggression. I cannot recommend Jevry and Joshua at K9 Command enough! We have a very anxious German Shepherd mix who was reactive to all dogs and cats when on leash. She would also attack the fence and windows at our house whenever she thought another dog was outside. After trying positive reinforcement training only for the first 2 years of her life with little, if any difference, we finally got fed up and did research on other options. K9 Command is who we ended up deciding to work with and the results have been amazing! We now can walk past other dogs on the sidewalk with no reaction (used to have to cross the street), she doesn't bark at dogs walking by outside the house and she is calmer in general. We used to think she had this insane amount of energy, but I believe that was her anxiety. At training they teach the dogs to walk appropriately on lead and while this was never a huge issue for us, it is so nice to have your dog walk calmly next to you and sit when you stop. She doesn't even try to chase squirrels anymore! Also, they teach the dogs the "place" command which has been a lifesaver. Our friends come over and she always used to run up and jump on them. Now we have her in "place" when people come over and she stays there until we release her. It is amazing and our guests really appreciate it! Our friends and neighbors comment on how incredible the transformation is. She really seems like a happier dog now, and we love being able to take her places with us without worrying that she will bark and lunge at other dogs! read more

I can not express enough gratitude for Jevry and all of the information and training skills she has shared with me and my Bruno! Bruno spent 2 weeks at board and train with Jevry and I was very nervous about sending him away. I was skeptical about the training process and of course the cost! But it has been worth every dollar! Before training I couldn't bring Bruno for walks or take him in the car because he would pull me in every direction (he is 80+ lbs) and would show aggression towards dogs people even kids and at home he thought he was the boss and wouldn't listen to anything. He's a big sweetheart with me but it got to the point where I couldn't bring him anywhere..
