I called one of the owners (when they were in S Tahoe? Markleeville?) a couple of years ago. I am an average local, and I was looking for a house around $200k. I called at least 2 or 3 times, but they couldn't be bothered to return my call. Recently, while I was out on a bike ride, they nearly drove me off the road as they passed me in their Hummer. If you're a millionaire out-of-towner who wants to be driven around in a selfish, pretentious Hummer, you might give these guys 5 stars. read more

I would never go with Intero Again. Maybe the other agents are good, but ours Mick was not at all. He begged for our properties and did nothing. Our sign was down in the yard for months and we have over a million dollar home. He was very condescending and made rude comments. I asked him when he brought the Realtors through, I said, hey one of you sell our houses we are excited to move. He said, ohh if it sells? Who says that?? Or pictures of our house were not professional looking. Our houses were in magazines with only the back of both properties showing and not the front of the house. Weird. Our other house for sale had Zero pictures of the cute front of it. Mick came out and put sign back up and see the picture below, while all other houses for sale on my street by other agents were upright, even in 80 mph winds. Intero office came out (only per my request), to see my house. I never even knew the owner/manager Teddy was even with them. They bounced around my house like a bunch of kids on recess. Not respectable to my home at all. I live here, not them. They might see a lot of houses, but this is MY home. Mick said later that our houses were overpriced, but not once did he give us that opinion at all. You are the Realtor, not us. Cannot wait to hire a more professional person. Our house has now shown 6 times since we let him go. Yay. The last email we received from Mick was very unprofessional. We are so easy to work with. We just wanted an upright sign. Sorry we listed our house with this company. The agent was less than enthusiastic about our listing. She listed the house on the internet and that was about all she did. The listing ad had spelling errors and didn't fully describe the property. We finally took the house off the market in order to let the listing contract expire. I would not recommend listing your house with Intero if you own property in California as they will not aggressively market you property at the level they do with Nevada properties. read more

We recently purchased a house and went through Intero. We had a very pleasurable experience working with Dennis. He was always very patient with us as we looked for months to find a house we liked. He was readily available on a short notice to show us a house, or if he couldn't make it personally he would arrange a way for us to take a look at the property. Once we found our home, which was only on the market for 24 hours, we knew we had to jump on it to lock it down. He was able to negotiate and get the price we were looking for and get the sale in escrow as fast as we could. He went above and beyond helping us, and even once we closed he bought us a second garage door opener just to help us out. Anyone looking at Intero for property management, I would run...not walk... for the hills! I'll try to make this brief. A few years ago my family & I didn't have much time to move, and our options were limited. A roof was more important than the quality of the home, so we moved into the eyesore of the ranchos. The place was in horrible condition, but I didn't complain. It was dirty, threads in the carpet and holes in various places(hadn't been replaced in 20 years probably), burn marks in the linoleum of the kitchen, holes in walls, bad paint job, the front yard was especially ugly with rock landscaping and a tree stump, which wasn't even done correctly(rocks right on top of the dirt, so weeds and grass found patches to grow). We of course documented the damage. As far as tenacy, we kept the place clean and organized(Didn't fix up the dump, we were renting after all, so it remained ugly), we paid our rent on time, honored the whole lease through, During the course of the year, nothing that needed repair was fixed because the owner placed the house for sale. Mick Cavnar was who managed the property, and he was arrogant and rude through and through. His comments over time included, "Oh, I don't make hardly any money on rentals. The owner is selling so she doesn't want to fix anything. You saw what you were getting into." Okay, whatever. I get it. Intero is in the business of selling houses to millionaires and couldn't care less about my family and I, much less rentals. They do them occasionally for God only knows why. The house eventually sold, and more problems arose after a professional inspected it.There were electrical and plumbing issues, mold and water damage. You name the issue, the house has it. My personal favorite was the heating ducts were disconnected and damaged, therefore my house was always freezing and my gas bill was super high in the winter. The guy that fixed that said the air filters hadn't been changed in probably 10 years as well. Bottom line, the home shouldn't have been rented in this condition whether the owner wanted to fix things or not. Intero should assume responsibility for renting it in definite unhealthy conditions. The issue they had with us was the weeds that would grow out front. Oooooh. Weeds. Outside of the hazmat situation there were weeds, and Intero found the time to send us notices about taking caring of them. I assume responsibility for living in a crappy rental, but once all was said and done, we want to and have been wanting to move. I'm not sure if it is Mick or Intero, but whoever it is has the audacity to claim we are responsible for the condition the house is in and have upkept it "poorly" when home owners screen our rental history with them. REALLY!? It is obvious this outfit only cares about the bottom dollar. Rentals don't provide that, so be prepared to be treated like scum. I wouldn't buy a house from them either if my life depended on it. read more

Frankly I dealt with one of the owners ...unprofessional, non-communicative..seemed she was a better rep for the buyer after I hired her to reperesent me the owner. She would change recommendations based on pressure from buyer and their agent. Overall very frustrating experience.
