Professional, thorough, honest, knowledgeable! Words to describe the tech who serviced us and this is how I see the company now because of him. KIANOOSH was the tech who serviced our home. He was so professional and polite. Very thorough! Very knowledge---walked me through everything and explained everything is such easy-to-understand detail. He made me feel encouraged that this company is honest and employs honest people. I initially was looking to get a dryer vent cleaning, a unit cleaning, and an antimicrobial fogging. He did a full inspection of all the things I was looking to have done and was honest about the services that I didn't need so I wouldn't be spending money unnecessarily (although he offered to still do them if I still desired them). He showed me how to clean my dryer vent out for the future---with the way our stuff is set up, it's very easy for us to do. He showed me video of all the vents and informed/showed me a vent that needed to be repaired and he then laid out my options for me to decide what I wanted done. He then looked to see if he could crawl under the house to reach and repair the vent. He gave me lots of great tips for creating more efficiency in our home and how to keep our air in good quality as well. Kianoosh carefully and attentively listened to everything I told him and all the various problems I mentioned with our system and air flow to various parts of the house, and he really took care to address and attempt to fix each one, and if it wasn't something that could be fixed same day (i.e. large repairs and installations), he made sure to inform me of all the options---he showed such care and impeccable active listening skills! He also asked to borrow some water from the tap for one of the machines and some water spilled on the floor and he offered to use the shop car to clean up the water. He was so respectfully of our home and being in our home. Truly Kianoosh was an incredible representative of Interstate Heating & Conditioning company. Interstate put in our HVAC unit in 2012 and have continued to use them and also referred a relative to them. Yesterday, however, made me feel good about humanity again. We had a leak from the drain hose and Brandon came and took care of everything!! He resloped the unit, shop vac'd up the wet insulation, carried the shop vac down from the attic, dumped it in the trash, carried the fan up there and plugged it in and also got a contractor out here to fix the ceiling drywall as soon as possible! I thought I would have to fight the company on fixing the ceiling but...nope!! How many people do you know that would go beyond the call of duty? The company is very lucky to have such a conscientious former military guy working for them!! Brandon...job well done!! read more

These guys are a class act. My AC went out last night, so in the morning I called Interstate and they had someone out within an hour. Technician Jason was friendly, courteous, and professional. He solved my problem (bad capacitor) quickly and explained my options for repair. It was a great experience all around. I will definitely be using them again. read more

I was sold a 16 seer unit as a replacement. It failed the inspection due to improperly sized supply lines and turns out it is not a 16 seer. Just the condenser is a 16 seer and I couldn't find a rating on the air handler. Jake the salesman is a liar and has continued to lie to me throughout the process. Telling me so many lies ive lost count. he said you have to pair it with a 21 inch unit to make a 16 seer and that won't fit in the closet. that the gas lines would have to be moved. just so many lies. you will regret business with these people read more

In 20 degree weather and with a disabled daughter with pneumonia, our heater quit working on Monday night. I called a 24/7 scam company and they charged $99 to tell us that the part could be ordered and installed on Friday or we could get our unit replaced the following day. On Tuesday I called Sam's Club, who sent my information over to Interstate and I worked with Kai and Jennifer and told them about the part that the first company said needed to be replaced. They tried to next day ship it, but missed the deadline by 4 minutes. On Thursday they still didn't have the part. My husband called his contacts and someone came on Friday morning to fix the heater and he took off with a necessary part. He, too, realized he would have to order the malfunctioning part and he wouldn't receive it until the following week. Thankfully Interstate called shortly afterward and stated that they finally received the part and someone would be here in 30 minutes to install it. When Isaac arrived, the very polite technician, he informed me that one of the parts was missing. The technician who had come earlier in the morning had left with it. Isaac waited at my home while I met the other technician and picked up the part and he was able to get our heater working again. After 1 night in a hotel room and 3 sleepless nights in a recliner in my daughter's room to keep her safe from the space heater, we finally have heat and at hundreds less than the first company quoted. The first tech said my heater needed a new circuit board which was $800. Which I agreed to. Two weeks later the heater went out again. This time it needed a second circuit board at the same price. I went ahead and just ordered a new heater at that point. The problem is I wasn't given any refund, discount, or anything for the initial $800. Do they just throw the brand new (undamaged) circuit board in a landfill? I doubt it. I'd have gladly paid any reshelving fee, shipping fee, service fee, whatever. But that wasn't an option. I really feel like the tech should have diagnosed the problem correctly the first time and I shouldn't be punished for it. $800 is quite the burn. read more

I've been a customer with this company for well over 9 years, and this relationship will be coming to an end. When the "Silver Club" service was sold to us, we were guaranteed a fair price and honest business practices, and what we have received has been far from that. Each time their representatives came to my house for the semi-annual service, they always try to find ways to charge me extra. In these times of high inflation, and being a retired, permanently disabled Veteran, these business practices are despicably dishonest and prey on the elderly and unknowing. My wife and I were subscribed to the "Silver Maintenance" service at $14.95 per month. This service provides two check-ups (Fall and Spring) for our Air Conditioner and Furnace. In November 2014 we were told that the run capacitor was defective and had to be replaced. We were charged $252 for the part plus an $89 "diagnostic fee" for a total of $341. In April, 2015 during our Spring check-up we were told we needed to replace the Compressor Fan and Capacitor. This was one year into the 10-year manufacturer warranty. We were told they couldn't somehow work with the warranty, so we paid you $536+ for the capacitor and Fan motor. When we contacted the manufacturer, we were advised that the motor would have cost us $56 and that they were doubtful that the capacitor would have been bad, as they tend to last 15-20 years. So we ate that cost as a lessoned learned. Between that time and now, we had also paid for two surge protectors, and another capacitor (that was the third one since we purchased the home new in 2013). Last year, our "freon" needed to be recharged by 2 pounds at a cost of $130. Recently. we had an appointment for May 11th that we had set with them in March. We received a call from them on the 11th asking us to reschedule because you were "busy". Their service person arrived on Monday, May 16th. He went out to the unit and returned and showed me the run capacitor (they had previously charged me for and replaced on April 2015 and twice before that) said that the capacitor was no good and had to be "condemned" because it was rated at 7.5 and would only show as 6.4. I asked him how much it would cost, and he said $257. I held it in my hand, and said "this part costs $257?" He said yes. This is not the first house I ever owned, nor the only run capacitor I have had to replace (this would be the 4th in this house alone over a period of 9 years). I told him to just keep that part installed. He came back later and said that my freon was low, at the time, there was no way to confirm this, so I allowed him to add freon. He said I was down one pound, and I was changed $143.65 Replacing a run capacitor is simple, there are two wire connections and you pull it out of the holder. I asked how we could be losing so much freon; I asked "is there a leak?" He said no, it was common to lose some pressure when they check the pressure. I told him that according to my records, they put two pounds in it last year. He stared at me like I didn't know what I was talking about. After he left. I took out the "old" Run Capacitor and took it to Locke Supply and purchased a brand new one for $14.11. Total time for me to replace it was one minute, twenty seconds. This company was trying to charge me $242.89 for a $14.11 part - that's a 1792.27% mark-up. 410A Freon costs $545 for a 25 pound tank, so each pound is $21.80, and I was charged $143.65 which is a 572.71% mark-up. My intent is to report this company to the Better Business Bureau, the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board, the Oklahoma State Attorney's Office, the Cleveland County District Attorney, as well as provide reviews on Yelp, Google, and Facebook. You may consider our business relationship concluded. Please, don't be a sucker, do not use this company. read more

Got me in early next day, lady on the phone was super friendly and helpful. Adam, my technician, was right on time and I got a call half an hour beforehand to let me know as they said they would. This company is so honest, kind and helpful. We had them come out 2 years ago because we had our AC unit acting up, they could over charge us and do all the stuff to our unit but they found nothing wrong with it and the unit started working right after they left. Now 2 years later our unit is acting up again and they do all the checks and this time they find a leak and other problems so we go ahead and get a new ac unit and furnace which is over 23 years old. Issac came out and gave us all our options right up front and didnt try to add stuff we didnt need or just show the most expensive stuff. Mario and Jeremiah were are installers and they are the sweetest and nicest guys and they do such great work. I also like how all the guys come out and help each other when problems arise. They talk and act very professional while in your house. We asked to get a new plenum but after they went up and looked at the old one they said there is nothing wrong with it and it will work perfectly fine still. They could have said no you will need a new one but like I said they are very honest and forth coming to you. I can go on and on about them but I highly recommend them for AC and furnace units. read more

Wow. These guys sent out a kid who couldn't be more than 21 or 22. He showed up quickly - I will give him that. He gives us a long list of things that need to be repaired, charged us $89 for a diagnostic evaluation. He states: it will cost you around a few thousand dollars for repair or 8-10 thousand dollars to just replace the whole air conditioner. That might take 2-3 days, but he suggested that replacing the whole thing would be our best option. I thought that was a little high. So, we got a second opinion. Second opinion = $204 to replace a fuse. 2 hours later = in our house and AC working fine. These guys are scam artists at their worst and you should stay away. They, for all intensive purposes, stole $89 of our money to figure this out. We think we deserve an apology and our $89 back. The company needs to hire trained employees, who know what they are doing. Two trips later & he couldn't solve the problem yet--he added Freon, but did not find the leak. This company installed the system about 12 months & 2 weeks ago and the warranty ended 2 weeks ago. The Freon leak is covered till January 2014. We paid almost $11,000 for our new system, which is a lot of money--should have used another company. The repair person was nice, but I hope another person tries next time. I updated this because the owner fixed my heating/air system after the warranty was over. We told him that it was never fixed under warranty & he said he was very sorry about all the problems. I would give him 6 stars if I could because he wanted to ensure my equipment was working. Great Business!!!!!!! read more

These folks are all about customer service. We've been a customer for several years and subscribe to their maintenance plan. When my wife was diagnosed with cancer I was all set to cancel the maintenance plan so we could pay hospital bills. The owners did something exceptionally nice and gave us a year of maintenance for free. Not many companies will go that extra mile to help someone in need. Our maintenance technician was top notch and showed me where each issue was and how much it would cost to repair. There may be negative reviews but don't trust them. Interstate is a good business looking out for customer needs without trying to upsell new AC units every few years. I will be a customer for as long as they will have me. read more

The service was timely. We called on Monday, and we were scheduled for service on the following Tuesday. Alan was professional and courteous. He explained to us our options and then addressed the concerns based on the decisions we made, he also answered any questions we had. Alan was friendly and personable. I have been a club member for several years which means paying a monthly fee. Each time they come out for spring and fall check ups they find something wrong. This falls check-up report was not mine. I don't know who the guy was talking about but it wasn't me. Called the female workers who tried to blow me off. Insisted on talking to the boss. He got furious because I called his guy a liar for saying my own son would check the furnace out. I really apologized about my garage light being burnt out. The Tech said he would replace it and I said my son would replace the bulb. On my Interstate report the Tech stated that I called my son to come check the furnace and water heater out. Many other lies or fabrications if one prefers that word were on the report. The tech did not spend much time as usual inspecting my system. No more than 30 minutes and usually it takes about an hour. So the boss fired me he was so mad. I have lots of health problems and don't need these unprofessional people in my life. Oklahoma laws are too lax on builders,contractors and companies. We need to get some people to make laws governing these people. I really thought the boss Kia was going to have a stroke. Also I did not get my usual checklist of what tasks had been performed on which systems. read more

Back in April we needed to replace an old heating and air conditioning unit in our condo in Norman OK. There were some challenges getting everything in and working properly. All of the employees who came out were friendly, professional and committed to their philosophy of "making it right". We feel they are an honest company with reasonable prices. The technician came in and changed the capacitor in the blower unit. He charged $108 for the capacitor (on top of the $82 labor, which I have no problem with) which sells for $12 in the Internet. Is there a better word than "rip off", or is this the industry standard to charge 9 times the retail price for parts. read more
