Re: A brand new Paragon Physical Therapy Clinic on Abrahms Rd, a place of healing with heart…read more For people who have had orthopedic surgeries or present with orthopedic problems. Scott Booth, DPT, this clinics' Physical Therapist/owner, is a highly energetic, knowledgeable and experienced provider who practices traditional and manual physical therapy and presents with an array of effective intervention strategies. Scott is the best doctor of physical therapy that I have had, over eight orthopedic surgeries in 30 years. Scott owns Paragon Care, a home health company and I met him when he managed my in-home, post-operative care last year. Scott has helped me following two knee replacements, a cervical disc (neck) surgery, and a shoulder replacement. Additionally, I had a six disc back fusion five years ago, and he is currently treating me to reduce referred pain, which has returnedover time. Scott typically used trigger-point manipulation , cupping, electrical stimulation, massage and exercise during our sessions. No time is wasted, he is prepared, efficient, quite personable and VERY kind. Scott is the real deal and accepts many kinds of insurance. Hope you are lucky enough to get to work with him! He has made such a positive difference in my life many times.

COVID ALERT I was…read morereferred to Injury One and/or Behavioral Health - the names are important because they will bill you under both names. In an attempt to recover from a car accident, I would come several days a week and they had me play on a computer (which I could have done at home). During lunch, we would get a sandwich and sit together for "group therapy." This session was simply an opportunity to chit chat with the 2-3 other patients while a 'counselor' threw in his/her opinion. Pandemic hit and anyone with 1/2 a brain knew to wear masks, sanitize, etc. The caregivers (Ha!) didn't use any protective measures AT ALL, but we had a half empty bottle of sanitizer on a table. I never saw a soul wipe down the exercise equipment where 2-3 ppl would remove their masks and expel germs everywhere. Most of our time was spent sitting & waiting. This free time allowed the patients to get to know each other. Even the patients with traumatic brain injuries knew to wear a mask. Just having had surgery, my doc said to be super careful because this virus had the potential to kill me. Knowing this, I began researching covid nonstop in case I needed to save my daughter or husband's lives. It kept my brain busy & helped my progress. On a Monday, I came in and saw my new buddy "John" who looked like Patrick Dempsey in Outbreak. Sweaty, red faced, heavy breathing and a runny nose with an intermittent cough. I asked the owner who is a doctor to please please please ask "John" to go home or put on a mask. I asked "John" why he wasn't wearing his mask like usual. His answer, "I can't breathe." This comment & his appearance didn't seem to bother Dr. Phil & his cohorts- $ over lives. "John" sat across the table from me for over an hr and I was assured that we were distant enough and I need not worry about getting a "cold" and that he can't ask ppl to mask without a mandate (not true at all in private business esp in healthcare). Mandates were put in place 4 days later. I came home, told the family I had a really bad feeling about this and that I'd feel better not going while anyone was ill. Wednesday- I woke up with an epic migraine, horribly sore throat, chills, my entire body hurt and I couldn't breathe. Confirmed Covid. I let the clinic know so they could protect the other patients and 1 patient (a week later) called me to see why I wasn't there. THEY NEVER TOLD ANYONE I WAS INFECTED!!! Since this place was the only place I went and my husband and daughter stayed home, then it was no question where I got it. My body & heart & lungs & skin will never ever be the same and almost 2 yrs later I am still paying for specialists today. Upwards of $50k and my bills are being sent to collections while these people charged a hefty amount for nothing (using 2 diff businesses' names) No one even called to see if I was ok and "John" never returned. Gets better- Months later and with a mask mandate in place I thought I had to go back because it was a legal case (my cognition was still very weak) AND NOBODY HAD MASKS ON. I cried so hard and told the owner & team of 2 that I can't believe they would be so reckless & put ppl in danger. An employee lost a family member to covid & they still didn't do anything. I left hyperventilating & sobbing and never returned. Inadvertently, I gave it to my daughter and we will be paying the price forever. They should have refunded all monies they billed for and sent me a gift card to cover all expenses for medications & treatment. BEWARE. I only wish someone would have warned me.

All the other physical therapists, Alyssa, Corey and Johnny are equally gifted and develop great rapport and a high degree of success with their patients/clients. Being warmly welcomed at the front door by Satonia, the receptionist and everything-doer, starts my sessions off to a great start each time. The attentive techs support the physical therapists in their quest to get me rehabbed back to baseline and beyond. I have rehabbed 4 body parts over 2+ years at Vista White Rock and have observed many patients come, go and come back to rehab another body part also! I love the mix of ages and fitness levels present at any given time at the clinic from teenage athletes to middle age weekend warriors to the elderly, grateful to regain mobility and increase strength. The surroundings are bright, open and friendly. Small, as well as the large, victories are celebrated by everyone. After previous poor experiences at four other PT clinics for various rehab needs, I took advantage of Vista's 30 minute free consultation to interview them prior to a major foot surgery. I was extremely impressed and started PT soon after my surgery. I was even more impressed with their techniques, challenges, creativity, the way they listen, and, of course, the outcome! If you're on the fence about choosing the right place to rehab your injury, I highly recommend coming in for a quick chat and tour. I'd be surprised if you didn't think, "when can I start?" I cannot say enough good things about this place!
