I came specifically to see Summer K. and have a mini facial with dermaplaning. First of all, she's the sweetest person. We had a little scheduling discrepancy but they were all so very quick to remedy the situation and make things run smoothly. I had been looking forward to this for some time. She started with hydrating my skin. I felt the steam and skin felt dewy and soft. She then provided an excellent facial massage and was able to actually help relieve a little bit of pressure I kept in my jaw from stress (work is cray). I tried another place but the sugar wax wasn't the wax I'm used to and was a little rough. When I was referred to her I went in with an open mind. And now I'm hooked! I finally found someone who has the same beliefs in skin care, vibes and integrity in products. She loves holistic and organic products nothing but the best for her clients and she's such a good person! An absolute scam. Hurts to get waxed by her (how does this hurt more than hard wax smh - much better, honest, wax establishment recommendation towards the end) and MARTINA IS A LIAR. Booked through Groupon and was going to continue to book through Groupon to save money, until she asked to pay her directly when at the first appointment and she will honor the Groupon price. Tried to help her keep a few extra coins in her pocket, you know support small businesses, and avoid Groupon fees but I should've booked through Groupon because then maybe my money wouldn't have been stolen. I was unable to make it to my next appointment and communicated that day and she charged me full price and extra fees (which was 3 times the agreed on price, totaling $94, she charged my saved card - which you have to save to use her appointment system - then notified me after she charged me) when I was unable to make it. This is after she told me there were policy changes that started the day after my appointment (which shouldn't apply to me right) which was only scheduled at that time because we had to reschedule from weeks before because she got COVID. The policy was never supposed to apply to me. Then she offered to reschedule, but when I responded she told me I was blocked from all future appointments and she canceled the two I already had scheduled with her. *This woman makes up policies and applies them as she sees fit.* I contacted my bank to dispute it and she submits all this false information (the automatic email receipt when she charged your card which is done without me signing anything, and an email from her saying I'm retaliating, etc.) saying I authorized and agreed to this charge (you saved my card information and charged me while I was not present), when we had a verbal agreement to charge the Groupon price, and also told my bank this is retaliation because I was banned. You charged me based on policies you made up the literal next day after the appointment then changed your mind multiple times throughout the situation. Then you texted me a novel at 10:55pm demanding answers to your questions of this being a retaliatory offense. You literally stole money from me and I just wanted it back. I missed the 10 day time window to submit response claim because I have been away from home out of state and from my mail (which I was just able to get recently as I have also been dealing with my health, in and out of the hospital since this happened, not due to COVID), with my immunocompromised mother here in NV, so I had to lose $94 because you decided to take your frustration out on me I guess. I get that your time should be respected, but things happen, Martina. I was able to reschedule because of your shortcomings, it's a shame you weren't able to return the favor. It wouldn't kill you to show a little grace for the next person. I don't have to wish bad on you, I'm sure you're very familiar with karma the way you went back on your word. My fault for trusting your word, but I don't regret it. You know what you did was wrong and unfair, but people that steal usually need it more than me so I'm glad I was able to put food on the table for your family. I go to a sane, reputable wax company now. Humble Bee provided a much better experience and clear communication. They don't charge you full price if you had a human mistake or had to deal with an emergency close to your appointment like I did. They also don't hurt to get waxed by. I'm so glad I've been going to them because otherwise I wouldn't know that sugar waxing doesn't hurt as much as when she does it (I've been getting waxed with hard and soft wax for 3 years and have a high pain tolerance btw). They are also very friendly. If I could give Martina 0 stars, I would. I rarely write reviews, but some people just need attention so here it is. Hopefully, you don't get gypped by this thief. Edit in response to thief on 5/25/2022: SEE PICTURES! Oh and one more thing, my bank denied it because they didn't have sufficient information because their initial dispute process doesn't allow for screenshots and full blown letters (it asks for a paragraph in limited characters) and because I wasn't home/in the state to receive the mail with the bank's decision and dispute it within 10 days. You also submitted statements that you could edit because you write your receipts. I am simply trying to prevent what happened to me from happening to someone else who is trying to support small businesses. Last edit 6/7: The "respectable" business owner has had my 2 photos detailing my response taken down. Just want to point out one more time how she has refused to acknowledge her lie (and continued lies because how could I get 3 Brazilians from Nov-December, I went to you once). It's hard to find a place that makes men feel comfortable in a spa setting, but this is the place.
