I came for a reading and a healing and whoever was in charge basically insinuated that I had no right to be there because I was poor. I didn't have a car and would have had to walk home but another woman who was reading there offered me a ride home. The director didn't like that and basically claimed that I was a burden and that I was literally not "allowed" to take classes, get healings, or go there ever again. That sounds like a moneymaking scheme to me if they're going to cop that attitude. Spiritual organizations are supposed to teach spiritual things and their idea that a person has to have a certain amount of money to qualify to do spiritual work is definitely not in line with what many religions teach. Plus, spirituality is supposed to be a haven from the brutality of the world, not reinforcing of it via the ugly ways that humans mistreat the poor. How utterly disappointing! read more

It's one of my resolutions to be more OM, so when a very hip and zen hypnotherapist acquaintance of mine recommended Intuitive Way, my interest was piqued. The above mentioned hip and zen hypnotherapist told me that to release the negative energy in my body after a traumatic injury, I should check out this center, as they could do a cleansing. I'm always interested in learning about new methods that could heal my injury, so when I checked out the Intuitive Way website and saw that their Intuitive Reading & Healing Festival was taking place that very weekend, I knew that was the day to go. I roped my friend into tagging along with me for moral support, and we headed up the hill to the center, which is located up Camino Diablo, parallel to Highway 24 in a nondescript looking beige business complex. Upon entering, there is a waiting room with a desk, several chairs, and a couch. Farther in, there is a hallway with several large, medium, and small rooms where you receive your treatments. Pretty much just like a doctor's office, but with a more communal feel. Since this was a festival, there were *a lot* of people there, either in the waiting room, receiving treatments, or chatting with the husband and wife owners and treatment specialists. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and seemed to know that we were newcomers : ) They helped us select our treatments by explaining them to us, which I really appreciated. The Aura reading/cleansing I received was amazing! I was led to a woman with a little white dog who was seated in a medium-sized room with other healers and clients, and she read my aura over the course of 15-20 minutes. I had never had my aura read, but it was quite an intuitive reading! For my Intuitive Touch Healing, I was led to a private room with a healer who had me lay face up on a physical therapy style table, and all the while I relaxed, she walked around me hovering (not touching) her hands above the pain points that I had told her about at the beginning of my session. When I walked out of that second healing, I felt soooo centered! My friend immediately noticed how chill I was when he returned from his Tarot reading, which he seemed to have enjoyed. Definitely give those treatments a try! The only reason that I docked a star, was when I returned two months later for their free Saturday morning Spiritual Healing Clinic, it was a different experience. I had been so impressed with my afternoon at the festival, that I anticipated that it would be another centering moment. That morning, there were a few women in attendance in the large inner room, awaiting their readings, but the energy of the healer seemed off. And her reading was also way off! I've gone here on and off for about a year now to the feel healings and readings. I've also taken the beginner meditation classes, which were divine and included a free hour and a half long aura reading during the month that you're enrolled in the class. Every other month they also have an intuitive reading and healing festival on Saturday afternoons where you have the option to pick 3 readings or healings for $25, which is great cause you can get some variety. Arguably, my favorite I think has been the intuitive touch healings, which they have during the Saturday festivals but also once an additional Saturday and Monday a month for $10. Every time I've had one I've left feeling blissed out, relaxed and all "tingly". Of course, they have plenty of free walk in healings and workshops as well. Like their "how to read an aura" free workshop and the every other week Women's Healing Night drop-ins, which are also great. As a psychotherapist that's often busy dealing with other people's "stuff", it's been a really great place to go to for some much-needed self-care and to recharge. read more

Last Saturday I went to the Intuitive way 'Intuitive Reading and Healing Festival". It was a pleasure as I had my first "Out of the body" healing,and it was not me who was out of the body.. but was great, felt fantastic, I also did a couple more readings and then had a Tarot reading that was perfect. This lady was like reading my life story and no it wasn't things that were real general, she was right on and gave me some direction and inspiration that I felt I needed at that time. In January, 2012 I was unlucky enough to meet the woman from this organization in the parking lot and know I would never recommend taking a class from her. In a relatively simple conversation with a stranger (me) she was invasive with her questions and became nasty, controlling and attacking when I set boundaries and refused to answer her prying questions. I am a licensed psychotherapist myself and I can't imagine how she might be qualified to teach such classes, but maybe I just met her on a really bad day? In any case, any time we put ourselves out as a teacher in a community it is helpful to remember that by our "modeling" we teach in every situation whether we are "officially on" or not. read more

David is extremely talented and intuitive. I recommend this place if you are looking for answers to problems. I have had several readings and David is extremely accurate it finding what is happening. I have found it to be very helpful. They have little events where you can get reading from some of the students as well. They usually have their events on the weekends. The cost is extremely reasonable. You could just one to one of their events and see if you like it. However, I highly recommend having a reading with David. You will be amazed. read more

So my girlfriend decides she wants a clairvoyant reading for her birthday. I believe this to be spurred on by her trying to figure out her life path and journey and goals and sexuality and diet and excersize (as I write this I realize I cannot spell excercise, which shows you what a fat cow I am) and finances and spirituality. I recently heard about Intuitive Way from a friend of mine. Intuitive Way is a very friendly and approachable school teaching their students how to use their intuitive talents. Even if you have no interest in developing your intuitive skills, its a wonderful place to visit for free healing clinics. On most Saturdays they offer a drop-in spiritual healing clinic and on the 2nd and 4th Mondays they offer a women's healing night. They also offer a variety of readings, with readings by students being the lowest cost. From time to time they offer special workshops or festivals. I have started taking a meditation class and I am amazed at what I am learning and how everyone can benefit by learning how to manage everyday stresses. I am impressed with the number of students in all the classes and the high quality of the teachers. read more

Please use caution here. David and Anne Pearce come from Berkeley Psychic Institute in Oakland. Intuitive Way is somewhat like that, with a slightly different flavor. I went here four years ago, and I'm still not over it. I was belittled and I saw belittling. I felt that they were actually abusing me verbally at the time, and I still believe that the verbal abuse was to try to control me. They did not like questions. They preferred that I not read other spiritual schools of thought. They wanted me to just accept what they said. Anne stated that the classes were controlled and safe, but that was not the case. She was not prepared on how to handle a situation regarding an entering entity during a meditation. My caution to anyone considering Intuitive Way as a means of continuing your spiritual studies is to know that the classes are not necessarily safe. I think Anne was not a very good teacher..true story -- I asked a question, and she said it was a stupid question. After class, two students came up to me and said that they had wanted to know the answer to the question I asked. How can there be no reviews, good or bad, since 9-27-2009. If you had a bad experience here, please let others know. It's a moral imperative that you let others know. And of course, if you had a wonderful experience, and anything in between, you should let others know that also.
