Instead, the skirt was cut down the middle, completely changing the style and making it unusable for her team. I was never contacted when issues arose, even though it was clear the seamstress was having difficulty. A simple phone call could have prevented this. Because the skirt was ruined, I had to replace it out of pocket. Despite this, the shop only offered 50% off the alteration work. I did not receive a refund for the damaged garment or the service. I explained that ethically, when a customer's item is ruined during service, the business should replace the item and refund the work. That did not happen. Very disappointing experience.
