HORRIBLE experience. On January 11th, I ordered 2 sets of Rose Gold Foil Seals for a total of 200 seals. I was told the order would ship on the 14th, standard shipping. These seals are not inexpensive. We're talking $15 for each pack, and then with shipping, it's a total of $42. I realize it's expensive, but I wanted Rose Gold, and they're the only ones that have them. On the 24th, I realized... hey, I haven't got my order yet. Go in to look at the status... and they haven't even shipped. I chat with customer service that morning at like 9:30am, her name was Laura. Laura says, oh I'm so sorry, I'll fix that for you and get you upgraded 2-day shipping for your issue. I'll confirm this with you by sending an email after my supervisor gets off the phone. They have to approve this. It gets to be 4pm, and I still haven't received an email, so I open up the chat again and talk to someone else... asking about my order. Oh yeah, that will ship out tomorrow... Laura got the order ready. It's all good. You got 2-day shipping. You'll get an email when it's sent out. Great. Not great. 2 days later, I check back in on the status. It still hasn't been shipped out. Open up the chat. It's Laura again (the chat person). Hey yo, what's the status of my order? Oh, well... uh... it's going to be shipped out today. We've made the shipping label. Doesn't ship out that day... Pop open their chat again. Talk to someone else. What's the deal with my order. Oh, I don't know. I'll check. Oh yes it'll ship out today. Ships out the next day. Fine whatever. It's going to get here, and I'll never have to deal with this company again. Except. Yep. It just keeps going. February 3rd, I finally get my order. I open the package. I only got 1 set of rose gold seals. Now granted there are two items in the box... but the two items are 50 packs of the seals. I counted through them, just in case they were mislabeled. Nope. I only have 100 seals. I open up the chat and Kristina has now assured me that she has placed another order and that I've got upgraded 2-day shipping. IDK when the next set of 100 seals will arrive, but I would put serious bank on it not showing up until the end of February. ALL OF THIS HULLABALLOO and I ONLY ORDERED SEALS. SEALS! PREMADE SEALS. Pretty invitations! Bad customer service. On the day my invites were set to be delivered, we got an email saying a color option wasn't available. No big deal - we make a new selection out of the list provided. The next day, we are told that they made a mistake and the new color we selected isn't available. Again, no big deal so we make a new selection and ask for an updated invoice with tracking. Receive an updated invoice with nothing written in the body of the email and no tracking information. Emails have no signature, so you have no idea who you're speaking with. There's a complete lack of emotion/empathy/personality in correspondence. TIP 2: USE ONLINE PROOFING...IT'S FREE! after i placed the order, they sent online proofs almost immediately, which saved both time and money (physical proofs mailed to you cost more). the proofs had a few mistakes, but after making another call, the small mistakes were corrected and we confirmed the order. TIP 3: ORDER PRE-PRINTED ADDRESSES & GUESTS' INFORMATION we like that they offer the option to have guests' names & addresses pre-printed on the inner & outer envelopes, for a nominal additional cost. return address pre-printing is also available, for an additional cost. the shipment was received about a week later, which is pretty good considering the amount of customised printing that we wanted. unfortunately, they forgot to pre-print guest information on the inner envelopes, but as soon as i made the call, they apologised for their mistake and re-processed the correct order. we did not have to pay any additional costs, shipping, or return the incorrect order, dawn took care of this. we received the corrected order a week later, and were able to assemble our invitations easily and very quickly. since everything was already pre-printed, all we had to do was stamp the envelopes and mail them out. no address writing or hiring a calligrapher, another time and money saver. many of our guests complimented on how lovely and elegant our invitations turned out. great selection of card stock and designs + good customer service = perfect invitations AND happy bride and groom. read more

I ordered a sample of a wedding invitation from the Dawn's Invitations. It came quickly and it looked great. It also came with a coupon for 30% off orders $199+. I spent days and hours working on the invitation. I was ready to buy the invitation and reception cards. I added it to my cart, typed in the promo code that came with the sample. It didn't work. I used the live chat feature. She said that the promo code wasn't working and would be bacK up the next day. I tried the next day several times and it didn't work. I called and the lady said that she didn't know anything about a promo code like that. Then she said it was for samples only (who buys $199 in samples??). Then she put me on hold and came back telling me to just order the invitations and email them and they will refund my card the 30% off savings before processing the order. So I should have followed my own advice and get the invitations for the Celebration of our Marriage (it's not a wedding reception according to etiquette since its months after the wedding) at a local store but I had so much luck with Vistaprint.com (with the save the dates), that I decided to try another internet site for the invites. As you can see by my rating the result has not been good (honestly, I am censoring right now.) So it started with putting in the order (sometime over a week ago) and getting the proof (this was last Monday). Yes, I said proof, they told me I had ordered the proof for the response card, but not the invitation (yeah, that make a lot of sense.) So they email the proof, and it is not what I was expecting. The rep I called to get the proof told me she would call back within an hour to check to make sure everything is ok. Let's just stay I am still waiting for that call. So I call back .... and get put on hold .... so I wait .... and wait ... and wait .... and wait. (I could go on, but I was on hold for over 200 minutes and I don't want to waste your time. Yes, I have one of those phone that times the call.) I finally get a hold of someone (last Tuesday) who was very nice and understanding. She found out that they were working on the correct proof and would get it to me as soon as possible. She upgraded the shipping, so a little less frustration. So on Wednesday, I hadn't received the proof. I try calling, still put on hold. But this time I am successful with getting a hold of someone through their online chat option. She was not nice. She tried putting me off, "I will email you about the status of your proofs." I politely told her I would wait and lo and behold she had an answer within 5 minutes. Lesson learned ... stick up for yourself. I thanked her, and her response .... "You are SO welcome." (emphasis was hers I have a copy of the chat.) Within an hour, I had the proof and a direct dial to the proof department (which they may be sorry about now.) The proof was exactly what I wanted. I called to thank her, she apologized for all the delays (and I never mentioned them, she brought them up.) So the invites arrived today. We got the response cards, but no response envelopes. We got double amount of outside envelopes. But the kicker .... the invitations are from the first proof not the corrected proof. Will be calling them tomorrow .... more to come. 8/12/08 I just talked to a very nice gentleman named Zack. He is a supervisor from a sister company, because they realized they needed help with the call volume. He walked thru the differences on the approved proof and what I received. He states that I should get the correct items by Friday and provided a discount on the invitations when I requested one. I have upped my star rating to 2 based on the service I have received when I have complained. With the exception of the chat operator, all those that have got to deal with me complaining, seem to have done all in their power to correct the issue without any resistance. read more

I requested samples and was am so glad I did as seeing them in person helped me make up my mind when selecting our design. I spent about $275 total for 125 invitations, envelopes and response cards. They arrived with plenty of time to spare. For the price, the quality was exquisite. I loved that I got to choose the font, the ink color and all the details. I proofread everything about a million times before submitting my order and I think that really helped me avoid any snafus. Ordered wedding invitations from these guys, nothing super fancy, save money for the event. The invitations were fine, reception cards were good, the problem was with the interior lined envelopes. We ordered 36 midnight blue lined envelopes, but received 11 black, and 25 green lined envelopes. We called them up, they said they'd send us some new midnight blues, but we only received 25, not 36. Not the end of the world, but try telling that to a bridezilla or someone who wants everything to be perfect. The printing is good, paper quality is fine, customer service is fine, but it just doesn't seem like there's much quality control going on the outgoing shipments. I found the perfect invitation for our wedding and a reception for the following day through Invitations by Dawn. Price was acceptable and the design was unmatched for our needs by anyone else. The hiccup I had was with the website not being the easiest to use and to actually create an account and have it function so I could sign in and out was near impossible. I actually left to go to another company after I got booted off or locked out using my password that I made at least 6 times...annoying as hell!! After leaving and finding nothing suitable I returned for another try after I had called the company with not the greatest satisfaction. I gave up and started over with another email address and then somehow everything started to work. They had stated that there have been problems off and on with the site. Got my card designed, did some upgrades, and made my order. I never did see the specific sizes listed anywhere and some of the layouts were not certain. My suggestion is to keep the process like it is but then make a digital layout of exactly what you get and like a mini map of each and every piece that you receive. I ended up ordering and extra count of mailing envelopes because of this situation. I was unclear and just bit the bullet. Everything arrived nice and neat and absolutely perfect and beautiful! Got it all put together and because of our unique situation I made my own insert for directions and such for the two events. Not a problem, just run them through the printer. Did the addressing the same way. Yay, all done and time to mail. Spent extra to have our names and address put on the back flap...DON'T DO IT! Post office said the return address has to be on the front because the high speed laser reader doesn't read the back...so then I had to make labels for the front with return address in a similar font. If I had known that I would have done that in the 1st place. I'll tell you...with not so much effort, address the envelopes on your computer as well as the RSVP envelopes and save a few $$$, All in all, people love our invitation and we went with the Palm Tree with self lick envelopes. I licked all 70 myself and didn't feel like I ate glue or tasted it. All in all, we are very satisfied and make sure you pay the $10 for a digital proof. She told me I would have to pay for a new order. They messed up and tried to blame me. She said they don't send proofs on napkins. Well maybe they should???? Ya think? DON'T DO IT!!! The entire experience has been a nightmare. The initial placing of the order was okay, except for the mailing addresses. The upload process never worked and we had to email the file to Costumer Service. We did receive our order in a timely matter, however it was incomplete. There were missing addressed envelopes, as well as some of the enclosures. It has been weeks of going back and forth with Costumer Services trying to resolve the issues. We're two weeks from the RSVP date and we still haven't received all of our missing pieces. We decided to go with IBD to save some money, so we can focus our budget on the larger ticket items. What a HUGE mistake! Unless you're ordering your invitations 6 months in advance, I cannot in good faith recommend them. FYI - Actual quality of the printed material is okay, but not great. Don't do it! Be careful with ordering the correct invitations--some of the specifications are not clearly marked and the proofs are not very helpful to judge the dimensions. The paper quality on some invitations is poor and it may be hard to distinguish between which ones are printed on high quality paper and which are not. You may, like me, end up with a bunch of invites printed on copy paper. Thankfully, I had enough time to go somewhere else. So many issues. 1. Customer service: do not use the chat feature on their website. If you have questions, call them. The people on chat are not trained and give contradicting answers to what the people on the phone say. Trust the people on the phone. 2. Designers are robots and don't review your invitations before sending you a proof. On our details card, we wrote farewell breakfast from 8:30 am to 11:30 am and they switched it to p.m. by accident. We corrected it when they sent the proof, so they sent back a new proof with our welcome party (an evening event) to 8:30 am. We went back and forth on this proof at least 10 times before it was correct. It was clear that the designers put zero care or attention into even reading the text on the card. because just a bit of common sense would have saved us a whole lot of back and forth. 3. Printing issues - We get the final order shipped to us and half the envelopes have a pink streak through the addresses. The printer must have been running out of ink. Did nobody check these before sending them to us?? 4. Printing issues #2 - We request they be reprinted and overnighted to us, we get the new ones, and every single envelope has an "o" at the end of the person's last name. UNBELIEVABLE. Again, did nobody look at these before sending to us? We call and request they are reprinted and overnighted AGAIN. We finally got the envelopes to be correct, and the invitations went out (a few weeks after we'd hoped). We are pleased with the final product but would never order from here again. Not worth the stress AT ALL. With all the issues, they never offered any extra support, reimbursement, or even an apology. Really disappointing experience. :( read more

I spent a lot of time looking on the internet for simple, elegant wedding invitations. Finally found what I was looking for here. Whew! Then, I needed them really fast. I was surprised and pleased that I was able to receive them in less than a week (after paying for next day shipping). That's amazing service. Every time I called their customer service line I received fast, high quality service. I could not be happier. All of that said, their web site needs some critical changes. To start an order you must enter a quantity. You cannot change the quantity later except by starting all over again (even redesigning your card) or by placing the order and then calling customer service to place a change order. Also, if you are ready to place an order but want to "pause" you can't. There is no "save and return" function. Again, you can do this by placing the order and then calling customer service to put it on hold, but wow, that's both scary and a little customer hostile, imo. read more

I am not so tech-savvy, so the invitation I designed using their template was not exactly what I had in mind, but I thought: beggars can't be choosers. I put a note in the Comments section, asking IBD to call me if something looked awful. Two weeks later... I received my package in the mail. GORGEOUS!!!! The invites, reply cards, thank-yous, envelopes!!! I even think they touched up the one I designed because it did not look this good on the computer. IBD: You made a bride very happy. :) Yay! I don't recommend this company at all! My fiancé went into their website on 1/25/18 and thought they were the perfect business to go with. She was going to place an order, but kinda held out because of the price. She did place the order in her CART and was going to submit later, but never submitted the order. A few weeks went by I decided to pay for it my self for her on 2/12/18 in the amount of 339.59 (order#18169000), and they gladly took the money. On 2/12/18 they went into her bank account and decided to take out another 339.59 without even bothering to ask her. She called and spoke with some clueless woman that worked there. Invitations by Dawn said that they would put the money back into her account soon as possible. Mean while my fiancé has two bills that are to come out of her account today and was relying on that 339.59 to cover those two bills. During my wedding invitation process, I was overwhelmed with several choices for invitations from, Minted, Vistaprint, Shutterfly, and many more. I knew what I wanted but couldn't really find it on other sites. Many people attending need firm specifics, and came across a booklet invitation. It was prefect for all the information I needed to provide for my guests. I placed a large order of about 180-200 invitations. They came right away and were beautiful; plus the PROMO really helped too. I just placed another order for 'Thank You' cards using a PROMO. I got 180 cards for $107 w/ tax; I did a small upgrade on the Matte finish. Regardless of other reviews, great company and I highly recommend. They really saved me a ton of stress. Everything about Invitations by Dawn was great, until I had to change my date due to COVID-19. All of my other vendors worked with me and went above and beyond. The company who I ordered saved the dates from reprinted my save the dates for 75% off. My venue, photographer, make-up artist, hair stylist, DJ, officiant, and florist all saved 2 wedding dates for me without any complaint. The only company that was a headache during this unfortunate process was Invitations by Dawn. I spent nearly $500 on invitations that I could not even send, and all they offered was to reprint them for $300. Every other company I researched is either reprinting invitations for free or for 75% off. I will be buying my reprints from a new company. No accommodations were made , asked for over night and they said NO ... all i kept getting was we will reprint them oh great ill just sit here and wait another 3 days for them to COME and be WRONG and call your wondering customer service back to get a damn attitude for your mistake. I spent months searching for the right company to do our wedding invites and once I found Invitations By Dawn, I was IN LOVE. For our invites, I wanted something simple yet intimate to us. I found a certain invite that just spoke to me, and ordered a sample. The sample came in a few days (exactly what I wanted) so I started customizing the invites and placed our order over a weekend. By Monday, I didn't get a confirmation email and they didn't take the payment out of my account yet, so I called customer service. I was on the phone with their customer service agent for no more than 5 minutes, she apologized and sent the email over to me and upgraded our shipping! Our invites were sent out on Tuesday and we got them on Thursday IN HAWAII (2 day shipping is AMAZING). The details they put into packaging our order spoke VOLUMES to how good their customer service is. Everything I ordered was accounted for along with extras in case of mistakes (which I definitely appreciated). The invitations itself was way better than I imagined. It was perfect, beautiful and still kept to our simple, intimate theme. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of work IBD does and would definitely order from them again. Although my fiancé and I both loved a design we found on the Invitations by Dawn website, I was dismayed by their Yelp reviews. After considering other options, we decided to give them a try anyway. It was a great experience! When placing my order, I ordered the pricey electronic proofs. The e-mail link to the proofs arrived almost immediately on a Saturday order, so I'm pretty sure they're automated. I immediately noticed that I'd made a typo on the location, noted it on the proof, and sent it back. On Monday morning, I received an order confirmation with a Wednesday ship date. I called to make sure the proof had been corrected and the agent was friendly. He spelled out the corrected address and made sure I could access the new proof online. I received the shipping confirmation on Wednesday and the invites, response cards, and envelopes all arrived TODAY, less than a week later. The print quality isn't quite as good as I expected, but the type is crisp and everything is as ordered. Recommended and will use again. read more

Received 2 of the 3 samples I ordered. The quality is awful for what they are asking. The "new black" looks like it is made with construction paper and the stunning is pretty, but don't choose the gold lettering, because it's hard to read. read more

A pain, but worth the hassel. Well, in hind-site I guess I should have yelped Invitations by Dawn before I ordered, but in reality I am glad I didn't. I love our invitations, and we searched far and wide for the perfect invitations in our price point. We ordered the Above the Bloom invitations and they are gorgeous, embossed, thermography (with pretty glittery ink) and very good quality. So why not 5 stars? Well, it's been a hassel. I should have ordered proofs, but they were expensive so I checked and doubled checked and held my breath. It says on their site and my confirmation email that they print in 2-3 days. It took 3 weeks. Apparently they were backordered on the response envelopes. I called a couple of times and was always greeted promptly by a friendly customer service representative, so this didn't bother me too much. When I called the 3rd time, the representative told me they had a layout problem and were printing another batch. He upgraded me to overnight shipping, free of charge, even though I already had free shipping. We got them yesterday, and were disappointed to see two problems. First, the monogram on the envelopes was wrong - it had only our initials when it should have been our full names. A monogram is a monogram, though, and the envelopes will just be tossed. On the invitations, though, the font with our names on it was tiny. If you held it up to your nose, you could read it. I thought, I should have ordered proofs! The font for the rest of the invitation was 12 and the font for the names was 26.... so why couldn't we read it? Perhaps script fonts just come out tiny? Nope, they confessed when my fiance called that they had printed it at 18. So, I should have ordered proofs for piece of mind, but it was their mistake anyway. They are printing and shipping us new invitations. I DO recommend them, however... it's a pain but they can be reached, are friendly and honest, and I really appreciate that. And the invitations are beautiful. So they have some issues, don't we all? It saved me a few bucks, so I am happy! Just give yourself plenty of time to work out the kinks and you should be fine. read more
