When we were down to our final four, it was hard for us to make a firm decision, as we were cautious due to the previous bad experience that we had just gone through with the other photographer. Then my fiancé told me "so no to JoJo or did you like her stuff"? I was like. "Who is JoJo? I've never seen Jojo's photos". It gets a little confusing when you're looking at several images, to keep them all straight. Immediately after seeing Joanna's photos, our top 4 got tossed to the side and we knew at that moment we found our photographer :) We spoke on the phone with Joanna and she was super friendly and had answers to all of our questions, and had more to share with us that we didn't think of. We met Joanna at Knights Ferry for our engagement shoot, which is a must (very cool place that she suggested). Joanna was the sweetest person and, this time It felt to us like we were with a real professional. She was constantly helping us get into position, making sure hair wasn't in my fiancé's face. Making sure the lighting was just right before snapping shots. She was in her element, and we couldn't be happier with how this session went! After we parted ways. We were biting our nails waiting to see what we would get in our gallery (after the last disaster with the previous photographer) lol but when that email hit, we stopped what we were doing and went through every image and a huge weight was lifted. We were given the most beautiful pictures and couldn't be happier. We will FINALLY have good pictures of us hanging in our house that weren't taken from an iPhone lol. I normally wouldn't write a review for JCPenney, but this time it's fitting because of what…read morehappened. My daughter has been bringing her daughter, my grandchild, did JCPenney portraits since she was one month. She goes to JCPenney's every month to get pictures taken she's a recurring customer! She made an appointment last Saturday at 3 PM and put it under my name. At 2 PM I called the studio to let them know I needed to reschedule because she was about to take her nap. The phone rang several times. No one answered and I didn't get a voice message. Again, I called twice when JCPenney called me at 3:12 I did not hear the phone ring due to it being on silent because the baby was asleep and she was sleeping in my room. I made an appointment for Saturday at 12 noon. I called at 11 to get a later time because she was waking up a little later than normal and I advised that I had appointment on Saturday that I tried to reschedule and no one answered the phone. The lady on the other line said oh yeah I charged you a $25 cancellation fee. Ma'am, I tried to call twice and no one answered. And I'll take it a step further. We tried to call on Sunday because we were running a few minutes behind schedule and again no one answered. And while I'm on the topic, the lady that took the pictures I don't know her name. Her first name begin with a K was extremely rude to me. I'm hoping my daughter didn't have the same experience that I have with her fortunately, I had the baby with me and I was unable to talk to her the way that I wanted to talk to her for being so rude. Needless to say the baby will not be getting her 12 month photos taken at JCPenney will get a true professional.

My husband and I had our 10 YEAR wedding renewal on June 24th, and Jenna was there to capture it…read moreall. However I had planned a surprise renewal ceremony on the beach in Huntington Beach, California. My husband had no idea! Jenna was so great to work with! A few months prior to the ceremony, she came with me to the site to scout out the spot where she would hide out and take those photographs of my husband's shocked face. Jenna is amazing to work with! Even though she is a newborn/family photographer, she understands the connection between husband and wife. When the day came, she hid behind the cars, and when we walked down the stairs to meet our officiant, I could not see her at all! She hid well! Then she popped out, and started taking photos of us, and my husband's face lit up in joy. He was so surprised when he saw the officant waiting with us, and then once he saw Jenna, he was beyond shocked. (fist pump to Jenna, like we did it!!). During dinner, I also had been texting Jenna as we were running late, and she was so good at communicating with me. She was prepared for bright sun light, or low light. :) During our ceremony, Jenna was capturing each and every moment, and in a way that I did not even know she was there. So we enjoyed our renewal without the clicking of the camera or flash.
