I called in February to try to work with them on getting a house and fixing my credit. They told me they could work with me, and that, even though I was working with an extremely tight time frame, they would be able to help. They said they had Austin listings, which is where I was looking to relocate to.
After authorizing the first payment, I was told I would receive my application forms that afternoon. I did not. I finally received them the next afternoon, after calling multiple times to find out what was going on. I filled out the forms and sent them back, and was told by David that I would be receiving the list of properties within ten minutes. Ten minutes passed, and nothing arrived. I sent the paperwork a total of four times to Sandra, then received an email from her saying, "I see it now. I am special haha. I didn't scroll down further to see the bottom attachments." Seriously???
Okay, so I wrote that one off. I figured it was a silly mistake. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. After she figured out where my paperwork was, it took another hour or so to finally get her to send me the listings I was waiting on. But wait, they were the wrong listings! They were for the DFW area, not Austin. I emailed her to let her know what was wrong. She emailed back, saying she had put "North Austin" in the search, and that's what came back. What a load of BS. I received the same DFW listings email a total of 11 times that day. Nothing for Austin. That afternoon, I called and went straight to voicemail. I left a voicemail for David and one for Sandra, stating that I would like a refund, as I did not feel they were addressing my needs. The next day, my fiance called and spoke with Kirk, who assured us it was a misunderstanding, extended our refund period out to 30 days, and said he was in contact with an Austin real estate agent who had worked with them previously. The Austin agent didn't seem to have any idea how their program works, and didn't provide us with any realistically viable options for rentals. But, we decided to wait a week or so and see what else she might come up with. Meanwhile, we did our own search for a new home, and found one that would work with us. During the following two weeks, we had no contact at all from WFCR or the real estate agent. No emails, no phone calls, nothing. Finally, well within the 30 days, I emailed Kirk Zimmerman to request a refund and cancellation. Again, no contact from them. I had tried calling them myself several times, but always went to voicemail. I think they were screening my calls, because when my fiance would call, he would get someone on the phone. That afternoon, my fiance called and spoke with Kirk, who asked that we email him our updated address to send out a refund. I emailed him our updated address. Two days later, Sandra emailed me saying she needed a notarized cancellation request and letter of reason. I emailed her for clarification, and she got downright rude in one of her replies. After this, my fiance called the office and spoke to her. She talked over and interrupted him repeatedly, until he became angry. They both started yelling, then Sandra hung up. Now, they don't take calls from either of our numbers. I've never called and yelled or been rude, yet they still don't answer my calls. The next day, I typed up a letter of reason and intent to cancel, since Sandra had never clarified exactly what she needed. We went down to the postal annex, had it notarized, and sent it certified mail. We spent a total of $16 to send a letter requesting a refund for $150. Today, when I checked the tracking number on the letter, the website said the letter was being returned undeliverable. Seriously??? They turned away our letter! We double checked the address, and according to the website, all of the emails I've received, their Facebook page, and everything else, it was correct. So they must have declined to sign for it. I emailed Sandra the day it was sent to let her know it was coming, and received no response. I emailed Kirk this evening after discovering this, and have still received no response from him, either.
I would recommend that anyone thinking about using this company run far far away. Don't trust them. They'll take your money, ignore your calls and emails, and sit at their desks, laughing, because another sucker is born every day.
