I'm not sure if the pandemic got the best of Joe Camacho but I'm 1000% disappointed in all of his service. I wish I would've never been recommended. Joe was recommended by my sister who he helped get up her credit up 300 points for FREE(program). We had our consultation to ensure he could actually work my case & I begin in October 2019 with maybe $6500 in debt between 4 accounts. Joe is fully aware I'm trying to purchase my first home. He told me it would be a 6 month process as the work is free afterwards. That means April 2020 I should've been looking for a home. December 2020 we had a conversation regarding his LACK OF, what's been removed and what's needed to be completed (paying off 2 accounts & him working on another). Not ONCE did he tell me during the consultation that I'd be paying settlements with the banks. Joe had only removed 3 addresses and 1 account in a year and three months. He blamed the banks on delay in response. Mind you the pandemic started in March 2020, one month before I should've been done. Didn't really take any accountability. He didn't know much about my case from the sound of it. He said via email in August 2020 he wish a bank would just send a validation letter - come the conversation in December, all of a sudden 4 of them received and dated PRIOR TO August. So I ask for it and he sent me billing statements which he told me was a stall tactic. Who knows right ?! So I pay 2 accounts off in March & April 2021 he said he'd work on the deletions. I am PISSED. I've paid The Phenix Group $2,092 to turn around & pay the banks $2,722. WHY?! I ALWAYS had to reach out to him for an update. This is an issue I expressed to him and thought it was resolved until June 2021 when I hadn't heard from him in 5 months. I have ALL email threads and notes taken during each call to show how much he lacked. I don't understand why it took 2 years. I don't understand why he thought I'd pretty much never use my credit card because my utilization should've stayed within 10%, for 2 years! HOW? Life requires you to use credit cards. Rentals for instance. Me booking hotels/Airbnb. Then he proceeds to say "680 is the best you're going to get. You don't plan on buy a $600k house do you?" No I'm not. But it doesn't matter if I'm buying a $600k home, it's you doing the best you can. I would NEVER recommend this company thanks to Joe Camacho. I feel I worked my case myself. We officially completed this process 11/30/2021. I'm really just waiting for someone from management/corporate to reach out to me. I'm so disappointed. read more

I was recommended to Joe Comacho through a friend because I was looking to buy a house. My friend told me how he was in the mid 400 on his credit score and in less then a year he was at a rating that made him eligible to buy a house, I was reluctant at first and thought I was to far in the hole to even make a change. A few weeks passed and I decided to take action and make a change so I picked up the phone and called Joe. Joe was very honest and upfront with everything that needed to be done, he kept a very professional demeanor but also was able to communicate well and joke around which is what made me comfortable enough to proceed with him. Joe walkedyy me through everythingt and was always a call or email away for any concerttns I had. My credit rating started at 402 on all 3 rating with approximately 20k in total debt so you can understand why I felt hopeless! Joe joked around and said it's going to be worked but that he was confident he could get me into a house before the end of the 2023, I was doubtful but I still paid him and he got right to work, the first 3 months were slow and I though here we go another scam. Well at least I tried. Then I started getting letters for all my collectors, I assumed well here we go he stirred the wasp nest and I'm going to get stung, so I called him mad and confused as to why I was getting all these letters and he reminded me of our initial conversation and how they would send threatening letters as a last ditch effort to collect before Joe wiped them out. Soon after that it started happening. Going up 40 points here and 30 points there fast forward to the end of the line and BOOM I get the last notification saying I went up 58 points! Joe ran my credit with a soft pull and notified me that my credit was 667 and ready for a house, everything was surreal and honestly I was still doubtful because I had lived with bad credit for a LONG time but I can testify as living proof that today I CLOSED on my house! 2537sqft 4 bed 4 bath! I went into the loan office expecting to be denied like every other time I tried anything with credit! And I walked out of there a home owner! I want to say thank you to David Rodriguez and The Phenix Group for their amazing credit repair service. I was referred to David by my mortgage lender in Ashville, NC. I was in very bad shape with my student loans and other credit issues from going through tough times in my younger years. I have been living off of cash for many years and got used to paying for what I wanted in full. A little Sunday math lesson: My credit hasn't been the best over my adult life. In 2016 it was crappy enough my name wasn't on the mortgage loan for my new home (just the deed.) That mortgage had a less than stellar rate (5.5%.) When I sold the house last year I paid off a chunk of credit card debt and bought a car in cash. I brought a cashiers check to the dealer when I bought my new car in July and they actually knocked $1800 off! Because I paid off all that debt and my huge car loan ($30k balance with an astronomical interest rate) was gone, my credit score jumped up over 100 points immediately. I hired someone (Joe Camacho with The Phenix Group) to clean up collection accounts and he was able to do that in 4 months! That enabled me to buy a home. We took out a loan that was $100k more than the loan on the house I just sold, but because the interest rate I got was so good, the payments are the same. Seriously, I pay the same on a $318k loan than I did on a $220k loan solely because of the interest rate AND, we are paying it off in 20 years vs 30 on my other home. I will be honest, 100% a skeptic when my husband set up a phone meeting with Joe to talk about our credit and debt situation. I thought this guy is just going to take our money and not be able to really do anything to help. After a few months, still was a skeptic but slowly but surely I turned skeptic to 100% believer. I'll admit when my mortgage lender first referred me to Brian Quinn at The Phenix Group I was very skeptical! Having already tried to use Lexington Law for credit repair and not seeing any difference in my credit score  the last thing I wanted to do was spend more money and still not be able to purchase a home.
