But it was also something I was nervous about. Jeremia was so patient, really listened to me, and designed an amazing octopus that covered a large portion of my right calf. The tattoo itself was complicated and took hours to finish. Jeremiah made sure I was comfortable the whole time and checked in on me throughout. The whole experience was incredible. Everyone else at in the shop was also welcoming and the team at ARTery have succeeded in creating a unique and inclusive space. As for the tattoo itself. It's fabulous! Amazing! Unique and as weird and beautiful as I had hoped it would be. Everyone I have shown it to loves it and remarks on Jeremia's artistic talent. Most importantly, I LOVE it! When I mentioned to a well tatted barista the other day that I had gotten my first tattoo, and told him about ARTery and Jeremiah, he said he knew her work and that, "Jeremia is the best tattoo artist in the valley." If you are in Flagstaff, Sedona, Cornville, Cottonwood, Prescott, or Camp Verde (or Phoenix even) you should get your tattoo at ARTery!

I love all three of the tattoos I've received from Kat, and not only is the work quality, but Kat makes the entire process feel luxe. Her shop itself has the coolest decor, and you can tell that she takes great pride in her space. She also makes sure that you know how to care for your tattoos afterwards in the healing process, and even gives you a goody bag to take home with aftercare. She is a true artist, and is very involved in the Jerome art scene. She has theme nights once a month, and puts in great effort to lift up other artists and businesses in her community.
