I was in for an IV a few months back and when I left I noticed about 20 minutes later that my arm felt wet. I removed my brand new coat and blood was dripping from my arm and the sleeve of my coat was soaked. So I went right back and they apologized and promised a free IV in the future. Today I called for an appointment and got a confirmation message to my phone while on the way there. Then I received a call from some guy who I had never talked to saying that they would not honor the promised IV because I had been "upset and used some colorful language the last time I was there". I explained that they had ruined a brand new coat and yes, I was not happy. They scheduled the free IV, (not the very expensive one I had paid for but said the free one was just saline with nothing else) I was all the way across town when he called but they lied and wasted even more of my time. I would never go there again. I have had dozens of IV's and never had any issues anywhere else. These people are not trustworthy. UPDATE; Since posting this review I got a call from Iowa IV telling me I should be an "adult" and asking me what they can do to get me to remove the review. Telling me I am not being an adult because I speak the truth is not the answer. Being rude and condescending is not the answer. I am not the one who did a bad job. I am not the person who lied about making up for it once already. You treated me like I was trying to pull something over on you for a few dollars. Even though the girl who did it saw the blood soaked coat and arm less than an hour later. Ladies I wear jeans and t shirts but I have many millions in liquid assets. Full disclosure, I was here for maybe 10 minutes today so my review is based off that limited interaction. I made an appointment for the fall special -$10 B12 shot, which is normally $25. After experiencing the deal, I would not spend $25 on the shot. I would take that $25 and buy a 60 day supply of B12 at Campbell's Nutrition. Maybe it's a higher dose or more pure grade.. I don't know. It's not worth $25 to me. Yesterday I got online to try to reschedule my appointment and the system was going to charge me $1 to reschedule. I cancelled my appointment and put in the comments it was because I was not willing to pay to reschedule when I was giving plenty of notice. I received a phone letting me know I can reschedule without paying $1 and they were working on revamping the system so it wouldn't do that. I was impressed that I received a call and willingness to accommodate. Everyone I interacted with today was very kind and the woman who gave me my shot was very personable. As a person who has become more health conscious, I think it's great Iowa IV is in town Update over a year later: I stopped in for a B12 & CoQ10 shot. I laughed when I read my prior review because I said I would never get a B12 shot again. Never say never friends :). I spent a little more time in here today. The shelf behind the front desk has some books for staff and clients to read. One of those books is How to Starve Cancer. I love that book. The lady helping me said they have some cancer patients who get the high dose vitamin c infusions. We talked about labs.. both basic and those more depth from integrative/functional practitioners. She said their medical director will review labs free of charge. Whaaaaat. That's pretty amazing. Anyway, long story short this trip gave me all the feels. read more

On my 1st visit I just so happened to be very dehydrated (had just had a massage) which made finding a vein for the IV pretty difficult. Oh but Austin! Austin who did my IV was extremely patient. Once he was able to get my IV started, due to the IV location, my drip was a bit slow. Austin and the rest of the Iowa IV team continue to check on me throughout my infusion. The entire staff was absolutely amazing and I couldn't ask for more. I felt safe and well cared for. The facility is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. They provide TV's Reclining Chairs (and my favorite) Very Warm Blankets. And as someone who suffers from migraines, they have a specialty IV for that among other things (like if you drank to much last night, they can quickly cure your hangover). The experience made me aware of two things: 1.) Water is Life! I am so much more aware of my water consumption now. 2.) I'll definitely be returning soon for B12 & another IV (because even though I know how important water is, I suck at drinking enough and staying hydrated). The better hydrated you are the more energy you have and let's not forget that it helps regulate your body temp and can aid at maintaining a healthy weight. My elderly mother had been ill, and dehydrated as a result. I knew nothing about this place that I had found in a Google search, so I scheduled a hydration IV for both her and myself. We got checked in and seated in a nice, semi-private area. We each had a nice recliner, and a TV for the two of us. The nice employee took our temperatures, blood pressure, and pulse ox. Then he started the IVs. He had a little more trouble with my mom because she was so dehydrated, but got mine in right away. Then Mom and I sat back and chatted for awhile. Before we knew it, the bags were nearly empty and the employee was back checking our stats again. Then we checked out and headed to lunch. Overall, a very nice experience in a clean and comfortable place. The employee is also a paramedic, so I felt that we were in good hands. My only complaint was that, when we left, the customer in the private area next to ours had his mask below his chin. Instead of covering his nose and mouth. Otherwise, I highly recommend! read more
