Iowa Sleep Center is only after your money. I had an appointment at 8:40 and showed up at 8:48. I was told that I would have to come back because they were to busy. AKA overbooked. I tried to tell them that my wife fell and I had to help her and that was why I was late. Also I had taken time off work to make this appointment. Didn't matter they were to busy for me. I canceled my appointment and won't be back. I'll find a place the cares about me and not my money. read more

After initial consult, I was to be scheduled for a sleep study. I work nights and requested all contact to be after 3pm, because I don't sleep well and don't want to be awoken when I am sleeping. 10am I get a call and wake me up, to tell me someone will call me to schedule an appointment, so I wait up. NO CALL. The next day I stay up expecting the call nothing, so the third day I go to sleep, 10am I get a call to schedule appt. and get woke up again. I request a daytime sleep study, because that is when I sleep. They tell me they don't do daytime sleep studies, so I agree to a night time study. I arrive for my study they ask if I'm ready to go to sleep. I tell them no, because I work nights and this is my morning. The technician responds, then why are you here you should have scheduled a daytime study. I told her a just wanted to get it over with, so she had the Dr. order me a sleep aid. I got ready for bed and started watching a video on my tablet, I laid the tablet flat while a commercial was on, then when the video came back on I again started watching it, a few seconds a different person came crashing in my room without knocking and started yelling at me that my video was not helping me sleep. Now I was mad and could not sleep and just laid there the whole night and never got to sleep. Now we are back to scheduling a follow up with the doctor. guess what I get another 10am wake up call. I go in to talk with the doctor. He starts telling me about all the times I entered REM Sleep and then stopped breathing for 30 seconds at a time. Funny I never slept remember. What a scam. Everyone who goes here automatically needs a CPAP machine. I don't even snore, my problem is that I just don't sleep well. I never went back, and don't recommend you go here either, especially if you want to know why you have trouble sleeping. If you just want a CPAP, this my be the place for you because everyone that goes here will get one prescribed. This place is a scam! read more

Incredibly unprofessional experience. The communication was terrible. My phone calls were never answered, and I never got a response to my voicemails. When I finally did get a phone call, they didn't have the information they needed, and said they'd call back, which they never did. I made arrangements to miss work for a day, and they made an error with the scheduling. I will be looking elsewhere for these services. I strongly encourage people to go somewhere else. It has been a headache for me and caused unnecessary stress. read more

I am very underwhelmed by a big screen tv in my room and no cable. that was the first downer in a strange place with nothing to do during basketball season. Now after the study, I was told I could go get a c-pap or I-pap machine the same day after leaving my morning consultation to go over my results. NOT A CHANCE. First of all the doctor sent me to Hammer medical supply which needs a ton of information more than what I was sent with which was my prescription for the machine and my sleep study results. they still needed more than that to even submit it to my insurance. I left Hammer thinking all was well, was told this was going on my 2015 insurance which we'd met the family deductible already and that they'd call me when it came in. I waited a week and a half hadn't heard anything, called Hammer back and found out they are still waiting on something from the sleep study and it cannot go to insurance without some document. Now they tell me it will also have to go on my this year's insurance since it goes from the day that it's ordered and they couldn't order before without all of the documents. I called to talk to the sleep study doctor about who to use instead of Hammer since he told me they were not the cheapest but it wouldn't matter since I had met my deductible, it's not now since we haven't even submitted the order, now it'll go on a new deductible and I will be paying fully for this device out of pocket. Also I'm now told by hammer that it's a rental not a purchase so there's a monthly fee to use the machine for 10 months at which time it's considered paid in full. I called to ask for the doctor to call me back and the receptionist was very reluctant to even do this which had me boiling. What doctor won't call a patient back? That's the first and last time I'll ever experience that. DON'T GO HERE. read more

I really hate having to give this only 2 stars but...I have son with special needs who was having some behaviors while in the waiting area. Not severe. Mostly vocal. He eventually relaxed but the 2 receptionists at the front desk were visibly annoyed by this. He had arrived with his caregiver prior to my arrival. When I went to check him in they were quite terse and unfriendly. My son`s primary insurance is Wellmark but he also has a secondary Medicaid plan. Typically there is no co-pay because of this. I gave them his Medicaid number (didn`t have a card because, well, Medicaid is a mess since privatization). They called the Medicaid hotline (which again seemed to annoy them) and claimed he had no Medicaid. He`s had it since birth! Long story short they insisted on a $50 co-pay. It really isn`t about the money, as I have the ability to pay. It`s about the fact that the receptionists were so unfriendly throughout the process. It`s too bad this ended up being an unpleasant visit because the nurse was extremely nice and was super with my son. I also thought Dr. Zorn was quite pleasant and thorough. read more
