I was thrilled to find a local business that might be able to revive my "dead" iPad. I figured my worst-case scenario was buying a new one, and my best-case scenario was spending about half that amount on a repair. When I walked into iParts & Phone Repair, I was immediately greeted by who I assume was the owner. After I explained that my iPad wouldn't charge--even after trying multiple cables and outlets--he got right to work troubleshooting the issue. Less than five minutes later, he had found the problem: my charging cable was the culprit. He plugged in a brand-new cable, and just like that, my iPad sprang back to life and started charging perfectly. I'll admit I was a little embarrassed that the fix was so simple, but that feeling disappeared quickly when I realized all I needed was a new charging cable instead of an expensive repair or replacement. I happily purchased one on the spot. The owner (I wish I had gotten his name) was friendly, professional, and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. Called about a cracked screen on my iPhone SE 2nd Gen yesterday early afternoon, brought it in a little while later, repair was done well within the time frame they specified. They sent out texts saying the repair was in progress and when it was done. Good thing my MacBooks pros are working fine, thats where I checked about the repair status. Noticed muffled sound last night before their closing time, they said bring it in today (yes they're open Saturdays) and turns out they had put a screen protector on top of the screen they installed and it was blocking my speaker. This was my first time using this shop. I dropped my iPhone and my screen stopped working properly. I called the shop talked to Zachary. He told me the price over the phone and invited me to just drop off my phone. I dropped off my phone. Zachary was there. He said it would take 60-90 minutes. I checked in after an hour, he checked and they let me know if would be 5-10 minutes more. I went back after another 20 minutes. My phone was ready. I checked my phone. Everything was working perfectly! The screen was fixed and my phone is working again! Zachary was very professional, communicated well and did a good job with a "customer under distress". Cracked the screen on my iPhone and really wasn't happy with the thought of having to go to the Apple Store. I checked yelp and found this establishment and am glad that I did. The customer service is exceptionally great. I was greeted right away and I explained the cracked screen situation. They took a look at it and said no problem at all. They verified that they had the replacement screen and had my phone back k to me within 2 hours. Workmanship was fast and outstanding. Looking at my phone you'd never know it once had a cracked screen. Plus it was $50 cheaper than going to the Apple Store. This is the WORST customer service I have ever encountered. Save your time and money and go support a company who believes in customer satisfaction. Alika Salazar had lied to me TWO times about my iPhone Xs. I was surprised that he was considered to be the "boss" bc his work ethic showed otherwise, yikes... I tried to get my screen replaced and they weren't able to fix it. They did something to my phone to where it wasn't even able to charge anymore, mind you it was charging before I had took it to them. Then he proceeded to tell me that once my phone shuts off, it won't turn back on. Funny thing about that is my phone turned on before and after taking it there. He said that the only way to turn off the phone is if you slide the red arrow on top, not by just holding down the buttons. (Btw you can shut down a device both ways sir, please call Apple themselves if you need to educate yourself on the products you are repairing). Then he told me that my phone was unfixable from the start AFTER I got my phone back from him. If that was the case, I wish you would have let me known that when your employee came to show you my phone and you said you were able to fix it BEFORE charging me the non-refundable deposit. Since you said "my phone was shaped like a 'taco' you weren't able to fix it, but if it was straight you would have." I just wish you said it just like that before you took my money, not after. I hope you don't try to run someone for their money and telling them two different things. I asked if they can type up and print out a hard copy of them saying that the company was not able to fix my device, and they did not want to. Strange. I wish I took my business somewhere else, instead of my phone getting better, it got WORSE! Now my phone doesn't charge and Alika didn't even want to refund my money back at first. He showed so much attitude and sarcasm, I was shocked. You are better off going to Apple, Samsung, etc. yourself to ensure you get the right care for your device. I am glad I didn't wait to do my phone repair because Elbert mentioned that since my phone was overheating, it would have damaged internal parts if I hadn't done it quickly. I came in here because my mac air died and I didn't want to drive 1+ hours to go to the apple store. iParts & Phone Repairs offers free diagnosis, and the worker (Andrew I think) was nice enough to push my laptop up because I needed it back ASAP to finish my summer homework. I swore it was the battery (and it still might be, I have to bring my laptop back in to finish the diagnosis) but it turned out it was the charger plus whatever else is wrong with it. Andrew called me a day after I dropped off my computer and told me that I needed a new charger, when I came it my laptop was keeping a charge with the new charger so I took my mac back home to catch up on work. I will be bringing back my mac to finish the diagnosis and get in a new battery. The apple store quoted me about 150 to put in the new computer and a turn around rate of about 1 week. iParts & Phone Repairs quoted me 150 as well, offered me 5% off with a yelp check in, and could finish the work in 3-5 hours. read more
