AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU CAN!! I really wish I kept my phone how it was after this experience, I basically paid $160 for them to break my phone. I went in to get the back side of my iPhone 14 Pro repaired since it was shattered. It only took a couple hours to repair, but they did a horrible job. The first issue was that the replacement panel kept popping up as if they didn't even put glue. The second, most important issue was they somehow damaged a cable for my faceID sensor. So I take it back and they give me a temporary phone and the guy says he knows someone in Sac that can fix anything and it should take 1, maybe 2 days max. Well, 4 days later, the guy in Sac finally figured out how to fix it and ordered the part for it. My phone is finally ready 8 days after dropping it off, and the main guy in Davis told me to come at 2 p.m. and it should be ready. I get there at 3 p.m. and he tells me his wife is on the way with the phone and should be here in 15 minutes. Which was odd because it should've been there already but I didn't mind waiting a bit. After 5 minutes he sends me a text saying his wife is actually running errands and isn't in fact on her way so I would have to wait until 5 p.m. It's a bit frustrating how my time was wasted, but at least I have my phone back and it seems to be working fine. HOWEVER, this is unfortunately not the end of it because not even 24 hours later, my faceID is not working once again. It appears they put in non genuine apple part in my phone so it just straight up doesn't work. On top of this, they put in a cheap backing for my phone, which cracked after a 12 inch drop with a case on. The backside breaking again was my fault, but come on it should be durable enough to withstand one small drop. I told the guy in Davis about these new issues and he told me about having to pay out of pocket to fix the faceID and basically told me off and contact the guy in Sac since he did it. Overall, I wish I can give this place 0 stars for their unprofessionalism and incompetence to fix a phone. I don't appreciate being lied to by the owner and they ended up causing more damage to my phone than when I brought it in. read more

Needed a new charging port and a newer battery for my 2020 iPhone SE. The service was quick and the job well done. My only wish is that they carried OEM Apple batteries. Is that even possible for a non-Apple store? My phone won't tell me the stats on the battery health, since it doesn't recognize it as something of itself. But it does last longer than old battery did, so I guess I can live with it. Price for two things was $80, which was reasonable for labor and parts. read more

I first came here to repair the glass that had broken on the back of my samsung 8 a few years ago. I was a broke college student and I really appreciated not only how affordable, but also how professional and efficient the owner was at repairing my phone. I came back again because I thought my charging port was damaged. I told the owner that I was cleaning it out and the charging cable wouldn't plug in anymore. I was certain I damaged it and needed the whole part replaced. Rather than charge me immediately for the new part, he looked at the port under a microscope and discovered more lint was clogging the port. He cleaned it out for free and it works just fine now! I have twice now had my screen replaced by this business - some months ago by Juan and this week by Cesar. In both cases, their work was professional and competent, and their turnaround time was very fast. This first recent time I had gotten my iPhone 11 wet and feared that I would have to buy a new one because it no longer seemed to work correctly. Cesar told me he was fairly confident it was a screen problem and he was right. He replaced it in less than an hour and it's working great again. iPhone's screen went black and unusable, came to them for a screen replacement. Shoddy screen replacement, adhesive from under the screen sticking out from edges, screen glitches out periodically by auto-selecting apps and randomly clicking around, brightness constantly going up and down with no changes in ambient lighting. Went in to inform the person what was going on and that I am dissatisfied with the screen listing all the issues and asked what could be done. He immediately gave major attitude and became very upset telling me to show him the issues on the spot. I explained that they do not happen all the time but it has been disruptive to use. He then proceeded to tell me that it's either I keep the screen that's malfunctioning or asked if I'd like my screen that completely quit on me. I said I'd like to have a screen that doesn't give so many issues. He said he'd 'refund me and put on the screen that doesn't work at all but then you won't have a phone to work, is that what you want?' This guy is a crook and holds phones hostage. WORST customer service I have EVER experienced. Save your money and go elsewhere if you know what's good for you. Horrendous unprofessionalism and rude service. read more

BEWARE OF DISHONEST STAFF GIVING FALSE PRICES AND CHEATING YOU OF YOUR MONEY. ESPECIALLY THE YOUNG GUY IN HIS 20s. My phone screen protector cracked so I went to Davis Phone Repair to fix it. I went into the shop and saw a poster stating that replacement of a screen protector is $10 for IPhone 10 and IPhone 11, $15 for the latest models and $20 for a privacy screen protector. I wanted to confirm so I asked the young guy (I think in his 20s) in front of the counter. He said it'll be $15. I said "Doesn't it say $10?" He said "oh right what's your model, an IPhone 11?" (So he recognized my model from the start and was lying about the price) He said "Many people get the privacy protector which will be $15" and proceeds to give a whole explanation of how some people want privacy so that other people can't see from the side what the person is texting with a privacy protector. BUT THE BOARD SAYS THE PRIVACY PROTECTOR IS $20. So he was lying again. I suspect that he purposely said it was $15 because he wanted to pocket the change! He also probably thought it was easy to fool me since I was a young girl. Who knows how many customers he has already cheated of their money. BEWARE AND TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. read more

I'm happy there have been a number of people who have had a good experience with this place. I unfortunately regret going here and wasting my money. I took my Samsung A52 here just to get the screen replaced. It was quick it was a little under 100 bucks and I felt okay with it, but immediately I noticed my phone was slightly different. For instance, the thumbprint reader no longer worked. I would've turned right back and brought this to his attention, but I had my tired three year old son with me and just needed to get home. it wasn't too long after that day I could see the glue on my screen starting to lift up. This was a few months ago, so long story short I just got done taking my Samsung to ubreakifix in Sacramento and they diagnosed it for the last two days and I just got off the phone with them. They said the person who fixed my phone previously (Davis Cell Phone Repair) punctured my battery along with the crappy screen replacement. Which btw lead to my phone breaking even worse as the screen kept lifting and functions on my phone started to dwindle (now I know was due to the punctured battery) until eventually my phone was not charging or turning on at all. So before you leave this quick cheap business a good review, give it about a week and see if your device is still in "good" condition. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

A few days ago the vibrate mechanism in my iPhone 7 started vibrating really loudly and the home button made a hollow click noise when I pressed it. My phone has loose charging port. I took it to this place and fixed it under 5 minutes free of charge. There was a built up of dirt in my phone. Other places wanted to charge me $25 to clean it and this place is good. They also do battery replacement to which the service guy assured me it will be done under an hour with 6 months warranty if something is wrong with the phone. read more

Cell Phone Repair was not able to restore the facial recognition feature and claimed only Apple could make this repair for $649. Because they disabled the facial recognition feature and could not restore it they discounted the replaced screen replacement $100 and charged me $200. I did not think this was a fair settlement but I needed my iPad and paid the $200. When I asked the owner if he could agree to a more favorable outcome he became testy and told me my options were either to pay $200 or $300. I paid the $200 but was very disappointed and very dissatisfied with the service and will never go back. At the very least I felt he should pay for the facial recognition cost minus the $300 for the screen repair. Customers be warned. read more

Amazing service, I tried to install a new battery for my phone and I ended up damaging my phone so that the power button doesn't work anymore. The power button is pretty important!! They were able to diagnose what was wrong with my phone and boot it up with the power button so that I can use my phone almost like normal now. read more

I took my samsung a52 here. Once my new screen came in, I brought my phone to his shop where it was fixed same day and the price was definitely low compared to other shops. I was happy to have my phone up and running again, but immediately upon getting in my car, I noticed the fingerprint reader wasn't working. I would've gone right back in to tell the owner about this, but I had my 3 year old with me, running errands, and had just loaded us back up into the car. So I decided to call it good and just live without the fingerprint reader as I don't necessarily need it anyways. Fast forward a couple weeks and I start noticing other issues (it now won't save any of my passwords, the screen is unable to get bright when out in the daylight, during phone calls the screen won't go black and my cheek will tap options on the screen) Now, its been a month and the screen as of last week, seems to be coming unglued in the top left corner. My boyfriend just tried to put my phone on a wireless charger and come to find out it now won't work on those. I really wanted to like this place, as the guy was nice, had good prices, he kept me updated as to when the new screen had arrived and the service was super quick. I'm very disappointed, though and I should've just paid more at another business. read more
