If you're anywhere on the North Shore and looking for a trustworthy, knowledgeable gun shop, do…read moreyourself a favor and stop by CSGI Firearms. I've been a customer since they first opened, and the experience has been consistently outstanding. The entire team is incredibly knowledgeable--not just about firearms, but also Massachusetts laws, surrounding ranges, and any questions you might have as a new or experienced shooter. They go out of their way to make sure everything they do is completely Massachusetts law compliant, and they genuinely care about educating their customers. Whether it's explaining the LTC process or talking through your Second Amendment rights, they always take the time to make sure you understand everything clearly. One thing that really stands out is their inventory and customer service. Most of the time they have exactly what you're looking for in stock, and if they don't, they're quick to find a solution and get it ordered with a very reasonable turnaround time. They make the process easy and transparent. The shop itself is welcoming and comfortable. Even if you walk in just to ask questions and don't end up buying anything that day, they still make sure you leave with knowledge and confidence. There's never any pressure--just a genuine willingness to help whenever you're ready. Chris, the owner, deserves special recognition. He's a stand-up guy, a former service member, a family man, and just an all-around good human being. You can tell he truly cares about his customers and the community he's building around the shop. And sometimes you'll even be greeted by the beautiful Belgian Malinois who is incredibly sweet--but also clearly well-trained for protection! I'm genuinely grateful to have such an amazing shop nearby for anything we might need. I recommend CSGI to everyone I know. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!

I remembered recently my visit to this gun club with a friend and was pleased to find out more…read moreabout it from a long-time member. This members-only club offers pistol and rifle ranges, so you must join to use the facilities. Unfortunately, they don't have a website, but I found their Facebook page [here] (https://www.facebook.com/ecsainc). The club also has an archery range near the clubhouse, though I only saw one target. To get there, drive down Ferry Lots Lane in Salisbury to the end, open the gate, and continue until you see a building on the left behind another gate. I was told membership meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM in the clubhouse. Attending a meeting might be a good way to learn more about joining. The clubhouse is easy to find once you're on the grounds, but it's only open to officers and special events, which means paying members don't have access to it for general use. This seems odd since members are paying for it. Membership fees are double the regular dues, which is unusual compared to other clubs that charge less or no additional fee for new members. To reach the range, walk to the right of the clubhouse. Some abandoned vehicles were on both sides, giving the area a neglected look. Beyond these is an open field where you can shoot rifles, pistols, and shotguns. There are no clear boundaries between the ranges, so shooters might have to share the same shooting line. Despite some safety concerns, limited clubhouse access, and no bathrooms, the grounds are decent for shooting, especially if you're alone or with a friend. However, the range is closed to all members during hunting season, which is inconvenient.

I payed my renew membership in December and after a month or so I finally got ahold of someone,…read morethis went on for weeks with no answers why I have not received my membership! It says on the web site that you can get the code a the monthly meeting or they will email it! It's a great place to shoot but no way would I recommend this club to anyone!

Their firearm safety course is extremely reasonable in price and is conveniently located in Beverly at the Cummings Center. Our instructors were Mike Pelonzi and Cory Daras. Mike has had several years under his belt in law enforcement experience and training. Cory Daras is a trained nurse, nurse educator and a Marine Veteran. She brings her passion for caring for others to a personalized gun safety course. Both Mike and Cory, with their sense of humor, delivered an exceptional firearm safety class. Mike and Cory are extremely passionate about firearm safety, public safety and very knowledgeable about past and current gun laws. Cory ensures that after you take her class you walk out with insight on personal safety, and situational awareness options to protect yourself and loved ones from potential threats. Mike and Cory's class was by far the best firearm safety training I have ever received. I look forward to going back to them for future firearms training as well as first aid and CPR training that the academy also provides. If you choose Safety Academy USA you will not be disappointed!

If I have to exclude everybody else, fine, John is awesome! He makes amazing coffee. But if I was going to be realistic, I would have a list of their entire staff in this review. My biggest complaint may be the AC in the sales section, it tends to get way too warm during the hot days, which is disappointing. The range experience is great, when I ask for something exciting to try, they always have an honest answer and something new to try out. Additionally, their RSOs are awesome when on the range, always offering their time and suggestions. It's great having an expert provide solicited advice. The club is also great, they are really making the best out of their space and offering. I do wish that they would hold non-club special events in the event space rather than the lounge, but to be honest, most members are hanging out in the range rather than upstairs in the lounge, so it spends a lot of its time with low occupancy, which is great for members that want to get some work done between range visits. I look forward to trying out their outdoor ranges, they just opened up to members and I hope to try them out soon!

I highly recommend the cheese-making classes as well. I'd pay just to hear Luca's commentary on life, much less to learn how to make cheese from him! Even after studying food in Italy, I've never come across anyone so passionate about dairy.
