(I started when I was 48). I have had spinal surgery and as a result of this and aging my distances have dropped significantly. When I called PGASSTORE Peabody I spoke Craig, the manager on duty. He actually listened, asked great questions, and insisted I book a fitting with Mike Francis, ONLY. Great advice. At our first appointment he only fit me irons (AND SHAFTS). He doesn't believe in full bag fittings. Next appointment was for a driver. Great technology, better knowledge. Suggested driver, a fairway, and hybrids to augment the irons. I ordered them all. Needed more loft in the fairway, took advantage of their satisfaction warrantee and Craig perfectly suggested alternative fairway. Driver was giving un reliable results. Contacted store. Mike insisted I book a free driver evaluation appointment. Within two minutes he saw the problems, tweaked the club and my setup. I was then hitting simulator drives in excess of my computed optimum. This man is a golf genius, easy to talk to and WON't upsell you. I'm sorry I can only give five stars to him and Craig. Yes, it's a big store. I've been shopping at this store since it opened and recently had one of the worst experiences in…read morenot just a golf shop but any shop. I tried to return a set of clubs under the 90 day return policy. I didn't have my receipt but I asked the salesperson if he could look me up in the system or use my credit card. I just wanted to return to buy a new ( and more expensive set) his response was " we don't do that, can't you see how busy I am and please step aside so the next customer can make her purchase". I asked again politely and his response was " what part of my explanation didn't you understand". it's back to online or golfers warehouse for me. if this is a part of your training and your staff can't manage a busy store without insulting customers, it's time to update your training

They have cameras to the side, and behind you and they can pause, slo-mo, and draw lines to show club position, face angle, ball contact while comparing your swing side by side with pro swings to demonstrate your swing flaws. They also provide summaries of your lessons on your phone app including before-and-after videos of you along with commentary, drills and linked videos of instructors with topics such as slicing and swing dynamics. After 6 lessons I have improved my grip, backswing, turn, downswing, ball contact and follow-through and am hitting every club farther, straighter, and with much less slice. Great indoor instruction and practice during the winter. Im sure I'll be playing better golf this spring and summer and will be back for more Golftec lessons next winter.

I have been a customer and "student" at Golftec for more than a year now and can't say enough good…read morethings about how it has helped my golf game. Prior to taking lessons at Golftec I had been golfing on a regular basis for about 6 years. Over those years I saw some improvement, but it was not until I started lessons at Golftec that I was able to see a significant improvement in my game. I have dropped over 10 strokes in my game over the last year. The video instruction (while intimidating at first) is paramount to improving. It wasn't until I saw myself of video that I could really focus in on what was wrong with my game. Through Steve's instruction and the practice sessions I have and am continuing to fix the problems in my set up, swing and finish. Even though he tells me to do something and I swear I am doing it - the video often tells me I am swinging too big or swaying on my take away. I don't know how someone could improve their game without it. In addition to the video, you have access to all of your lesson video and drills online. Golftec also has a partnership with a driving range/short range facility where you can also practice in the sand and around and on the green. Much more than just golf…read more Don't let the name fool you. If you're looking for something to do this place has much more than just golf. Me and wife spent a night here playing Ping Pong in the game room while others were there playing pool, bag toss, skeeball, super jenga, darts, and board games. After we finished our game we went to the bar and had another drink. The beer selection caters to everyone which was great! Bud, colts, Miller, corona, but also a selection of good local IPAs and others. Top shelf liquor also available for good cocktails. The only negative is they don't have a kitchen so food has to be ordered from the outside and delivered. They have the Omega Pizza menu available for you, but the sense of simply ordering a few apps is missing. Overall, if you're stuck for something to do, this place is pretty solid for a date night or group of friends.
