I specifically advised the partner in charge of handling my tax return at the beginning of the engagement - that I would require an extension as I was about to enter the hospital to undergo a medical procedure. He was new to me. I was constantly told and hounded by one of their administrative staff they would require immediate payment for services. I had advised this same person several times I would pay my invoice as soon as my medical procedure was completed and I was released from the hospital. ( I always pay my bills.) Despite advising this person several times of my situation, and having advised the partner in charge of my situation, at the very beginning of the engagement with him, this administrative person who was extremely obnoxious would not let up. The invoice was not very large, a little over $500. The only reason I wound up with this firm was I previously used a former partner of the firm, who did OK but not great work on my tax returns. My wife at the time was friends with one of the accountant partners wife of this firm. This prior partner did not know and could not handle the tax information for 529 accountants very well. As I had 3 sons who fortunately now have all graduated from college. I had to literally walk him through the 529 tax information each year and how to handle it. He is now retired, fortunately. My advice to you is to stay away from this accounting firm unless you like being constantly and relentlessly pressured.

According to them, all they had to do was forward that email to a corporate processing site. On 9-21-2016, I called that corporate site for the reason of the hold up (no refund). They informed me that nothing was recieved from Trunnell and my refund hasn't even been started (They were even asking me about the stauts of my next month's payment!). My insurance was Progressive. They made reporting the accident to them a huge hassle, including a super glitchy link for photos that froze up over and over. It was impersonal, and they were gonna make me pay out of my deductible even though I didn't do anything wrong. The guy was covered by State Farm. Once he decided he couldn't pay out of pocket for the damages, State Farm reached out to me directly telling me they'd pay for everything, and "click here" to pick a body shop. I didn't even have to advocate for myself with them, or fight, they just took care of it. They paid for all the damage and a rental while it was being fixed. They were so much better to me than my own insurance company, so I asked for a quote from Nathan and turns out State Farm could cover my car insurance for slightly cheaper, more coverage, and 1/4 the deductible costs. I switched right away. Ultimately, State Farm treated me better than my own insurance, even when I wasn't their client! And, it's easy to reach a real person, which is not true for Progressive. Today, as timing would have it, a tire blew out and I needed a tow. State Farm made it so easy to use the roadside assistance, my tow truck arrived quickly, and the claim took only a couple minutes to fill out. A year ago, I had a roadside assistance claim with Progressive which was difficult, just like my accident experience was difficult. Very happy I switched to State Farm.

They literally gave me the wrong address to their location as well as mistyped my email address so I wasn't getting correspondence. They do not know what they are doing and I provided more information to them from their website than they had in the office.
