Although language was spoken in English, he kept asking what ethnicity I was. When he asked so many questions, I answered but he cut me off when I had a questions. I told him that I was watching for 1 hour and 20 min but he cut me off twice and did not want to acknowledge it or apologize about it. He was busy writing down all the notes from my previous doctor and facing the computer the whole time. It was in a office he was sharing with another doctor not in a regular exam room. I asked why I was not in a exam room, he did not answer. Finally he told me none of my symptoms had anything to do with his field of work so I said he does not have to write it down if it's irrelevant, the. He turned around for the first time and threaten me that I should go see someone else and asked do you want to continue to see me or not. He slammed the all the documents on his desk. He should not see the patients with that attitudes or settings. He said if you don't want to wait next time, just do the tele health. At the time, I was speechless so without arguing, I just left but I should have said something about his racist comments and his threats. I do not recommend anyone to see him. He should quit seeing patients now.

We took my dad to emergency room in hope that he would be seen and given all the exams needed. He was diagnosed with cancer. Terrible clinic -- avoid if you care about your loved ones…read more Our experience here during a cancer crisis was beyond frustrating. Dr. Kim, the oncologist, showed zero compassion -- he rolled his eyes when we told him this was our first referral after the diagnosis and offered no helpful information beyond saying surgery was urgent. He claimed he submitted a referral, but a week later we learned it hadn't been sent. No apology -- just a late submission to a surgeon who doesn't even accept new patients. We found a qualified surgeon ourselves and requested a new referral, only to be stonewalled by the authorizations department with excuses like "it'll take 7 days," blaming insurance (which confirmed approvals take minutes). No call back from the doctor. Phones go unanswered. Office feels chaotic and unprofessional. In a time when every day matters, they cost us nearly two weeks. Stay away from this clinic -- especially if time, care, and communication matter.

I never wanted to write this. But as someone who has sworn an oath in my federal role and is bound…read moreby strict standards of compliance and integrity, I have a legal and moral obligation to speak up. The Oncology Institute (TOI) failed my family and that's putting it mildly. A suspicious mass identified earlier this year was met with same day canceled appointments, delayed referrals, and no follow ups.. I not only became a full time caregiver for my loved one, I was now forced to take over TOI's administrative responsibilities: making calls, chasing authorizations, tracking down labs, coordinating between facilities. That is not the job of a family member. That's the clinic's job, and they failed. Because of this negligence, the cancer has spread and terminal. The fallout wasn't just emotional. I've lost income and have had to decline federal job assignments to manage the mess they created. While TOI hides behind California's malpractice caps and legal protections, this is no longer just a state issue. The failures here rise to a level that demands federal oversight. Formal complaints will be filed. I refuse to stay silent while others risk going through the same. I will pursue every legal remedy available to ensure this organization is held financially and ethically accountable for the harm it caused.

The wait is ridiculous. Every single appointment I have had seems to make no difference on the wait…read moretime. I typically wait 2-3 hours each time I come in for my appointment. I have tried changing the day and time of my appointments, but I always seem to have to wait for extended periods of time. Then I am seen by the doctor for about 5 minutes and he never seems to remember me as his patient. He also googles the answer to my questions. It's frustrating to know that I have to spend all day waiting in the crowded waiting area just so the doctor can get paid (He has literally stated that I have to make these appointments so he can get paid even though we are just monitoring the effects of a medication through blood work). I know I have a pretty rare blood disorder, but I wish I could just monitor my status through lab results, skip the visit and just send them a check in the mail. Though the staff is nice, it is not enough to compensate for the horrendous wait time and insignificant encounter with Dr. Steven Wong.

I went and had my infusion and my insurance told me that it's not going to cost me anything and when I went there, they told me that there is a copayment. I told them no my insurance says there's not they said if you don't pay then you can't get the infusion so I paid and I was right and they owe me the money. Cannot get in touch with anyone only get overseas customer service that has not helped. They can't speak to me I've tried to reach the corporate office and they bring me back to the overseas customer service. I did finally speak to somebody in July who told me that it should be there the check should be here in two weeks again it is now October 20 25 and I did speak to somebody the other day at corporate office who said that they were sending it out I got a check for $15 not for 75. She has also been a huge advocate for my care and has been the only Doctor who returns my calls. Also, a huge shout out to Diane who helped me to get an appointment for an MRI in a week at another location versus having to wait a month at the location I was referred to. She really helped to expedite the process so I could begin receiving treatment in a more timely manner. She even called me to let me know the positive results of my MRI as soon as they were available to her, which is important during these trying times. Thank you so much for all your time, effort, and compassion.
