Definitely get the parking pass ($15), totally worth it especially if you have a young kiddo like we did. Parking and the event is in a grassy field. We packed water, snacks, blankets and even clothes to change when it warmed up in the afternoon. We planned to stay for the morning balloons and the afternoon balloons so we were prepared. The balloons were so cool. And we were really close. They also did tethered balloon rides and balloon flights for purchase. There were plenty of food stands , drinks areas and vendors. There was also a kids area with shows, bounce houses and hay bails for chilling. They only had porta-potties but never had to wait in line. They also do a night glow and for $2 you could walk inside a balloon getting inflated. This was such a fun family-friendly event with great photo opps. There were a lot of people but never felt overly crowded. We will be making this a family tradition!

Today the market had seven or eight vendors w/a nice variety represented. Farm 430 specializes in all organic, homemade jellies, salsas, honey, and fruit/veggie delivery service. Today I tried her peach jelly and I swear, I was gonna pull a 'Joey' and eat the entire jar w/a spoon. Cloves, all spice, cinnamon, peaches, 'GOOOOD'. Pumpkin butter is coming soon!!! God bless fall. There is a vendor w/all natural, family farm raised beef and bison. They also bring in some really nice seafood. Another vendor has great produce at ridiculously low prices. Fresh breads and artisan cheeses rounded out the bunch. Certainly not a big Farmer's Market, but it feels welcoming & quaint and the quality stands out. Unlike the local flea market (I hear the banjoes), this little roadside attraction is a gem. We visited on a Sunday which they fo not offer tours this day as they are only open from 12-6pm. It was raining but around 1pm it died down and we found our way to the Vineyard. Arrived around 2pm and man was it Alive! They had a food truck located towards the front of the entrance. I did not go see what food they had. There was a live band playing with plenty of seating under the trees close to the band. There is also front porch seating as well as two covered off side patio with plenty of tables to choose from as well. They sell lots of red, white and wine slushies. They also offer waters, sodas and sparkling water as well. They do not have food. They offer chips, charcuterie boards, popcorns and different types of nuts. We opted for a pre packaged charcuterie board with two wine slushies and a glass of Dry Rose. The ambiance was everything. It was such a nice day out. Cooler out especially after it rained but things were dry since the sun had been out. Around 4pm it did start raining but rather than people leave, they gathered under the roof to enjoy their wine and view the rain. Honestly very peaceful. Employees were super friendly and efficient. No troubles at all. Plenty of parking to choose from. For this being located in Troutman, such a nice Vineyard and I def. Will be back.

I enjoy Halloween themed haunted houses and trails immensely and attend those types of events annually. My family and I were impressed as soon as we arrived at the location, which is both scenic and colorful with the lighted quarry accompanied along with a running waterfall. Everything is extremely well organized from the ticketing, snack bar, restrooms, and trail. I had the pleasure of speaking with a scare actor dressed as a witch while waiting to enter the trail and this person did a phenomenal job. Once my family members and I embarked on our journey via the haunted trail we were startled by all kinds of scare actors in various sets from houses, slides, psychedelic tunnels, busses, cornfields, and plenty of scare actors chasing us with chain saws. It was incredible. I can't wait to take my son with me next year!

We were on the front row center this time and loved it! The actors in this production were spot on and I loved the OCT adaption of the book/movie. The comedic moments had us laughing, but the serious moments were quite powerful in this intimate setting, and even though I knew the story, found myself leaning towards the stage waiting to see what was next! Visit the website for upcoming plays and patronize this precious hometown gem, you won't be disappointed! There is local artwork for sale in the lobby and light refreshments offered as well for reasonable prices. For every play I've attended at least part of the cast is mingling with the patrons following the play and I just adore that!
