To this day, I can say it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Dr Nguyen got my Little ones acid reflux under control, which allowed her (and me) to sleep longer stretches at a time. I was only trying to give the staff member enough information to understand why I was calling. Instead, she told me that I was talking too much and wasting her time, and that next time I shouldn't talk so much. I was honestly shocked and very upset by the way she spoke to me. In my past experiences with doctor's offices, staff usually ask what the problem is and why I need an appointment, so I thought I was doing the right thing. The doctor may be good, but the way this staff member treated me was extremely rude and made me feel very uncomfortable.

The final straw was my son being sick for over six weeks with severely swollen tonsils. Despite multiple visits and two rounds of antibiotics, there was no improvement and no proactive follow-up. On a third visit, we were sent for an X-ray only to confirm what was already visible. I had to call multiple times to obtain results, a school note, and guidance. Dr. Ha did not personally follow up, and no voicemail was ever left. When I calmly expressed my disappointment with the lack of follow-through, Dr. Ha responded defensively and snapped back rather than addressing the concern. Only after continued insistence was appropriate treatment prescribed--care that should have been provided earlier. Pediatric care should be attentive, responsive, and respectful. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience, and I would not recommend Dr. Ha.

This was my first so I had a lot of questions and concerns and she was always there to help along the way. She uses evidence based practice in her care with Max and I appreciate that. It's not difficult to make an appointment with her or her team either. We are usually in and out of there when we come in. Lastly I wanted to say thank you to Janice O for being such a great nurse. I had some concerns the day prior to my sons surgery and she provided me with education and interventions to mitigate the issue we were having - AND she was even kind enough to check on Max the next day. He still continues to provide us with the best care. The medical care is exceptional, but the office's billing system and front desk management are so disorganized and dishonest that I can no longer remain silent. I feel it is important to warn other parents about the administrative nightmares I have faced here. In October 2025, I brought both of my children in specifically for flu vaccines. I was explicitly told by the office staff that there would be no copay for flu shots. However, during a follow-up visit on January 8th for my eldest child's fever, the front office nurse suddenly claimed I owed a copay for the October visit. When I questioned this, she admitted the mistake and assured me she would remove the charge. Today, I received separate bills for both children with completely conflicting and nonsensical information: For my eldest: They claim I didn't pay the $25 copay for the January visit. This is false. I paid it on the spot, but they now claim that payment was applied to the October flu shot visit because I supposedly "asked a question" to the doctor, which they coded as a full office visit without any prior notice. For my youngest: They are charging a copay for the October flu shot visit. My youngest ONLY received the vaccine and no medical questions were asked, yet they are still demanding a copay and told me to "call my insurance" instead of fixing their own internal error. It is incredibly frustrating to be told one thing in person and then receive a completely different bill months later. The lack of transparency and the office's refusal to take responsibility for their billing errors is unacceptable. It's a shame that such a high-quality doctor is represented by such a disorganized and unprofessional front office. As much as I like the doctor, I cannot recommend this practice due to these dishonest and stressful billing practices. What hurts the most is that I genuinely wanted to support this local practice. Since I have a PPO insurance plan, I don't need a referral and could have easily gone to a local pharmacy or Costco for these flu vaccines. I chose to pay for parking and drive all the way here specifically to support the doctor's business. To be met with such dishonest billing practices and unprofessional excuses in return is deeply disappointing. I will no longer be going out of my way to support a clinic that treats its loyal patients this way.

Unfortunately, through conversation, we learned the entire pediatrics group does NOT allow parents to decide which vaccines we want our child to have, nor do they allow parents to spread them out. To clarify, we are by no means an anti-vax family. We strongly believe in vaccines and modern day medicine, but the fact that OC memorial will "Dismiss" you from their group if you don't follow their vaccine schedule, does not sit well with my family and I.
