This has been by far the worst experience I've had at a pediatricians office. There is absolutely no parking because of construction, I got there 20 min early and ended up being 5 min late because I couldn't find parking. The office is small and dirty, with only a half dividing wall as a means of separating sick and well kids, it's almost comical. I had my two kids with me for my appointment, my 6 week old and my 2.5 year old, my newborn was super fussy and I got caught up soothing her and wasn't able to rapidly complete the paperwork. I was clearly overwhelmed when one of the staff members, i believe she's the office manager began pressing me about not completing the paperwork when I was clearly trying to calm my baby. She even seemed annoyed that I was taking so long and suggested we reschedule, it's already so hard to leave the house with a newborn and a toddler and to have this woman have absolutely no grace or offer any help was beyond me, especially at a pediatricians office. I then asked her if I could just be placed in a room so I could breastfeed (this lobby is TINY and I didn't feel comfortable) and calm the baby so I could get back to the paperwork and she literally said all the rooms were full and they had no room for me yet, I was shocked, it literally made no sense as to why she was in such a rush for me to giver her the paperwork if there was nowhere to put us (mind you, my newborn was screaming at this point). I explained that I had completed the older kids stuff and they could just transfer the majority of the information. Let me tell you, this woman was not having it, every suggestion I made was immediately shut down, she had absolutely no interest in being friendly or helpful. We saw the NP who was nice but at this point I just wanted to go home, it was disappointing that we didn't even get to meet the pediatrician especially as a first time visit to establish care. The experience was overall not great, the only saving grace was that a couple of the front end assistants seemed apologetic about the behavior of this woman (curly hair/Hispanic) but the interaction was so awful and overwhelming especially to a postpartum mom that I won't be returning. I honestly feel bad for those young girls that have to work with her, if this is how she treats parents with crying babies I can't imagine what it's like to work with her. read more

My newborn is a new patient here and out of 3 visits, we didn't see the doctor until the 3rd time. I was very shocked that on our first visit, we were not welcomed by the doctor but a nurse practitioner. I assume she was very busy and hope to see her on our next visit. However, on our second appointment, I saw her sitting down talking to other nurse practitioners while we were waiting for almost an hour for our appointment AND we have to talk to a student. We did not see the doctor but the nurse practitioner AGAIN! Also, I'm sorry but for all 3 visits, I found it very unnecessary to make an appointment if my visits are going to be almost 2 hrs long. YES, 2 HOURS! FEEL OUR FRUSTRATION!! Imagine you are already sleep deprived, exhausted and your baby is fussy at the same time, you have to see a student that will ask you the same questions that the nurse practitioner will be asking again. Doctor won't see you unless the nurse cannot answer your questions. I found this very inefficient and time wasted for both patient and doctor. We were hoping the time and service would be better but no, every appointment is more than an hour wait + talking to a student. Staff are nice but I have no patience to wait that long every time. For older kids might be ok but I wouldn't recommend for your sanity with a newborn there. read more

I been bringing my Child here and its always been a Different New Nurse Practitioner And Student all the time I Have Never Met the Pediatrician Once and i don't think thats right , Also the receptionist is so rude and doesn't welcome you with a greeting i am so disappointed because i want the best for my daughter, not always someone asking her the same questions every Visit !! If I can give 0 stars, I would. 1. They are very inconsiderate, my child was extremely sick and I came in and they had me sitting in the room waiting to be seen for 2 hours, just to be greeted by a nurse practitioner. Every single time I've gone in I've only ever seen the nurse practitioner. I've also always waited a minimum of 30 mins in the room waiting to be seen. 2. They administered all my daughter's vaccines 6 months late. She was very behind on her vaccines because they couldn't get us in for appointment for the appropriate time. 3. Terrible receptionist. The receptionist is not only not friendly, but extremely rude. I don't understand why you're a receptionist when your whole job is to be friendly to patients. 4. They left a scar on my daughter's leg after administering one of her vaccines very aggressively. 5. They will turn you away if you're within your grace period. I showed up 4 mins after my appointment time and they told me I would have to reschedule even though there is a 15 mins grace period, but they have no issue not respecting my time every single time I've gone in. Do yourself a favor and find a different doctor's office that actual respect your time and cares about your child. read more

My advice? Keep looking for another pediatrician... Made my appointment after switching insurance plans and was very disappointed in my overall experience. I was hoping to establish a good relationship with our children's pediatrician. A honest, trusting, and supportive one that all parent craves with their child's healthcare provider. First of all, I never saw Dr. Tandon the entire appointment even though my son was a new patient and my first assumption was that Dr. Tandon would want to see and meet a new patient to establish care and leave a good impression. I get it, doctors are busy... but at least make it a priority to see new patients. Or at least a friendly greeting. Instead, on my way out I was approached by Dr. T questioning me on why I wanted to delay vaccines. I felt very uncomfortable given I was in the waiting room and there were people around me that I did not want to hear our conversation. That's a conversation for inside the patient room. I felt insecure and somewhat embarrassed since the front desk attendant was sitting right there listening. Am I not allowed to have questions about the status quo? I felt like a bad parent for going against her wishes. That was unprofessional. She did tell that I would have to pay for every additional vaccine injection appointment I made, okay? Sure. If that's what I have to do. I know plenty of conventional doctors who are willing to work with the parents and see a nurse for the injection. Most doctors don't even do their own vaccines anyways. That was my only interaction with her so I feel it is very clear she does not want me or my children back in her practice. In addition to all this, I had to ask for my sons percentiles, weight, height etc. None of this was given or discussed with me in the overall appointment. Aren't two month wellness appointments all about these stats? Also, I'm learning that it is common for offices to prefer you not to throw your diapers away in their office.. but I still find it odd that there are no designated trash bins for diapers in a doctors office that caters to the health and well being of children. This office is not for me, and if you are looking for a good relationship with your child's doctor, probably not for you either. read more

Well, lets start from the moment you walk in the staff at the front desk is very friendly they always have a smile on their face. They always get me in and out very quickly. I've been coming to this office for many years and I bring both my boys here. My oldest is always in need of referrals and follow-up appointments and I get those with in days. Bertha has been my life saver when I misplace my referral, she always get me the information I need. Dr. Tandon always looks after my boys and always has the best interest in them. If your looking to bring your children to this Doctor prepare yourself for a 2 hour wait at the very least even if its a first thing in the morning appt. I went here 3 different times with my kids and was in the office for at least 2-3 hours before being seen. Very unorganized staff and the ladies who work at the front deal are extremely rude and could care less what's going on around them or the wait for their patients. Dr. Tandon is ok but during the whole 2-3 hour experience she only sees you for maybe 5 minutes and asks you dumb questions like " do you place ur infant in a car seat" or " do you out soda in your baby's bottle". This review is mainly regarding the staff of Dr. Tandon. My son was seen today in the office and My husband had requested a school note for my son to be excused for the days that he missed due to being ill. His school is very picky on what the note needs to say. The just request that the school note be specific on dates and reason, which is exactly what my husband explained to the staff. The gave my husband a school note that was not properly dated or detailed in why he missed, they misspelled quite a few words in the note. I contacted the office and spoke with Nitin (not sure how to spell his name) he was rude and unprofessional kept interrupting while I was trying to explain the reason I was calling, He just kept saying that's our office policy that's our office policy. So I asked to speak to the office manager and Sandy came on the line. She was rude because she had already spoke to Nitin. I asked if they can properly excuse my son for the dates he missed and she said NO it's our office policy we can't do that. I then told sandy Dr. Tandon ok for a note to excuse him for the days he missed she said NO Dr. Tandon would NEVER do that. She then went on and said Its our office policy and there is nothing I can do she was just rude and unprofessional for an office manager. Did not want to help in any way. I will NEVER be taking my son back to this office the staff ALONE just never smile and are always so uptight everytime we go in. I regret every choosing this Dr's office to be my sons Primary Care Physician. You work in healthcare put on a smile and be nice. Best Pediatrician in Orange County! She has been my twins (a boy & a girl) pediatrician since they were born back in 2000. She's extremely dedicated to her patients and spends time helping each and every one of them. Her staff is not only welcoming but competent as well.
