When the day of surgery finally arrived, I felt calm, educated and prepared. Dr. Castro is a surgeon master. I was up walking within hours and sitting in a movie theater the next day. Since starting my adventure I have lost 56 lbs, 23 of which was within the first 14 days of post op. I am well on my way towards my goal of 85 total pounds. Initial paperwork was claimed to have not been received; Completed for a 2nd time but had to reschedule 2). TWO (2) appointments for the initial consultation was rescheduled and cancelled 3). I paid the consultation fee over the phone after my insurance was verified. I was contacted by "Janet" 1 week later and told: "You need to pay an additional $180 because I misquoted you the consultation fee" 4). 24 Hours before the 3rd consultation attempt, I was contacted and told that my original insurance had expired and that I needed to provide them with my new insurance. I stated I would call back in 45 - 1hour as I was at work going into a meeting. I called back in 20 minutes instead with my new insurance provided by my NEW EMPLOYER 3 TIMES AND LEFT MESSAGES EACH TIME FOR A CALL BACK - CALL BACK NEVER HAPPENED! NOTE: During my leaving messages, my appointment was cancelled and rescheduled within this time frame via TEXT MESSAGE 4). Day of my appointment (today @ 2:00pm), I am sitting in the virtual consultation waiting for Dr. Kukreja. At 2:15pm I received a TEXT MESSAGE FROM JANET asking to call the office. Janet (very aloof as always) stated that my appointment has been cancelled because of the expired insurance. I told her that I have new insurance through my new employe but I was very taken aback by sitting in the virtual room waiting for 15 minutes for the Consultation that I already paid for. I also explained to her that all she needs to do is check the office voicemail and she could then verify that I left 3 message. Janet stated (in her usual, could careless, ALOOF tone) that she "had no knowledge of the voice messages" and continued to ask for my new insurance information. Ultimately, I spent an additional 10 minutes asking Janet: "Why should I continue with the service if this is how a potential patient is treated during the consultation phase? What would change once I am a new patient? I found her unresponsive in her bedroom last Tuesday morning and I did not hesitate to send her to BSW. I remember that the EMTs asked why I wanted to take her there, but I just automatically said I have heard they are the best. I WAS WRONG - at least in the realm of mental health issues. You will lose all rights to your loved one if you get BSW involved. Yesterday, my review went from 5 to 1. My aunt was abused by my father-in-law in Richmond, Virginia and I figured it out based on my aunt selling her home in West Virginia (which she would never have done unless something was wrong). I went to Virginia, helped her get away from an abusive caregiver, and she was doing so well here in Ft. Worth getting stronger and better so she could return to all of her friends in West Virginia (where she has lived for 88 years). The BSW physiatrist said that with all the Doctors we were using to help get her stronger, she may have had a trigger with something that happened and she was reliving the trauma. She was in a catatonic state and with low dosages of benzodiazepines, she would come out and then with the reduced anxiety, she could work on what happened. My aunt was doing great and suddenly, yesterday, I was told that my aunt could make her own medical decisions, she had revoked my HIPPA rights, and I could not be in the room whenever any of her care was discussed. And BSW was so nasty that they brought two BWS police to stand outside her room while they told me that I could no longer be involved in her care. I have cared for her every day since she got out of her abusive situation. I was shocked and didn't really know what to do. I have no idea what is going on. My Aunt lives with me, but I now have no idea even where she is. It is like they have kidnapped my aunt by giving her mind-altering drugs and saying that she can now make her medical decisions, but she can't even get out of the bed to go to brush her teeth. I found out through other people that they want her to go to an In-house rehabilitation facility and be returned to West Virginia to go to a nursing home, which is EXACTLY what we were working on doing. Except, we were waiting for an assisted living facility because she just needs help with a few daily tasks. Now, I guess they have her so drugged that she can make her own medical decisions, but she needs to get stronger so she can go to a nursing home in West Virginia. Do not go to this hospital if you are concerned about a loved one's mental health. They are horrible. I was the one person who went to her defense when she was being abused and then BSW got hold of her and now I guess she is going to be a ward of the State of Texas because I am her only living relative and I know she loves West Virginia. They have known her for 4 days, have her on mind altering drugs but she can make her own medical decisions. The plan that they are working on behind my back is exactly what we were working on providing and we were just waiting on a room to become available at the Assisted Living facility. My aunt, in her right mind, knows all of this. If she doesn't remember, then she is not able to make her own medical decisions. BUT I CAN'T BE A PART OF MAKING IT HAPPEN. This hospital is the reason people with possible mental health issues should stay away or your family will not be able to help you get the help that you need. They will turn your family against you, scare you with police officers as they tell you to get away from your family member that you are asking for help with. PLEASE, PLEASE do not go here. You will have your heart broken and you will lose a person that you love. Please do not go to this hospital.

I am one that has had five different breast argumentation's in the past by different board-certified plastic surgeons. And he just made me look like a brand new person. This practice is terrible. I would highly encourage anybody to go elsewhere. There care about…read morenothing but money. They are not inclusive of the spouse and may zero accommodations for you to see or support your spouse. The communication is terrible and they did not even explain to my wife the medication she was supposed to use, which resulted in her almost taking blood thinners long after she was supposed to stop. She had complications with retaining water and they won't explore other options, but merely drain her three times a week. Texas is a large state with very qualified professionals, just go elsewhere, you will be thankful you did. This place was an awful experience and I would never recommend it.
