I recently had a new patient consultation with Dr. Rai. Overall, I was very impressed with his bedside manner. Unfortunately, his office does not prescribe pain medication. I'm by no means a drug seeker, but have been on a drug that has worked with me for the past decade. Dr. Rai was very professional and honest about his inability to help me switch from my current pain management provider and have him continue my medication. He did make sure that my co-pay was refunded before I left the office. While, he could not help me, I do have respect for him since he was straightforward and honest. I do wish they would be more upfront about their practice's inability to prescribe controlled pain medication so that others know ahead of time. read more

Dr Hayee and his team are the best I could imagine. I've been a patient for over 10 years and to this day, Dr Hayee and the nursing staff, front staff, etc go above and beyond to support me. It's not easy having spinal pain but their caring and personal approach makes it much more bearable. Worst office staff ever! in Frisco The office manager told me she did not care what happed to my 18 year old. Told me she would call her back and never did. Started a very painful procedure they knew they would never had time to finish before she left for school. So she only partially got through the diagnostic testing. Whenever ask a question the office staff had no idea how to answer and would not even try to get an answer. read more

My first consultation with Dr Rai was horrible. He is very impersonal & the fact that he kept rolling his eyes as I was talking was unbelievably rude. I came back anyway, got my 1st injection, everything went fine, did not see him at all. Came back for my second injection & my blood pressure was too high to do the injection, I told him I had high anxiety at the first visit & he told me that if he found xanax in my system while I was taking hydrocodone, I would be finding myself another dr...2 nurses at the second injection attempt told me to go to the hospital immediately. He walked in the room & said in a very accusatory tone, where did I get Xanax & I said my pcp. He said you need to see a psychiatrist & walked out of the room while my bp was 210/105 I called their office to see if I could see someone else, they called me back & said Dr Rai would like to talk to me. I called back & asked them to return my call, never heard back. I do not recommend Dr. Rai, he didn't listen, didn't care & he is not a nice man. read more

Worst experience of my life. I stuck with Dr. Rai for a year bc I was getting so many benefits from the ketamine treatment I was receiving . However, he never listened or took the time to focus on my concerns. Per office staff (who were quitting left and right) the doctor was taking on entirely too many patients. He would work on other patients charts during my appointment and I had to remind him every single time as to what issues we were treating. I highly recommend avoiding Dr. Rai at all costs. read more

I'm dealing with their customer service at the checkin and checkout at the front. 1-they look like they really hate their job and could care less about patients who are in severe pain. 2-Apparently "per Medicare", ALL injections with sedation are to pay $150 co-pay up front. My physician is Dr. Abdul Hayee. I find him to be very attentive and compassionate and he listens to my concerns. He has treated me for back and neck pain over several years. He is knowledgeable and always finds a solution for my pain. In addition, I got TMS for the treatment of pain and anxiety. I was reserved about this treatment, however I found that it helped me tremendously. They also have what is called stretching RX. Again relatively new but it has helped me. These classes are held in Southlake and Frisco. This program was covered by my insurance. All of the staff in Flower Mound, Frisco and Southlake are excellent. My primary location for care is Flower Mound. The staff is friendly and kind. They always get my prescriptions called out on time and are quick to return phone calls. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Hayee especially in this day and time when it is hard to find an excellent Physician and staff. Kudos Pain and Spine Management. Oh! I have a condition that prohibits me from taking any NSAID. I sought out Dr. Jon Vu at FM Pain to find a solution to that and it was found. The solution required occasional visits to them. In the midst of this, I began Medicare and subscribed to the Care-N-Care policy. That brings me to the last visit. They do not take Care-N-Care and wanted to charge $400 cash for the visit, includes meeting a medical professional and a routine test. I disagreed with their conclusion and I left. I will not be back. read more

Awesome doctors and nurses who care about the patients they are taking care of. The only reason they get 4 stars is their back office is not good. Everything from setting appts to billing can be a hassle. Trying to get a call back is a nightmare. AGAIN love the awesome Doctors and nurses here but back office still needs some work. read more

Dr. Vu and the PA/MA staff is great. The admin staff and whoever gets prescriptions sent out are horrible. They have cancelled appointments on short notice; I can only come in certain days because work takes me out of town. So if I don't come in and they were going to write an Rx, I have to wait another week to get it because that can't do anything quickly as a result of their scheduling problems. I have left several messages on the Rx line and no one returns my calls. I know they won't do 24-hr turn around on any Rx, but when their schedule conflicts put me behind, they don't seem to realize they are affecting my health. I had to switch pharmacies recently because the one they recommended got bought out and no longer orders what I take. When I called in my Rx request, I gave them the name, address, and phone number of my new pharmacy and they still sent it to the wrong place. I went in to get a written script, like I told them I would if they didn't send it to the correct pharmacy and they kept me waiting when they could have easily sent it to the pharmacy I asked them to use in the first place. That whole front office needs to be cleaned out. Customer service has gone downhill in the last year. If patients are in chronic pain and trying to work within the system you set in place, you can't mess around with their medications. I've done everything they've asked me to (changed appts several times) and they just can't get it together. If only I had to deal with just the medical staff... read more

I have been visiting Flower Mound Pain and Spine with my mother to get her treatments for pain. For the last year I have been extremely irritated at how rude some of the front desk staff is, and how slow is to see the doctor, or how inept are some people to put prescriptions in. I have mentioned this concerns to the doctors, but nothing has changed until last week. Last week it was completely different, I went with my mother to one of her appointments, and we got the pleasure to have been received by a new medical assistant. I think his name is Carlos, he was incredibly good, he was so considerate and caring for my mom, and he even came to check on me. He made sure we were well taken care of, and was very polite and gentle with my mother. Finally the doctors made some changes in their staff. I will now request that mom gets taken care of by this nice gentleman. Kudos Flower Mound Pain. read more

Been dealing with on going lower back pain for almost 6 years now, so many doctors were telling me oh well and just wanting to cut me open. Dr Vu has conducted several tests and procedures and overall glad I didn't get the surgery previous docs have recommended, although I'm in the process of getting surgery it will not be as major and a lot less invasive. I've been to the same spine surgeon for 12 years but when she, Dr. Melanie Battle Kinchen lost her ethics and "butchered" my last back surgery, number 4, I searched for opinions of other Spine Physicians. Dr. Abdul Hayee, is by far the worst opinion anyone can imagine!!! His advice to me, as I sit listening with great HOPE for relief of my excruciating pain and the deformity Dr. Kinchen of 360 Back and Spine left me in was...GET THIS !!! to go back to her because he said it was her book that was 3/4 written and now I was asking him to finish writing the other 1/4... This doctor seems to be a good physician, it's a shame that his off staff is lazy and rude. You can leave voicemail after voicemail for these people and they never return your call. It's not until you call and try to make a new appointment, that anyone will help you. On top of that, they charge you $25 to get copies of your medical records. I've already found a new provider that has a competent office staff. read more

I've been using Dr Vu for two years for chronic back pain caused by degenerative disc disease and arthritis and have been extremely pleased. He answers all questions thoroughly, lets me know what is and is not a necessary procedure, stays on track and keeps appointments running smoothly and in a timely manner. I've seen improvement compared to the care received from my former physician. His techniques are current and he targeted what he believes is the most effective method of treating my condition. By following his advice and being under his care my quality of life has improved considerably. He and his staff are very friendly and I haven't experienced any billing issues between his office and Disability either. It doesn't take long from the time I arrive for my appointment until I'm walking out the door with a completed procedure. My previous Dr took hours and multiple appointments to accomplish less. Pain management doctors of all doctors should have more compassion for people dealing with true chronic pain. How can you specialize in treating chronic pain and then act like all pain is psychosomatic? I appreciate the efforts to treat my pain in a multitude of ways, not just throwing narcotics at it. They have tried a variety of different options from creams, to slow release anesthetics. But when Dr. Conn left the practice in 2014 and I became pregnant in the same month, they first refused to keep treating me all together. Then begrudgingly continued to see me as a patient, but with a new (unwarranted) attitude of 'drug seeker'. The office manager, (I think her name was Jill?), gave me the worst and most humiliating experience shortly after. I called for a refill of my low dose narcotics well after my prescription refill date (i.e. taking less than prescribed) and well within the lines of the treatment set out for me by them. The conversation lasted about 15 minutes. First she outright refused my refill. Then she said it would take a few weeks and only IF the doc approved it, and after all the back and forth with her she got downright nasty about it. She actually said, 'why do you need a refill, are you even REALLY in pain'? I hung up crying and humiliated. I called later and made an appointment with Dr. Vu and told him all about the phone call and how I was treated. While he didn't also treat me like an addict, he didn't much seem to care that the nurse treated me that way. He acted like this was both normal and acceptable. He said he would 'look into it'. I wish they had recorded the phone call so he could hear for himself. I never received even an apology. I can understand an obvious junky going in there with made up symptoms and getting this kind of treatment. But I have a documented history of pain and no history of abuse on my medications. I have never run out of my rx early. I have never doubled up rx's from different docs. I have never broken my pain contract in any way whatsoever. I can do everything the right way and I am still treated like a criminal and a junky. It really is just salt in the wound when dealing with life in chronic pain. As if life isn't hard enough... I have come to expect this treatment with other doctors. People just don't seem to understand chronic pain and don't know how to treat it. But for a clinic specialized in dealing with pain management, more sensitivity and care should be taken. They only get 2 stars (instead of 1) for their multitude of treatment efforts previously. It gives me a little hope that we will eventually find a treatment regimen that works. read more

Dr. Vu and Ms Brown refuse to take phone calls as a matter of policy. You can pass a message along to them and they will then give an answer to be given back to the patient by some person in the office. The communication is always so mangled that it does more harm than good. Dr. Vu doesn't seem to understand that there is a valid reason for something in between an office visit and the emergency room. It's his business and he can do what he wants, to quote his arrogant office manager. They have no compassion for people in pain when it doesn't fit their schedule and policy. And yes Ms Office Manager, I did raise my voice after you cited me all your office policies and refused to help me. I will find a Doctor that is good both technically and actually cares about people in pain and not just during scheduled office visits. read more

I have found Dr. Hayee to be very knowledgeable about pain management. I have severe pain in my SI joints, and he has been able to pinpoint my pain and we have a management plan that has included several treatment options: injections, Physical therapy, medication, surgery, etc. Dr. Hayee has always given me the time needed at my appointments to listen to me and explain everything and answer my questions. I've been seeing Dr. Hayee for several years with chronic severe back pain, although he and Mrs. Brown are extremely nice and I've never had a problem with any of the staff, i have to say that my pain is legitimately not being managed. I literally had to cry and beg for him to order a MRI that would show my mid and lower back, i called and begged for like 3 days bc Dr.Hayee said he was only treating me for lower back so he wouldn't order a mri on my thoracic spine. Thankfully by the grace of God (by the power of prayer) i FINALLY got him to order the thoracic and lumbar spine, only to discover that i have a sprinx on my thoracic spine along with many bulged disc and severe curvature. I love all the folks there at flower mound pain, but i wish that i felt more compassion from my Dr bc i cry every night in severe pain. I can't do things i want to with my 2 year old son to enjoy my life. I know he's not God but i really wish he could get my pain under control! I hope he understands that this review isn't meant to detor anyone from seeing him, bc he really is a good Dr and i know he's probably doing the best he can for me, and maybe there really is nothing else that can be done, maybe I'll just be in pain the rest of my life... read more
