I do not even know where to begin. I chose Dr. Obaid after having five different consultations with five different board-certified plastic surgeons in the Dallas metroplex area. He was the one I felt most comfortable with. His nurses Angie and patient coordinator Melissa Have been there for me from the very beginning with any questions that I had. I scheduled my surgery two months out. And the morning of Dr. Obaid came in there and drew on me and all the nurses and anesthesiologist were very nice kind and considerate. Dr. Obaid may not be the cheapest, and who knows if he's the most expensive but you pay for what you get. He truly is a master at what he does- he is an artist. I am one that has had five different breast argumentation's in the past by different board-certified plastic surgeons. And he just made me look like a brand new person. My body looks amazing and I can't be any happier and I'm healing very well. If you're wondering what all I had done I had a mommy makeover as well as bodytite to the moms area with liposuction. And liposuction 360, also I had liposuction and bodytite to my chin area and liposuction and bodytite to my arms. Basically I had the works done and he did a fantastic job!!!! Also wanted to give a huge shout out to Lisa in the OR my overnight nurse she was fantastic and that's not even the best word that I can use for her ,because there was no one else that could have put up with me every five minutes needing something without getting frustrated or annoyed. I thought I was sleeping for 2 to 3 hours every single time I went to sleep in the recovery room but really it was just for five minutes and then I would wake up needing something else. This practice is terrible. I would highly encourage anybody to go elsewhere. There care about nothing but money. They are not inclusive of the spouse and may zero accommodations for you to see or support your spouse. The communication is terrible and they did not even explain to my wife the medication she was supposed to use, which resulted in her almost taking blood thinners long after she was supposed to stop. She had complications with retaining water and they won't explore other options, but merely drain her three times a week. Texas is a large state with very qualified professionals, just go elsewhere, you will be thankful you did. This place was an awful experience and I would never recommend it. read more

I was told I could visit my wife post-op as long as it was before 9 pm, and that someone would call around 7:30 to go over discharge information. Nobody ever called, so I headed up to visit my wife. I got here at 8 pm. Nobody in the lobby. The doors are locked. The phone goes straight to a recording. Even pressing the urgent but not an emergency option sends you to voicemail (that says they check it twice a day). Knocking did nothing. It took me 45 minutes to get here only to be locked out with no way of contacting anyone inside, waiting around for over half an hour outside, and then another 45 minutes heading back home. So in the end, after her surgery, I wasn't even able to check on my wife and see how she is doing. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

I went in for an ectoplasm for both ears. The first time, my right ear was great, but my left one popped back out. I went in again, and the surgeon pretty much sewed it to my head. I couldn't even get my hair behind my ear. Considering I had to pay for each of these, I went in for a third time with the head surgeon, and it's the same! Oh where to start! Disappointed and really wanted to have a consistent plastic surgeon but sadly as he expanded more less the quality and feeling of care. 2011- 1st encounter with Dr. Obaid. Great personality, face to face consults, small office next to central market in south lake. Breast lift with implants- Was happy with results- after care and follow was great 2014- tummy tuck and bbl Was barely staring to expand but still had someone good patient/doctor relationship 2015-BBL revision bc there was too much fat (fat aggression) in one area which which lead to a gap and caused Seroma.. he also said I could start working out 3 weeks after so that didn't help. Have a horrible back scar now because he lifted also has Multiple visits to get rid of the seroma. Did not see him in person for initial consult but did see him before surgery. Have not been happy with this procedure since then. 2023- breast implant exchange and lift Did not see him until surgery day- paid more for him to do the surgery, felt like he didn't even remember me and was just a money cow. Lost a nipple, I had to follow up on Klara to see when my appointments were, and wasn't even told when to start using scar cream or anything. Super disappointed Went to get a several second opinions on the droopy butt and uneven breasts with missing nipple. Basically- my butt was over extended like tendons and will never look the same. My breasts have ro be reconstructed with new implants to fit my chest because they are too high and there are pockets under leaving extra skin! And I've had a lift! You would think he would recommend this in the first place if he was a good doctor. But he didn't see me before and was just interested in money. It was my fault for being loyal to his work and continuing to go to him after the 1st error. Concerns Regarding Breast Augmentation Procedure and Warranty Issues I hope this review helps, and I recommend checking getting a 2nd opinion, I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and frustration regarding my experience with north Texas plastic surgery and Dr Obaid, regrading the breast augmentation procedure I underwent in April 2019. During my initial consultation, I clearly communicated my desire for a specific size range (large C, small D) for the breast implants. We went through several options to determine the appropriate size for my body, and I trusted their expertise of the medical professionals at the clinic. However, upon waking up from the procedure, I was shocked to learn that a much larger implant (DDs) had been placed without my consent. Despite expressing my concerns to Dr. Obaid, I was dismissed and told to accept his professional opinion. I felt disregarded and pressured to be content with the outcome, despite it not aligning with my wishes. I underwent several complications over the next six months. The Dr Obaid mentioned in these reviews is definitely not the doctor experience received, nor the bedside manner. Fast forward to the present, less than 3 1/2 years later, and the implanted has ruptured. I understand that the implant company has filed for bankruptcy, raising questions about the quality and safety of the products used in my procedure. Something I had to find out on my own, and during a second opinion. Additionally, I am deeply troubled by the discrepancies regarding the warranty coverage for additional surgical fees. Initially, I was informed that I maybe eligible for an implant exchange warranty ($800 per implant), but that was not guaranteed. During my initial consultation in 2019, I was also advised that should something go wrong, I would have warranty coverage for implants AND the surgical cost. However, upon now having an issue North Texas plastic surgery confirmed I would not have access to such surgical coverage and would be solely responsible for any revision surgery costs - ($11,700). However, upon seeking a second opinion, I discovered that my implants are actually covered by up to a $5000 surgical warranty, in addition to the $800 per implant warranty. Making me eligible for $6,600 in warranty reimbursements. And this was confirmed by the implant rep herself, she also expressed her discussed that North Texas plastic surgery was going to attempt to pocket the surgical warranty reimbursement. The lack of transparency and communication from North Texas Plastic Surgery regarding these warranty terms is unacceptable. I feel misled and deceived, especially considering the potential financial implications of the situation. Furthermore, I was not informed about the recent bankruptcy filing of the implant company, which further exacerbates the urgency of resolving the warranty issues. Meaning, while I've been under the impression I might be eligible for up to $1600 back, there will not be a company much longer to make that claim with. Something that North Texas plastic surgery also withheld. In conclusion, I am deeply disappointed by the lack of honesty and integrity demonstrated by North Texas Plastic Surgery. It was also disheartening to know that there was no accountability to what Dr. Obaid did, and the decisions he made while I was under anesthesia. There was no returning patient discount, there was no mention of."Hey, let's try to make this right for you", even when I was paying in cash for this new procedure. I do recommend if you are to have your surgery done here, that you ask for Dr. Carlson. That is the surgeon that I was recently speaking with, and if it was not for the deception of this group, I would've felt comfortable with him, performing my surgery. I highly recommend going for a second opinion, without it I would've been in the dark, and have have not known my options, and I would've been deceived . I also would've ended up spending an extra $4000 vs the 2nd quote I received from another highly reputable surgeon in Southlake with a surgical center onsite. He's also going to be offering me the $5000 credit back to my surgical fee in addition to the implant warranty. I really felt like he put his patients first, and I would love to see North Texas plastic surgery embracing the same mindset and not trying to deceive their clientele. read more

I had my nose surgery a few years ago. Since then, my nasal cavity has collapsed. I now snore (never did before surgery) and the tip of my nose hangs even lower than it did. I have to have another surgeon fix my nose. I just want to be able to breathe normally again . I'm miserable. read more

I had my BA a little over a month ago with Dr. Obaid. I'm super pleased with my results! My augmentation looks and feels extremely natural, which was my goal. People who know me would probably notice the difference, but anyone else would never guess that I'd had cosmetic surgery. Dr. Obaid and his staff made the whole process easy and seamless, from my initial consultation to surgery and then throughout recovery. Post-surgery, Melissa always responded to my texts extremely promptly to answer all of the questions that popped up. (Yep, even after hours). All of the nurses in his practice are really nice and professional. Everyone makes you feel really comfortable. Dr. Obaid was the only surgeon I met with - although I had additional consults scheduled, after meeting with him I cancelled them all and immediately booked my surgery date before leaving. I'm not sure how their pricing compares to other places, but I felt like the price was affordable and after the fact I'd definitely say it was worth every penny and I'd totally do the whole thing all over again! Recovery was only slightly rough the first couple days, but I was able to return to work 1 week post-surgery. (Probably could have sooner, but I'm a baby and I welcomed the extra time off to take it easy!) The only negative or *semi* drawback is that for my initial consultation, as well as during followup appointments that the wait was a little longer than anticipated. I think it's because they don't rush anyone out the door though, they make sure each patient's questions/concerns are addressed during their appointment time. I first fell in love with Dr. Obaid he was nice and caring. When we finally got approval for my breast reduction. Plus he got approval to remove my extra skin from the weight I had loss. He said we had to breast 1st. I was cool with that, When surgery and healing was over I was left with one flat boob and the side under my armpit was about a handful of skin that looks like a very flat boobs under my armpit. The other boobs is a full a cup A, a nice hand full. However unlike the other side this hand full goes from front to under armpit. So I got smaller boobs with 2 extra boobs under armpits. I was getting sores under my other boobs but no more now I get the sores under my armpit boobs. He said he was going to fix them but he had to wait for my insurance to cover it again. Which I didn't understand my insurance cover it the 1st time and you made this mess but we have to wait till u get approval from my insurance. Can't find a bra to hold these 4 boobs. So it had been a year past and finally got the call he got approval from my insurance but I was in the hospital ICU united because a bad case of the flu. I was put in coma for them to get rid of it faster. But when I was ready 3 months later. I called Dr. Obaid and before he would see me I had to get a lot of blood work and heart text and X rays done. After doing all that I went in the office and Dr. Obaid told me he basically wasn't going to fix the mess unless I loss another 100lbs or come in the office and he give me 25 to 50 shots to numb area and he would cut and fix a little at time but I would have to do that over and over again. I had already losses a lot of weight and there wasn't any way I could go through the inch by inch plan of his. So I am stuck with what he left me been to many other doctors and no one will touch his hack job. So it's been a few years now and my life has way less then it was. I don't remove my top in front of anyone. I don't like them to be touched. My love/sex life with my husband has been slowed to none and if I do sleep with my husband I have to leave my top on. I don't feel sexy or like a woman. My life has gone way down hill since my last visit when they hussled me out of office. This man has total taken my life from me. read more
