    This bread is wonderful

This bread is the best ever...tastes wonderful. Order online..it arrives fresh and soft...zero sugar and low carbs. Perfect for diabetics and keto diets. It is a lifesaver for me as a bread loving diabetic.

We are here on vacation for the week and decided we wanted Jamaican food. It was 5 of us and we arrived at opening time. The two gentlemen inside were very nice and helpful. My husband ordered the oxtails and another person in our group in as well . I ordered the jerk chicken wings and my brother did as well. My sister in law ordered the curry chicken. DELICIOUS food. I was undecided on what drink I wanted and one of the guys gave me a taste of something with a hint of cinnamon and it was super yummy. We really appreciate their customer service and highly recommend this restaurant for all of your Jamaican food cravings. I don't know their names but thank you for an excellent meal experience. I pray your business will always be successful.

Oxtail mini plate with rice and peas and cabbage. So good!

They have a storefront off Bishop Street downtown, and they also have a food truck at Schofield. Finally some great Jamaican food on this island! The storefront is small, but the service was quick, and the food was good! The first time, I had it delivered to my job and ordered the mini ox tail plate. The second time, I went to the store front and got curry chicken with rice and peas, cabbage and mac & cheese. I am so sorry, it was so good it did not make the photo. LOL I also tried the mint lemonade, which was pretty good as well. PLEASE support this new, up and coming business!! Only ask I would have: Get some cocoa bread and some Sorrel and you can have my money! Lol

The oxtail stew is foodgasmic! Go now! We finally made it to this food truck lot on a Friday night. It was around 8 pm and we were surprised to see most of the vendors still open. But we made a beeline for Irie Jerk because we needed to try this oxtail stew. The owner was super nice and friendly. We talked story for a little bit. Such a sweetheart. It too a little while for our order to be ready but omg did it not disappoint. We haven't had this level of amazing Caribbean food on island. Legit oxtail stew with rice and peas. Spicy. Fatty. Tender. Packed with flavor. It was so good. There were a lot of people that started showing up while I was eating. They could all smell my food and asked what it was and where I got it. From the time I ordered until the time I left, there were queues for this delicious stew. We're so glad to finally have a food truck lot in the area. The offerings are amazing. And people started pouring in around 8:30--after walking all over Waikiki. It seemed like this was the spot to be. Highly recommend giving Irie Jerk a try. It's soooo good. Like Caribbean good and Washington D.C./Virginia good. So good. Ambiance wise, it's a good truck lot. Bring your own wipes and napkins to wipe down the tables, etc. Also, barely any street parking. We walked over.

Great food, but I went in at around 3 pm on Friday, June 14th. Never got the cashiers name but the cashier really needs to adjust her attitude. No smile or greeting upon entry, and was bitter the whole time taking my order. If you're having a bad day, sorry about it but don't let it out on paying customers. Her bad energy almost made me turn around and not want to get food from here at all. She was the only person working so I guess since her boss (who generally is always very friendly and pleasant to order from) wasn't around, she feels as if she can get away with acting like an a**hole. Wasn't even busy at all but hey if you can't handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen, the food industry isn't for everyone. Maybe go look for another job else where with such a b****y attitude.

Tried their Oxtail stew and ordered some plantains . Both were delicious and very good. Place does get busy sometimes but they do their best to make sure you get your food out in a timely manner. Good to see a new place to eat in downtown as most places are closing down too soon. Will definitely be back to try more items on their menu. Owners are very nice and have authentic Jamaican food.

Oxtail Stew Plate was on a bed of dirty rice with beans and veggies on the side. Oxtail was so tender fall of the bones and loaded with flavor & a lil bit of spice! Definitely the best oxtail stew I've tried so far! Loved that the oxtails were still whole 'til you touched them! Service was on point, called in to pick up my order and when i arrived it was ready to go. Nice folks, it's located at the executive center on bishop by 7-11. Definitely good relaxing vibes with their shop!

Can only speak for the food truck on Schofield, but I don't think I've ever had such amazing customer service. They hadn't updated their menu, so when what I was looking forward to ordering was no longer available, I was really disappointed. They made up for it with a free yummy drink! My disappointment was quickly gone when I tasted the food... every bite was to die for. Spicy though, so the free drink was very appreciated! The food was awesome, but it wouldn't have been a good experience if it wasn't for the awesome people who served us the food. Keep up the good work guys!

The food here is great. Some items are a bit pricey for lunch (nothing outrageous, $15-$20), but the food quality more than justifies the price. The jerk pork is super spicy! I like the shredded chicken. The cabbage on the side is super tasty, too. What I love most about Irie Jerk is the service/ambiance. The owners are very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate guests. It feels very much like they are welcoming you into their own kitchen. I work on the same block, and look forward to many more lunches from this charming establishment.

Best of all, we get to try so many new delicious local bites! We now look forward to our Thursday dinners! A few weeks ago we had already ordered our dinner at a couple other booths, but while waiting for our meals to be prepared, we took another lap around to plan for our next week's meal haha. I was excited to see a Puerto Rican food truck! It had been so long since we've had Puerto Rican; I was counting the days until we came back lol. I placed my order for the Tripleta sandwich and we took our stroll while waiting for our meal. I asked for no potato stix on my sandwich; personal preference, but I definitely know a lot of people who would've enjoyed the added crunch! It was ready just as we returned about 8 minutes later. Each bite was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and fresh. The bread was divine and soft, the best pair to the symphony of meats and veggies. I will definitely be trying the plantains next time! Along with more of their menu; everything sounds so yummers! For the meat sandwich lovers; the tripleta does not disappoint!!

From what they posted on Instagram I was highly excited to get it but when I received it, the sauce wasn't mixed in with the rice. Also the person running the window was a young person. They weren't being rude but they did seem like they were bored. I ended up paying with a $50 bill for a $28 dish. So my change would have been $22 but instead I ended up getting $12 back. So.....like I said flavor was good. Presentation was disappointing. Service was meh. My overall score to this establishment is 2 out of 5. I won't be coming back because I don't trust the person running the window.

Simple order, #5…read moreone pastele (hot) and gandule rice, 1 small order of pastele stew, and 1 side order of bacalao salad, and 2 pastele lumpia. Hubs picked up the order and brought home lunch. Side note, the last time I ordered the stew/rice combo, it wasn't enough for the Mr, and since there was rice at home, he ordered the stew separate. I was in a meeting, and would enjoy my food after I was done. As I stepped out of my home office, I see hubs hardly at any stew, and I asked him if he was waiting for me to eat. He said no, and told me "if you want the stew, you can have it". Oh no, I know exactly what that means, so I offered him half of my pastele plate. He said no, and he looked bummed out. I knew I would need to reheat my plate, as it sat for 20 minutes before I got to eat it. While I was reheating my plate, I took a bite of his stew. I had to stop and look at the stew and it looked different. So I took another bite. The taste was ok (not like the amazing stew in the past), but the meat had a different texture. One more bite.....that's when I realized and then asked hubs, "Is that ground pork? Is that why it's different?" And he agreed, "that's what it is! ground pork!" The flavor was a bit off too, but the meat made all the difference. My reheated #5 plate was fine, a little bit salty, but just fine, no complaints. Finished up with the pastele lumpia, which was greasy (usually is unless its fresh) and asked hubs about the bill. Well, I understand inflation is a terrible thing for small businesses and consumers, but my jaw dropped when he said it was $50. And he wasn't a happy camper about the price or the stew. -Sigh- I don't give up easily on places I've enjoyed for years, so I will be back, eventually.
