We hired Teppan Legend last minute and they were able to accommodate us for our short turn around time. They were professional, nice, and kind. They set everything up on their own. We had to rush to eat our food because our order (which we had submitted way ahead of time) was late by about 45 minutes, and we were late for meetings. We actually saw the food truck pull up about the same time that we did. Ridiculous... That said, the food was pretty good, if not a bit one-note. This lunchwagon is on Lauwiliwili Street in Kapolei in the newer industrial area, not hard to find, saw the small crowd waiting in line! Everything seems to be made fresh! Today I ordered the garlic shrimp, which had nice, large pieces of headless, shell on shrimp and a fair amount of garlic, and went half garlic fried rice (really tasty) and fried noodles. The fried noodles was really good, like Leeward drive inn/Jurison's good! They also have other items like rib eye steak and grilled items, I will be back to try more. I've been following teppan legend ever since dipped by dee did a collab with them. Their food looked so good on instagram that I had to go try them out. The only problem was they were only out on certain days and they were always on the west side of the island. I finally got to try some of their offerings at the food and new product show. I got the steak and salmon katsu combo and it was so good! The plate itself was about $15 and it didn't take long for the food to come out since it was pretty much prepared ahead of time. They do use NY steak which is a tougher cut for me. I would have preferred a rib eye or something. I also got the opportunity to catch them in pearl city one night. They're parked where they have the same club gas station near Walmart. This was a different experience for me as I went to make the trek there. They had almost everything under the rainbow - steak, lobster, shrimp, fried katsu and more! I ended up getting two plates! One with lobster and steak combo and the other was a salmon katsu. Both of my sides were swapped for either fried rice or garlic noodles. Honestly everything is good and it also takes time. I was even confused with how to order when I got there - only cause there was a bunch of people surrounding the truck. They also call you up to the door of the truck when they're ready to take your order. Oh yea - these two plates came out to about 60$ or so lol! Visited on two occasions while Teppan Legend was parked on Alaloa St (behind Windward Mall). The salmon portions are very large in the 6 to 8 ounce range at least. The Garlic Chicken was great on the Fried Rice - the Garlic Noodles were a little salty on our first visit while the Garlic Steak was cooked perfect medium rare (and again, great on the Fried Rice). The only negative is they still don't have a set schedule and his IG isn't always updated weekly hence to 4 star rating, food alone would be 5 stars... read more

The pictures on IG enticed me to try this place, and it did not disappoint! I got the salmon katsu/garlic steak combo with a noodle upgrade. The steak was buttery and although bland by itself, the ponzu dipping sauce they served on the side made it perfect! Similar to Tanaka of Tokyo's. Yum :) The salmon katsu was also delicious and the sauce drizzled on top definitely made it addicting. The fried garlic noodles were some of the best I've had, and that says a lot since I've had fried noodles growing up on Oahu! The Teppanlegend truck caught my eye. Very inviting feeling and big open window, watching the chefs in action. There were three guys working and all were very friendly and personal. I think it was Kevin, Bailey, and I forgot third guys name. They gave us some recommendations of their menu. I had to try the steak and seafood $15. The steak was cooked medium. It was very flavorful and tender. Also, the Grilled Furikaki Salmon my choice of seafood, was incredible. The fish was firmly moist and tasty. Some greens on the side to top it off. I love it that I can pre order my diner an swing buy to pick it up , my ultimate favorite dish here is Korean fried chicken it's like an addiction for me . Everyone is really nice an apologetic if my order was late or if I had any problems which I haven't encountered yet . I'm always excited when there in my neighborhood, even more convenient... I heard about this food truck before and when I saw that they were going to be in Wahiawā, I decided to try it. I ordered online and had to wait about 15-20 minutes for my food. It is their first time in this location so you have to allow for some bumps. The line to order extended down the building and people also bought teaspresso drinks while waiting (teaspresso invited them into their parking lot, so it's a win for both businesses). I got the salmon Katsu with Teri garlic fried noodles and the garlic ribeye steak plate. The steak was very tender and flavor was good. I think if they marinated it more, there would've been more flavor, but of course I am not familiar with their recipes ;) The portion size was very so good! Definitely a shareable item. It came with a side toss salad, some very flavorful Kim Chee and and extra scoop of rice. The plate was $24 without add ons. The salmon katsu was very yummy and the teriyaki garlic fried noodles were tasty as well, slightly salty for my palate, but I bet others will love it . That plate was $17.00 total since the noodles were an add on. The staff was very personable and thanked us for our patience. I would definitely try them again, I think the next time though, I'll get the regular fried noodles with the salmon katsu. They have an extensive menu and they have daily specials, so follow them on IG or FB I am glad I preordered early since they had to push back delivery of online ordering to 730 I was talking to someone who was taking pictures of the event and he said that this is a good idea and businesses don't realize that if they come for dinner hours, people will order multiple plates In today's economy, however we can support local and also get ono, affordable food that's a win for the business and the community. I wanted to check this place out for a while now so I followed them on instagram to see where they'll be. Today, they were at Mililani Tech Park. I put it in on waze and it took me to a bank's parking lot. So i was circling around twice and finally saw some people walking back to the office with what seemed like take out bags. So i stopped and asked them where the food trucks were at, they said it's across the street by Spectrum. I drive over there, and there they are. A row of around 5 different food trucks. I'm so happy. I'm a food truck junkie. I love food trucks. I want to have my own food truck one day. So i find a spot right across TeppanLegend. There were 2 people ahead of me, so I waited while looking at their menu. Menu is pretty simple but enticing. Who doesn't like a surf and turf combination right? So finally it's my turn, i wanted the steak and salmon combo, i asked him how the salmon is cooked and he described them to me, i still wasn't decided so I asked him what he recommended, he said furikake salmon. And i agreed. While waiting for my food, i walked up a bit more to see what other food trucks were there. A couple of hawaiian food, and a taco truck. There's one local food truck i wanna try though for next time. I waited maybe 10 minutes for my food, which wasn't bad at all. Weather was not good either, it started to shower a little bit as soon as i got my food. Whew! Lucky! I wanted to properly enjoy my meal so i wanted to eat it home. So here we go, I really really want to give them 5 stars but: - the steak was bland, very under-seasoned. It just tasted like fried meat to me. There were some garlic pieces on top, but it didn't have any flavor at all. I asked it to be cooked medium, but mine was closer to well done. - the furikake salmon was good! I've had furikake salmon from other places before and this one didn't taste any different. Good cook on the salmon, good amount of sauce and furikake on top - I ordered fried noodles and asked it to be spicy. This was i think the best component of the plate. The noodles were cooked perfectly, not soggy at all. Great flavor, great heat and not overpowering. I'm a noodle and pasta girl too, so i know a good dish of noodles when i taste one. This has got to be one of my favorite noodles so far on the island! Staff were nice and courteous, I appreciate that he took the time to explain the different types of salmon they have. Found a couple food trucks here on Lauwiliwili St in Kapolei. 1st stop was this truck. Clean cool and inviting. The vibes this cook gives is solid. His music is just welcoming like its telling me, yeah you, you won't regret the plate you order from me. Music was so good that I knew the food was going be even better. I order the colossal steak and his breakfast fried rice with eggs and garlic chicken. Oh my lawd, this colossal plate is one you'd want to find a nice table under the shade and take in all the flavors this plate has going on. The greens and kim chee hits perfect with that steak. I also added noodles in the plate and it doesn't disappoint. My only downfall was I tried it while sitting in my car. ‍ The breakfast plate was so good. So much flavors going on and I love the garlic taste that both plate had to offer. Definitely going back to this spot when I habe the chance. Restaurant quality food from a food truck! You definitely pay for quality, minus waiter service, building maintenance, and of course, the perfunctory teppanyaki show. When I first saw this food truck a couple weeks ago at the Mililani Tech Park, it had the longest line within the first thirty minutes of opening. This week, there was no line, and I even found parking next to the food trucks. What gives? I knew I had to take advantage of the opportunity and grab lunch here. After skimming Yelp reviews, I ordered the steak and shrimp combo. Since I was in a hurry (lately, I only go to food trucks when I'm pressed with time, but do not want fast food chains), I only had time to eat the steak, rice, and some salad...and of course, no time to snap a photo. The steak was a tender medium, just how I ordered it! I love the flavors, and I would explain, but I wouldn't want to reveal possible trade secrets. ;) I feel it would be unfair of me to review the shrimp when I ate them as leftovers. I highly recommend TeppanLegend for their teppanyaki catering experience! The owner, Kevin, was super responsive, getting us booked in for a private dinner at our friend's home in Makaha for my husband's 30th birthday party with a group of 14 people. We were so lucky they were available on our desired date and serve all areas of the island so we could have this incredible one of a kind dinner! All information on menu, pricing, timing, etc was provided up front so we knew exactly what to expect. Well.... They exceeded expectations! This dinner party started our vacation off right! They came to the backyard of our home to set up and even brought all of the tables, chairs, linens, place settings, lighting, music, entertainment, sake, and of course the delicious food! Kevin and PJ presented everything professionally and also were so fun and friendly, we instantly got along. They bring the spirit of Hawaii and aloha to everyone. I gotta show this place some love. I happened to stumble upon them when I drove by Mililani Tech Park to check out the food truck selection. I took a look at each and every truck and the menu here just looked too good to resist. First impression: damn, they are poppin'! I got here around 12:30 and they were sold out of almost everything. They only had a few menu items left. They were even out of rice. If you want to guarantee your food, you have to call it in ahead of time, and they'll have it ready for you by your scheduled pickup time. Now I know for next time! I ordered a Salmon Katsu plate. Plates usually come with white rice, salad, kimchi, and taegu. No more rice today, so they swapped in friend noodles for free. Score! They we're out of ALL entrees except for Salmon Katsu and Garlic Shrimp. I was pretty jelly of the people picking up their steak plates that they called in ahead of time. But that's okay, the salmon sounded good. And damn, it was ACTUALLY GOOD. Good pieces of salmon coated in panko and drizzled with spicy mayo and unagi sauce, topped with furikake. Get in my belly! It was bomb. I even drove home to eat it instead of eating it out where all the trucks were parked. I could smell the delicious aromas of the food in my car the whole drive home, and I was salivating. The staff is all super friendly. And, I think because it's summer, there's also a couple of kids who are helping out at the truck. I am so impressed with them! They're super cute and they totally know what's going on. One kid took my order, told me my food options (mind you, they were sold out of a bunch of stuff), and made recommendations. He even gave me their business card and told me their weekly schedule. We were on vacation in Oahu from Los Angeles for the week. We had just finished hanging out on the North Shore and was heading back to our hotel in Ko Olina. Decided to check out Yelp for some good dinner options. Found this place which had great reviews. Was a little tricky to find because it's a mobile truck but was well worth it when we finally found it. The way the truck is set up is open air where you can watch the chef cook the food. It is very Teppan-Yaki style and you can enjoy the show like you might at any Teppan-Yaki restaurant such as Benihana. Food was also outstanding and very well priced. We tried the garlic ribeye steak, Kalbi, salmon katsu, and garlic shrimp. Everything we tried was delicious. Also great to support a small family business. Been seeing so many posts about this food truck and knew I had to try it. Was immediately drawn to the salmon katsu, add fried noodles and garlic fried rice. Decided to try this on "Food truck Friday". Also got food from the bbq truck as well. We were so glad we got food from here (korean chicken, Teri chicken, fried noodles, salmon Katsu, and garlic shrimp) because we had to basically throw our food away from the bbq truck. Most of the time I get some kind of plate with a side order fried noodles for $2 more. If you are in a rush you can call it in so it's ready when you get there. They are usually in Pearl City industrial On Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays 11am -1pm. They are in Campbell Industrial by American Tire on Monday and Wednesday. They are also at Momilani farmers market on Wednesday afternoon from 3on-7pm. They also accept credit cards which is a plus. The guys that run the truck are friendly, and courteous. This was a bummer. I ordered a salmon katsu plate at the What the Truck event and this is what I got for $15...4 pieces of katsu and half a scoop rice. The katsu was good but the portion was way too small and it was missing the vegetables that were supposed to come with it. They were running low, but no one said anything when I ordered/paid. There was no other indication that this was going to be a mini plate, not in the menu and definitely not on the price. read more
