Though our contract was set for a specific amount of time; I also was pleased to find out she doesn't penalize for 'breaking' the contract and destaging early due to closing on the home. While the company may have access to subcontractors capable of good work, my personal experience was that the overall communication, reliability, and quality control were severely lacking. Throughout my project, communication was inconsistent at best and completely absent at worst. There were frequent excuses, last-minute cancellations, and ongoing delays, which caused a project that was originally estimated at four months to drag on far beyond the timeline. Repeated attempts to get clear updates were met with attitude, evasiveness, or no response at all. In my case, Adam personally installed cabinetry in a basement kitchenette. The installation was done so poorly that cabinets had to be redone, and several pieces were left rubbing against drawer faces. When concerns were addressed, I was met with unprofessional behavior and frustration rather than accountability or solutions. The constant nickel-and-diming, lack of transparency, shifting stories, and unwillingness to take responsibility ultimately forced me to end the relationship and hire someone else to finish the job properly. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Adam Williams or Atlanta Remodeling Specialist. I strongly encourage anyone considering this company to look elsewhere for a contractor who communicates clearly, honors timelines, stands behind their work, and behaves professionally.

Old houses can be tricky so I knew it would not be easy. I interviewed many contractors and ultimately landed with Adam and his team at Atlanta Remodeling Specialists. To make this open concept work we needed to remove walls, put in two load bearing beams, rearrange and add to the kitchen, build up a subfloor, and then match flooring trim and cabinet colors. I'd like to think that I am pretty handy but I know my limits. So that's where these pros came in. I had a pretty clear image in my mind of what I was looking for and Adam and his team delivered! Every day they worked they kept the house as clean as they could so I could continue to live there during the process. Communication was top notch and easy to get questions answered especially because I often was at work while they worked on the house. During the project I also needed to have part of the roof repaired from a leak and Adam was able to set that up and a team was up there fixing it within 24 hours. I am incredibly thankful for the hard work this team has put into making this house more functional and the value they have added. We had DB Atlanta remodel our master bath, a $50K plus job. At first it went great. Appearance wise…read morethey did a very good job. The remodel included a heated floor system, that all documentation said was to be connected to 120 volt circuit. Unfortunately, their electrical team installed it on a 220 volt circuit. We didn't find this out until a few years later when the thermostat failed, and a manufacturers rep diagnosed the problem. Fortunately only the thermostat failed although according to the manufacturer the floor elements could have also failed do to the over voltage situation. When DB Atlanta was first notified they indicated they would be willing to work with us to correct the problem, but eventually refused to return our phone calls, refused to answer a complaint filed with the BBB, and refused to respond to a letter from our attorney. We have more projects in future but would never again use DB Atlanta, nor could we recommend them.

They use a landscaping company that I noticed used their blowers to blow all their leaves off of their property onto our neighborhood property. My husband went to their door and mentioned it to them. The young woman there shut the door on my husband after he addressed the issue. She did not care whatsoever about it. Who would want to use a company like that that has employees who are rude and disrespectful? The Scriptures have been fulfilled 2 Timothy 3:1-5. Thus, it was of most crucial that we chose someone very trust worthy with our huge life time investment. It was a long process because it required knocking down everything I had and building everything from scratch. Because my project was large, I actually got quotes from many GCs around my area but I went with redemption in big part because of their prices. They were not the cheapest nor were they the most expensive either. But everytime my husband and I would specifically calculate a price for anything and ask them about their price, they would be right along the line range of what we we had calculated to be a respectful price. That always led me to think that they are very professional as well because obviously they are in business to make a profit but also to be fair to their customers. That was very important to me to be able to work with a company that thinks about their customers, their workers and their bottom line all at the same-time. I also felt that their payment terms aligned with ok materials are purchased they are at your house, first payment is due this day etc meaning they ask for payment when you can see where your funds are going and that allowed me to built trust throughout which is key for us when doing large projects. I also learned a lot from this project that is important to give your opinion often during the whole process. For example, I wanted my doors installed one way and once some of it was built, I realized that I need to tell the workers hey wait a minute, I actually think it looks better this way, lets change this or that before we go further. Communication is key when someone is working at your house for months, you cant just sit there and expect everyone to read your mind and ask to change things once is all finished. I felt I was able to communicate with everyone well and the workers knew very well exactly what we liked or didn't like all the time because we were always following the process. Each day that the workers finished their day, my husband and I will review how things looked and ask ourselves is this how we imagined it in our dreams? We were well aware that things may look different once installed or built but wanted to make sure that we catch anything we could potentionally not like later within a reasonable time to make adjustments. They were always very accomodating to us ofcourse within resonable expectations and within budget. I also felt that there were many times we would ask for things that were not initially quoted and they would right away tell us the change in price before it was done and I appreciated that as well. My deck and fence were done in a very reasonable time, yes we did have some delays but they were outside both of our control. You cant go into a project thinking is going to be quick, everything takes times and a lot of patience is required in construction projects this large and we knew this very well from the begining. I really enjoyed working with this company as communicaton with workers and project managers was smooth and I felt that our opinions mattered. I would love to work with them again in future projects to keep building a home that our children can enjoy for generations to come !
