The staff is helpful and friendly and they have a variety of ceramics to choose from to paint. They also have options for painting canvases and creating glass art, which I haven't tried yet. I like the new location, which now has a space in the back with booths, etc for a quieter experience or for a group that needs a little more space to work. The only thing that threw me off was that there are a few different spots that have the ceramic options to paint, but they are on opposite side of the room, etc. So after browsing & selecting an item to paint, I happened to see another display on the other wall with items to choose from, but didn't notice them until after the fact. It would be a little easier to see all of my options in one area, but I also understand that people need the space to browse without being too crowded. I like being able to do something "artistic" without having a plan or following instructions. It might not always look the best, but I always have fun doing it!

I brought coffee and spent the morning painting cute Christmas characters. It's so easy to leave your items with the capable staff and they ensure the pieces are fired and ready for pickup in a week. I had l the best experience here from start to finish! I've always wanted to get into pottery, so…read morewhen I saw a class for making mugs, I decided to give it a shot. The instructor was so nice, encouraging, and welcoming. She was very helpful and took her time demonstrating everything we needed to do. It was so step by step that an absolute beginner like me felt very comfortable with the process. On the night of the class, we made our mugs out of clay, then returned on a later day to paint and glaze them. When I went back to paint mine, the customer service was top notch again! There were so many different glazes to choose from, and the instructor explained which one would work best for my project and how different it could look after firing. When it was time to pick up my mug, it was bubble wrapped and placed in a bag with care instructions. Definitely 5 out of 5 stars! Just keep in mind that it will be a few weeks before you take your piece home. I absolutely loved how my mug turned out! I'm already signed up for two more classes, and I definitely recommend this place!

She was helpful to our group of 5 until 2 other groups arrived. You can't get your own paint or brushes and she doesn't have enough hands to help everyone. Very type A person and thats fine but it doesn't always work out. A week later when we went to pick up our items one piece was accidentally given away to the wrong person. While disappointing this could and should have had a better ending. The owner said she was able to locate the piece and we could stop by again once she has it. We don't live in Pawleys and the right thing to do would have been for her to offer to drop it off at the rightful owners house. She did refund the money but the end result wasn't what she wanted. She didn't sit for almost 2 hours painting an item to end up with the money.
