Parking was easy and nice to have designated parking spots for Bare Philosophy. Walked in and had no idea that you had to take your shoes off. I get for cleanliness sake and winter bringing water/salt, but I wasn't expecting it. I walked in and noticed another patron standing inside with her socks on so I followed suit. I didn't notice behind me that they provide slides to wear after you take off your shoes. There was no staff downstairs so no one to greet me or give instructions. There was a sign that said they were short staffed and to help yourself. It was the day before Christmas Eve. Really pretty inside and welcoming. Lots of areas to look at product. There was a coffee machine. Old historical charm throughout! The other client got brought back and I just was standing around. I finally heard someone in the foyer area and was checked in at that point and brought back to a large room for my eyebrow appointment. We spoke a bit about eyebrow shape and how she likes to keep things natural/follow your natural shape. Can always take off more later if I wanted. I think my eye wax was all of five minutes. Trimming, a few strips of waxing, and then tweezing and that's it. Let me have a look in the mirror and I was happy for the most part. I should've asked to trim my eyebrows a little more. But overall content with the shape. I wish there was something to put on my skin afterwards to calm it down since I get red easily. Again, the whole process was super quick, didn't feel overly personalized with an eye brow shaping/waxing but the job got done. The staff who did my brows was very nice and we made conversation throughout my service. I felt comfortable and no pain with the waxing/tweezing. Afterwards, she checked me out and you can give a tip on a card. $20 is a fair price for an eyebrow wax, what I was paying for at another place in the area.

Today, I walked in and showed a design to the tech and clearly said "I want this on my real nails." He said "sure, no problem" and began to remove the polish as usual and then, suddenly, took a huge pair of clippers and cut one of my nails at a severe angle all of the way below the skin. I immediately began to cry and he said "this is for the fake nail". I said "I NEVER GET STUPID FAKE NAILS and I clearly said that I want to keep my real nails as usual." He could never explain the reason why he would destroy my nail out of the blue. He kept saying he would cut all of my nails below the skin to make them even. Who would want that? He never did anything to comfort me. Finally, I stood up and showed the destroyed nail to all of the technicians and demanded that someone else finish the job. Another tech agreed to finish the job and molded some powder to cover the skin of the destroyed nail, but she then told me to be quiet and stop crying or complaining about the destroyed nail because the first tech told her that I wanted my nails destroyed (???). They also still charged me the full price!!! I only left a tip because she really did try to mold the powder to look like my nail and to cover the exposed skin of the nail bed. I am done. I will NEVER go to Leo's Nails again and I am never going to any salon again. They traumatized me!
