They leave their heavy equipment on the street and daisy chain extension cards to run cheap residential fans overnight. The quality of their work remains to be seen, but considering they don't seem to make enough to hire a professional crew or buy appropriate tools (like nail guns or industrial fans), I would say that they are not so popular. Pick these guys if you want a sloppy and noisy job site and the annoyed neighbor's that they bring to your block. I would have given them a -5 if the option were available.

Full credit to Rodrigo and Lincon, who were on top of things throughout the project. First, they patiently explained the full roofing process to me in detail when I was getting estimates. This was not my experience with some of the other roofing companies who felt rushed or were asking me to cut corners. In contrast, ELM gave me several alternatives before we zeroed on to a torchdown roof. Next, Rodrigo and Lincon were very communicative on our group chat and kept me apprised of the progress throughout, including tons of photos. Rodrigo was also very proactive in dealing with the city for permits as well as clarifications etc, which happened several times since our city is one of the stricter ones. During all this, we had a running clock since we were in contract to sell the house, but Rodrigo and company kept things in motion, sometimes working late hours to ensure completion on time, which we did with several days to spare. It was also very nice of them to talk to my buyers to tell them about the new roof in detail. I was also pleasantly surprised with their integrity. For example, the roofing torch is huge and heavy and accidentally did some minor damage to the house. They fixed it without questions in a very timely manner. They also provided us with a courtesy cleanup inside the house to cleanup roofing debris after demolition. So yeah, thanks to Rodrigo, Lincon, and their crew, we have a brand new roof and siding. They are polite, professional, reasonably priced, great at communication, and clean up well after themselves. Would recommend them 100/100.

Ryan's crew were professional, kept the site clean, repaired some rot of my 26-yr-old roof, installing new roof vents that only his company had recommended for safety & energy savings. They replaced an old skylight, removed our old chimney, and added a gutter to the back. We were really happy with the quality of the work and the price. When it came time to do a full roof replacement, they were the first place we called. And to be honest, they weren't the cheapest but we still went with them given our prior experience and the fact they would handle re-mounting our solar system directly. We worked mostly with Brian and Earl, both great guys and incredibly experienced. We had a lot of dry rot issues on our joists and their carpenter did a fantastic job (photos attached). The roof came out better than expected, it looks so clean and makes the entire house look better. We were also impressed with their thorough cleanup of the site each day, the attention to detail (even caulking around the replaced joists for us), and going the extra mile to replace a ceiling panel that was damaged when the old roof was torn off. They do most things by phone and don't use any fancy appointment systems, but if you want a roof done the right way by the most experienced people, Cal-Pac is the one you want.
