We kept our Airstream travel trailer here and had a great experience. Folks in the office were always nice and super helpful. Area is clean and had plenty of room to move the trailer in and out with ease! We vacated the spot because we sold our Airstream. Honestly the extra charges they are trying to force is not acceptable. I chose this place based on price. Now they are saying everyone has to change their lock. But if you look at the contract it says nothing about that. And they will collect a fee for the lock. My brother and my parents have units and neither require insurance. This place does and they tried very hard to get me to sign up through them but it is cheaper online. Now I am out of the country and they are saying you have to have one type of lock. They also raised the price from 69 to 99 dollars after 8 months. If you accept that they are going to rip you off come here. Don't let the low fees trick you, they will just raise the price and then say they are sorry. It's a lie. 1 and a half years and they doubled the price. Just go somewhere else. read more

I'd like to start off by saying we've been customers here since 2008. I've only dealt with the manager Don and his wife and have ALWAYS been pleased with their customer service. They've always been nice, called me when my credit card expired and I didn't realize it, etc. So, before today I would have given them a 5/5. Now, as a fellow business owner, today proved that someone in management obviously lacks leadership and training skills. I noticed a late charge and that they didn't draw until the 11th when they always draw out of my bank account on the first of the month. My account had the funds in it and I use this account daily with no issues. I walked into the office today to be greeted by two younger females. I said I need to speak to them about a late fee that I was charged. She immediately seemed like she knew me and what I was talking about, and proceeded to say, "you're the person I just spoke to over the phone, right?" I said, "nope." But it sounds like someone else has this issue. I asked why I was charged a late fee. She said because your card didn't go through on Sept. 1. I told her that's impossible and I will speak to my bank about the issue because I've had other direct payments that went through on the Sept. 1. She said it doesn't matter because I signed a contract stating no matter the reason they charge a late fee. The problem with this; my bank says this problem is coming from Iron Gate's system, and that they see no draw coming from Iron Gate on the dates that this girl claimed that Iron Gate tried to draw. That's somewhat beside the point, it's the attitude and long line of excuses she gave me about this issue. Basically there was no customer service and that was apparent from the moment I walked in. Very disappointed, especially when I grabbed Don's (manager) business card and put it in my purse as she was going on about why they don't care what my bank says. I could care less about the $10, it's a matter of really poor customer service and a very poor reflection of the business. Remember, the person that you put in front of your business is the face of that business. Customer service is very important, and her attitude was inappropriate and a sorry "face" for Iron Gate. As a business owner I would be ashamed to have her representing my company, especially when she knew she was dealing with a loyal and longtime customer. read more

If I ever need to use storage again this is the place I will come to. Very nice people and I felt my things were safe there. Unlike Public Storage where I have had things stolen and the insurance they forced me to buy wouldn't pay for anything. read more

I want to share my experience about this facilty. I moved my things in March 2016. Was transitioning between Beaverton and the couve. The manager, Scott, was friendly and briefly explained the contract. He glossed over the lien charges if non payment for 3 months. without notication or knowledges, my unit, my valuables and treasured items were auctioned without contacting or proper notification of this public auction of my unit. My Dad is emergency contact, He was never notified, I was not even aware of this auction until 5 days after sale when I got monthly stipend to pay for things. I believe this is shady shady Bad shade business running here. To find out your entire life's collection and everything is up for auction for less than 200 owed. All that needed to happen was pay them that amount on December 8th and I would not be in this HOT MESS! I did not receive the certified letter explaining payment was needed immediately or rlse. Poor customer service, Heartless, non communicative, lack of integrity, and downright dirty resolve. MANAGER hides behind empty words and silence. The good news first, this is a very clean facility and easy to access, no problems with their online payments, and I found staff to be friendly although I had minimal interaction with them. Bad News: if you don't move out before the 10th of the month you have to pay for the entire month. I don't recall being told this and would have to look through my documents to see if it's in the fine print. However, I gave them more then 20 day notice to vacate and I am still required to pay for an entire month even though I'm clearing out my storage on the 17th of the month. Also note payments are due on 1st however they give you a grace period until the 10th before they charge a late fee. They fail to tell you that you are locked out of you storage unit on the 7th even though you have until the 10th. read more

A great storage facility. Easy to access, very clean and well lit. Customer service is amazing. I believe they called me at least twice to tell me I had put my lock on incorrectly and my unit was not actually locked. In addition, when we had some hard rains, they called to have me check the unit to make sure my unit was dry. It was, of course. I would use this facility again in the future should the need arise. read more

Older couple and another younger guy run the place and they have always been super friendly and great to work with! I was very impressed with the customer service I received this morning. The guy (I think it was Dave) was very nice and helpful with the paperwork. The facility seems very secure and I was impressed with the security cams. The storage unit I rented was a little dirty but I put down tarps to keep my stuff clean. But overall the place was a lot cleaner than the last place I rented at a different company so am happy. The facility and storage unit is easy to get in and out of. I have had a rental storage unit at this location for over 10 years. I've always paid for a year in advance and received a free month. Last year I was told new accounting software prevented automatically adding free month. Had to stay on top of this with management but finally they credited my account for free month. This year once again paid with my Amex card for 1 year. After credit card was run was informed no way could I get free month again. I therefore requested to cancel credit card charge and I would pay month to month going forward(no incentive to pay in advance). Was told by site manager she was not authorized to issue credits even though 2 minutes had not even transpired since she just ran the card. Was explained that only district manager could issue credits. Twelve days later and numerous phone calls still waiting for credit to show up on card. To add insult to injury received email saying I was past due and was charged a late fee. Storage facility is convenient and prices are reasonable, but be very very carefully how you pay and keep records of all correspondence. read more

It should be noted that the customer service is very poor. There were challenges making payments via the telephone auto pay. In addition, when you go to move out, if it is after the 10th of the month, they will keep your entire month worth of payment. Although this is in the contracts fine print, it does seem a bit of a rip off, considering there is no preparation necessary to rent to another person - thus they are going to get a few more dollars in their pocket. Be wise, when you go to move out and do it prior to the 10th so you don't loose your money! I had called previously to notify of my move out date and nothing was stated about this. They told me there was no notification necessary. Yes, I should have read the fine print, however I think that if there was good communication on the part of customer service, during my earlier call, something could have been said. They ended up keeping approximately $100.00 from me. read more
