Before going to Ace French dry cleaners, I went to several other cleaners closer to my residence, but unfortunately, no one could Steam the dress the same day. Peter and his family took it upon themselves to stop everything they were doing and steam the dress for me on the spot without question, even though I was never a customer there before. While waiting for the dress, I had the opportunity to observe how they treat their customer , and it makes me so happy to know that there are still family operated businesses out there that care not only about the work they do but the people who bring them business. Upon entering the store, it seemed like they knew everybody and greeted everyone by their first name with a warm loving smile and polite chit chat! I usually don't write yelp reviews, but I felt overwhelmingly compelled that I had to let everyone possible know about my experience that a Desperate situation into one of extreme happiness and hope. Ace French dry cleaners is a family owned business with a lot of heart and compassion runner by people who love what they do and love the people that they serve. After explaining to the worker she informed me that my clothes had been mixed and washed with someone else's by mistake. I had to then stand there and go through every piece of clothing in 5 laundry bags to find what belonged to me and what didn't. After 45 minutes of going through laundry we reached the end of the bags and I still did not have all my clothing. At the end the issue was not resolved and I am leaving without all the clothes I brought in and there is no way for me to be able to tell or any solution . All I was given was an apology from the worker and that's it. I would not recommend this to anyone in the area so many different laundromats that's wouldn't make such a simple but huge mistake. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience deserves to be documented for other designers,…read morenonprofits, and small businesses. Our primary point of contact was Mike, and throughout this process it became increasingly clear that he either did not understand basic print workflow or failed to communicate essential information. Early on, I specifically asked about sizing and templates. I was told "any size works," which later turned out to be false. Only after design work was completed was I informed there were specific templates that should have been used. Those templates were either not provided or provided incorrectly. At one point, Mike acknowledged the mistake, admitted the templates were wrong, and even applied a discount because they recognized the error and the time wasted. That should have been the moment things improved. They didn't. Most recently, I emailed asking a very simple question... whether it was possible to reprint 250 brochures by Friday. This was a feasibility question, not authorization to print. Despite never receiving confirmation or final approval, the brochures were printed anyway. When I followed up shortly after to make two small accuracy adjustments, I was told the job was already done and asked if I wanted to reprint again. When I calmly explained the misunderstanding and noted that this was volunteer design work for a nonprofit, the response from the company was to suggest that I "use a different printer." If the owners advised Mike to handle it this way, that's deeply concerning. If they didn't, they should know that a lack of basic communication, incorrect templates, and printing without confirmation is unacceptable. This wasn't one mistake. It was a pattern. If you value your time, clarity, and professionalism, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
