Had some kind of computer panel issue on stove on thanksgiving. Just as Turkey was done the timer sounded, the clock screen had an error message, and the oven wouldn't work. Someone came when we called after the holiday. He was really nice and knew exactly what to fix to make the oven work again. Problem was that to fix the screen issues the back panel needed a new part. Couple weeks later he came back and "completed" the repair with the new part. This is where it gets to where I'd not call them for any other repairs or remotely recommend them to anyone. The issues on the screen and oven shutoffs continued. Every 10-20 ignitions of a stove burner the whole system would reset. Now I could fix myself and reset the time and the oven back to temperature I had it at, but I paid around $500-600 for the repairs, so I was a little ticked that the repair didn't really anything that I paid for. I called the business's number and reached a really surly disgruntled gentleman (the owner I believe). I told him the story and asked to have the problem fixed. He told me it sounded like it was already fixed. He asked me if the oven heated up and if the stove worked. "Does it work?". I said yes but that's not what I paid most of the repair cost for. It was to keep the clock from resetting and the oven to not turn off when burners were used. If my car turned on and what I paid for were my turning signals but they didn't work I'd still need my signals fixed. The fact that what I paid for WASN'T fixed was unfathomable to this person. The fire part worked and that was good enough for him. We just kept going back and forth and he got ruder and ruder insisting that they did their part. I just gave up. If he was incapable of understanding my problem he and his team were probably incapable of actually fixing it. They sure know how to take your money and cash checks though. They definitely took my money any underhanded scam artist. I'd say that's their core competency. Taking money. It surely isn't fixing things. read more

We had a popping sound coming out of the oven. Good news is that two fellas came out the next day, a Wednesday, and replaced the defective part. However, there was still a smell of gas when the oven was turned on. I called them back. She said she'd call Monday to schedule. Week later I called left a message. Once she called back but missed me. That was two weeks ago. I have left two messages since and nothing back. Things happen I get it. But to be silent after all this time is unacceptable. Had ImmediateAppliance out to my house for my washing machine two times, October, 2023 then again in April, 2024. The technician didn't fix the WM but left a wrench inside my machine! Had someone else come out who was able to fix it for $340. Hence, in April, the machine wasn't working again. I had them send another tech who said the motor was shot. Barely spent 30 minutes but charged me $203. I called them to see if they would just charge for a service call, I as denied! Outrageous! Would never use them again! read more

Do not work with this company. Scammy and shady. My wife called for a dryer repair while I was away. The repairman came, said he couldn't repair it right away, said we needed to call a vent cleaner, and then he needed to come back to replace a "valve". He charged $200 and recommended a vent cleaning company, which we called. I returned from my trip and looked at the issue before anyone came. A modest amount of lint clogged the exterior vent. I fixed it in 30 seconds for no money. Then I checked the duct and it was clean. I would have expected that advice and solution for $200. Instead, you get a shady company recommending services that aren't needed, which would get them to charge ~$600 for illegitimate cost. Stay away. Unethical. read more

I don't know about the older reviews, but I can tell you that my experience with Immediate Appliance was EXCELLENT! My elderly parents' dryer broke down the day before Thanksgiving. Not only did they get a repair person out right away, when there were hiccups with the scheduling, they CALLED ME TO LET ME KNOW! What repair/cable/services company does that anymore? Just their communication standards alone gets them 5 stars. Sure the repair cost more than I wanted ($300) but everything is more expensive these days, and being able to get the repair done quickly, and not being in the dark about when it would be complete, earns their trust in my book. DOUBLE THE PRICE OF THE PART !!! Our GE refrigerator was not giving cold water or ice. Immediate came out worked for about an hour and said the main control board was bad and the part was ordered. They gave me a bill of $466.00 part -$300.00 labor - $185.00 military discount $48.00 plus tax Just for my own curiosity I went on GE website and the part they were charging me $300.00 was $150.00 (100% markup). When questioned, immediate said that the extra $150.00 includes an extra year warranty, free service for that part etc. I told them I was willing to pay an extra $50.00 for the part which would of made it $200.00 instead of $300.00. The end result was they removed $18.00 from the bill and I had them come put the part in and caulked it up as a bad deal read more

My freezer was not freezing. A repair man came out spent about a 1/2 hour at my home. First thing that came out of his mouth was "this is going to cost you a ton of money. I was charged 69 a piece to look at a washer and dryer which they never even opened. From this short visit they estimated ~ 300 + tax a piece to repair and mentioned only after the first repair on the dryer could they determine if I also needed a new motor which would cost at least an additional 300. These are ~ 10 yr old machines that probably didn't even cost 300 ea. brand new! I would have been out 1000.00 if I had gone with them. I ate the 138 + tax "diagnostic" visit and found another local repairman who charged nothing for a diagnostic visit and fixed the washer on the spot for 120. As for the dryer, he opened it up and thoroughly tested it with a switch he had on hand. He determined that indeed the motor was bad so it wasn't worth fixing and he charged me nothing for doing this very thorough diagnosis. This is what immediate appliance wanted to charge me $300 to "fix" and then they would have sold me a new motor for at least another 300! I wish I had shown them the door 3 years ago when they charged me 660 to fix my oven. Now I know better!! read more

SCAM! This is only my second review on Yelp, but I felt compelled to share our experience with this company so that others will not be in the same position that we have found ourselves today. We were quoted $69 for Immediate Appliance Service to come out and diagnose the issue with our washing machine, which was off balance and making noise. What they didn't tell us until we got the bill is that that $69 charge is just for them to walk in the door. The repair man had to take the front of our washer off in order to diagnose the problem (makes sense - how can you diagnose something you can't see?), which was that the motor mounting brackets were hanging out of position. The repair man literally just pushed the brackets back into place and slightly bent the metal for it to stay there (a total of 2 minutes of labor), and for this we were charged an additional $66. Our total bill, everything included, was $144.45. I don't understand how a company can charge that much of a fee for so little work. Their justification for the fee is that their work is guaranteed for 3 months. This was after the repair man said that he doesn't think anything is wrong with the machine and doesn't want to charge us the repair charge to fix it. We had previously used them to fix a broken timer and knob assembly on our dryer, and the bill for them to come out twice and actually do work was $286. At least I could understand why we were charged so much there - they actually did work and had to replace parts!!! I will never call this company again. What a way to lose customers!!! read more

I called them to look at my under counter sub-zero crisper which had stopped working. The repair man turned up on time and took the drawers out but in taking the top one out he dropped it from about 18 inches on to my cherry floor which now had a nice dent in it. In the process he lost the top shelf clear plastic cover hinge pin. I have to make one now because this sort of part is no longer made. Luckily I can, it's a pain but I have to do something. Of course I contacted them and they said they would get back but did not. What a surprise. He diagnosed the problem as a pinhole leak in the evaporator and quoted me $900 for a new one and installation. He said he could actually see the leak and I know he could have brazed it because I had it done for 1/3 of that price and it's working fine. So forget all the potential price ripoff. I have a dent in my floor and a lost hinge pin I have to make just because he was careless. I suggest if you use these guy you are VERY careful to make sure they do not break anything and claim it was broken or overcharge. I will not be using them again for anything. read more

I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews. They came exactly when they said they were going to, did a thorough inspection of my appliance (a dishwasher), the technician went through every code with me as it pertained to dishwasher's service manual and he even checked my water heater to make sure the issue wasn't with the temperature of my water. The service fee is right at what any other professional service technician would charge to show up. He ordered the parts I need, took a fair deposit and will be back in a few days to perform the repair. It sucks that today's appliances aren't built as well say they used to be, but Immediate's pricing was well below the cost of replacing my unit. I'm very satisfied so far. read more

Everything went smoothly on the repair of my 5 year old dishwasher. I called several places that I found online with good reviews, but the owner, Rob, was kind enough to speak with me before I committed to the appointment for repair. The tech, Jerome, called when he was on his way, was on time, professional, knowledgeable and did the repair. I have been used the dishwasher several times since and all is well. I cannot speak for the pricing as I have nothing to compare it to. I just know that when I spoke with other companies, their price to come to the house to make a diagnosis was similar. Complete Ripoff. Had them come out to look at oven that was giving error code, technician had no clue what was wrong and had to call Whirlpool to figure it out, and changed control board, then had to come back because error code came back and replaced the control board again, as well as a different part. My wife told him we needed new seal since cracked and broken, but tech refused to listen. Then when it finally broke he had to come back out. Now the error code is back. So far it's cost more to fix then it would be for new oven. And the lady in the office was very rude every time I had to deal with her. At one point it took extra long for part and when I called I was told the part had come in but the parts girl was on vacation so we never got notified. read more

Called Immediate Appliance because my 2 1/2 year old Samsung washer was causing stains on my clothing. The technicians came out and told me it was the front boot that was causing the problem, and $400 later told me that should repair it. That did not fix the problem, and when I called them back, the two technicians told me to use this cleaner to clean the machine, and if that didn't work there was nothing else they could do for me as everything else looked ok. Back in July my 2 year old LG refrigerator wasn't cooling and I saw an ad from the Asbury Park Press that said they were the Highest rated service around. (I don't remember the exact words used) so I gave them a call. I told the person on the other end of the line that the unit was two years old and the problem. The next day a tech showed up and took the back cover off and said the compressor was too hot to touch and that the compressor was bad. Without any further diagnostics the tech said I needed a new compressor and evaporator totaling $929.76. How he determined the evaporator was bad without taking the freezer apart is beyond me. The unit was under warranty for parts by LG and any reputable service company would know that LG has a ten year parts warranty and would advise the potential client that they don't do warranty work. Not this company. It seems that they sent out a tech so they could collect an easy $85 service fee for 20 minutes of onsite time. it took longer for the tech to fill out the paperwork than to diagnose the problem incorrectly. I called LG and I told them what the first tech diagnosed as the problem and when the LG tech came he diagnosed the problem as just a compressor problem. There was nothing wrong with the evaporator. $300 (a flat labor charge) later the unit was working and we were back to normal. read more

I had to Move my AC, I called TempRite they said they would move my AC but could not guarantee the work for a 1000.00 . They wanted me to buy a new unit for 3800.00 then they would guarantee it. I called AJ Perri who would not move my AC and wanted 7,000.00 to 15,000.00 to replace my unit that had at least 10yrs of life left in it left. after 3 visit and with Rob came with louis my wall oven is finally fixed. It requires a two man job as it need to get pulled out from the wall. After diagnosis of what causes my wall oven/microwave to stop working and saying all "features not available" They figured its just the fuse and also the door switch in my microwave causes it the fuse to get busted. both parts were replaced and evwn give me 90days warranty... great job and will call again in case ill get in to trouble again with appliances and even heat or AC they said. VERY EXPENSIVE They came out to look at a few appliance we were having an issue with originaly we called about the Fridge and then called before they came and asked if they could look at the dishwaher we were having a problem with - they said no problem it was 79.99 for the service call and if you had a repair they credit you the service call. They fixed the washer a clog ( about 20 Min) cost $175.00 - the fridge needed an evaperator coil the quote was almost $1,500 to repair! - we said we woiuld have to think about it - The serviceman then tried to charge me a service call for the fridge in addition to the repair of the dishwasher. When we questioned it then he said we didn't have to pay it - not very honest. I got the frig repaired for a total of $575.00 from All County Appliance I would not use them again. read more

It's been two weeks, and $360, since they first came out to my house, and my dishwasher still doesn't work. First they came out to assess, then they had to order the part. Then when they came to install it, they did not fully test to see that the machine was working properly. When i called them the next morning, they said they could not come back out for 3 days. Then, on the morning that they were supposed to come out, they called me to reschedule! to add insult to injury, each time they came out they gave me a four hour window period. Attempted to reach numerous times and phone message either kept saying "not in service" or would automatically transfer to a different 800 number that went straight to out of order.
