I was here for a meeting and a luncheon. The food was quite good. We had a vegetable soup with pasta in it, a chicken salad sandwich that had dried fruit in it and it was set on the most scrumptious croissants I've had in this area. The room was lovely the only issue was the training of the staff to serve our lunches. Granted these were odd shaped plates but usually at a cc the service is great. Also minor coffee was cold and we had to ask for fresh hot coffee. I understand when you get your soup they put crackers on the table they were stale? Listen it seemed like forever for our lunch but whatever. I understand serving a group I did some catering work back in the day. But all this is pretty minor in the scheme of things. It's a fabulous place and I can see anyone having a lovely event here and really doing it up with an event planner. They have a private lot.. they have a pool, golf and a great workout room. Cheers!

It's got a great deal of natural light coming in and the set up is nice. I was kind of surprised that they did not have sparkling wine at the bar? Whatever wine is $7 a glass. The service was very good and unobtrusive. Food was pretty good.. we had a mixed green salad, shared dressings, warmed rolls and we had a few choices for a main of Flank Steak, Pork Loin and Ravioli. Most said the flank steak was tasty. The pork loin was either perfectly cooked or tough? Seasonal vegetables um asparagus is not in season but whatever it was good. Desert was an Apple Crisp with Vanilla Ice Cream. We had coffee/tea service. All in all food at a cc is either on point or meh. I give them a solid 4 out of 5. The bathrooms are tidy and where you check/put your coat is a great big room with hanging racks and lots of seating a plus. I'd rate it a 4.5 if it wasn't for the thievery they are now practicing on their customers... So, at the end of an always-enjoyable meal, instead of an itemized bill (which I believe is REQUIRED BY LAW), the waiter just presented a hand-held payment device stating NOTHING but the total. We demanded an itemized bill, which they took 5 minutes to create. Now, this itemized bill amount was a bit less, which could've been an honest mistake, but really, do they EVER make a mistake in the customer's favor? As normal, we leave a 20% pre-tax tip (one of the reasons why we needed the itemized bill), but when entering the credit card info, the machine "suggested" different tip amounts, and THERE is where the blatant scam occurrs! So, on a pre-tax bill of $78, what is 20%? It's $15.60. The post tax bill was something around 84.25, and 20% of THAT would be $16.85. But this hand-held "electronic grift machine" says that 20% is.....$21?? In what alternate universe is THIS possible? The obvious answer is that they are trying to scam people out of another $5, maybe $10, or even more! When did they decide to fleece their customers for petty increases? Do they think that fiscal dishonesty is a valid business model? Daheq are they THINKING?? Well, right now I'm filing a complaint with the NY State Attorney General's office. I'm disappointed, because I really liked the place despite it being located on a golf course, but it will be a cold day in hell when I'll give any business to a thief again! If anybody decides to eat there, DEMAND an itemized bill, and expect that they WILL try to fleece you.

They have soft drinks/coffee service and a bar so you can have some wine or a cocktail. A few things.. this is a PRIVATE CLUB. With that said a few things you should know. 1) like any good CC it's around a fairly residential area and the sign for the club is small. So keep a look out if this is your first visit. 2) Usually you are here due to a members invitation (or for some sort of event) 3) If you are here for Dinner/ Lunch (not a catered event) They add the 18% Gratuity to your bill and they ONLY TAKE CASH... why THEY ARE A PRIVATE CLUB. Do yourself a favor either bring cash or talk to your host/hostess prior to make arrangements. We were at a meeting and got an email stating we could pay with cash or a card. (Unfortunately that person had the wrong info.. it happens) . Luckily the person who had the meeting here is a member and she took care of it and we paid her back after the fact. Despite the massive crowds, the parking shuttles ran efficiently, Brighton/Pittsford managed to stay relatively sane, local businesses profited and the grounds passes were affordable. Oak Hill Golf Course is stunning in itself, so there's not much more to be said about that -- but the transformation of the course from something that is a participant sport into spectator sport was done seamlessly. Bleachers and viewing areas were set up well, the "Taste of NY Tent" with free beer/wine/cheese samples was awesome and all the exhibits/merchandising came together in an organized and aesthetically pleasing manner. This type of planning and execution meant that there was more time and energy to focus on the real reason that everyone was there: golf!

I have watched a lot of golf on tv and have attended many other tours tournaments but this was my first one with the big boys. The one thing that surprised me was the masses of people that attended it despite of the early morning rain. It was nearly impossible to navigate your way around the course because of all the people. The crowds were even bigger when it came to following Tiger Woods. I attempted it and failed. Crowds were at places thirty deep of people and you could not see a thing. I ended up finding a spot on the 13th hole where I could get up to the ropes and have no one in front of me. Boy did I luck out since the area I picked ended up being the landing area where the fairways narrowed and where players layed up on the second shots in order to attack this long par five. I was able to see most of the major players up close from this location. I would attend another event and this time I will not walk around. I will just find a spot and park myself there.
