Booked an 18 hole round on 5/17/26 @ 12:45 pm. Didn't tee off until 1:15 pm. It seems that the course allowed an overbooking of tee times. It took 3 hours to play 9 holes. We didn't bother playing the back nine. Very frustrating. Staff was friendly and apologetic, but the damage was done. Not likely to return. read more

Worst experience ever. Rangers don't know how to run the course. Was there on a Friday afternoon. Tee time was at 1215 and we didn't tee off until 1240, stacking tee times cause of greed, ruining the fun of golf. Waiting for 3 teams to tee off each hole. Never going back! read more

This course schedules groups 7 minutes apart. Yeah you read that right SEVEN Minutes! It's a joke. We played recently and there was commonly 3-4 groups on every hole; 2 on the course, 1 on the tee waiting and 1 group waiting for the tee. The starters are mostly great guys trying to make the best of the hot mess that gets dumped in their laps daily. Rangers are non existent and on the rare occasion you see one, they are just riding around doing nothing to improve play. The greens, while maintained beautifully by the greens keeper, are a mess. you'll find them littered by large punch marks and gashes from the kind of golfers this course attracts. The pro shop is a mixed bag. Some of the guys are great but more than a few are just down right miserable. The Pro, who has been there only 8 months, quit. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the many other great courses in the area, but skip this one. read more

I played an early morning round of golf here at Eagle Vale today with my brother for my 30th birthday and really loved the course. It was in perfect condition and as the day went, the dew on the greens dried up and the greens were perfect to putt on. I'd love to play there again when everything is in bloom and the leaves are on the trees. read more

Came here for a work event last week. We were in the meeting room downstairs. The staff was very nice and helpful on our buffet line. The decor was tasteful. I've also been to a wedding upstairs, and that was also a good experience with the staff and food. Everything was hot and fresh! Beautiful venue! read more

On Mother's Day we attended brunch with 10 adults, 4 kids ,1 toddler, and 1 infant. When the hostess brought us to the table they tried to put us at a round table which was not even big enough for all the adults to sit at let alone the kids. So we stood in the middle of the room waiting for them to set another table that was big enough. I'm not sure why they didn't have a table ready as we made reservations a week prior and given $100 deposit to secure our place. Our waiter was more then inadequate. At one point we were sharing waters because we were so thirsty. Out table was right under the A/C vent so our mother froze the entire brunch. The food was also more then disappointing. The omelet chef was burning the eggs, they ran out of strawberries by noon for the chocolate fountain, the desserts were clearly frozen and not fresh, the chicken French was tough and the prime rib was completely raw. When talking to the manager he shrugged his shoulders and said he was aware of all the issues but could do nothing to help us. We called and left several messages and only had a response from Jerry, the owner, after threatening a bad review. After over a month of back and forth because Jerry is very very busy we were offered a credit of $4 per adult. That is laughable after completely ruining a special day. I suggest if you want a nice meal do NOT go to Eagle Vale! read more

On Saturday May 7, I played a round of golf at Eagle Vale. On three separate locations, it states that 9 holes of golf should be completed in 2 hours and 15 minutes. This is posted by the first tee, on the scorecard and on the golf cart. This is an excellent way to play and enjoy a round of golf. Unfortunately, this rule is not enforced at all. Our front nine took over 3 and a half hours to play. It totally took all the joy out of the game and made me regret spending my hard earned money. I will never return to this golf course again and have already began to spread the word that if you go here prepare to spend the whole day. read more

ZERO STARS I chose this venue for my wedding. Thought the location view was beautiful. Unfortunately I should have been tipped off by how unorganized the wedding coordinator at this place was from the get-go. Overall this was a terrible experience overall! Zero Stars.... My $50 cake topper was thrown away by the wedding coordinator. Mother-in-laws heirloom cake cutter is still missing.... and they have not reimbursed us for this. My bridesmaid had her WALLET STOLEN from the bridal suite. During our cake cutting there was:No Plates, No Forks, No Napkins During dinner I was approached by the wedding coordinator to discuss billing of an additional unexpected vendors dinner. My guest only had negative comments about the PRIME RIB: overly fatty, chewy, and inconsistent in proportion and size. My husband and I had to wait for drinks from the bartender like guests instead of the "Guests of Honor". I do not feel Eagle Vale provided the experience I was looking for, especially given its reputation. My husband and I felt more like guests than a Bride and Groom. read more

ZERO STARS- I was a guest at a reception at Eagle Vale and even now months later my family and I are still discussing the dozens of infractions that all contributed to staining an otherwise wonderful day. Not only was the food inconsistent, the staff rude and NOT customer friendly in the least. The overall experience was lacking any kind of organization or rhythm. A wedding reception is supposed to be a time to rejoice and celebrate with the ones you love but because of the incompetence of the eagle vale staff all of our experience was marred. As a new Bride-to-Be I will be staying far away from this place, and I recommend you do the same! Do your homework and read reviews from all the sites. We had a 1:00 tee time/4-some.. upon getting to the club house at 12:35 there were no carts. Employee behind counter said there was a big tournament and they were just finishing up. We paid, went and grabbed our clubs and came down to the cart area. Carts came back every 15-20 minutes. We finally tee'd off at 1:48. With 20 minute gaps between groups we had no problem catching up to a 3-some pretty quickly. Why have signs up stating to keep a good pace of play? Why have Marshall's who don't patrol? I know there is slow play at times but this was a bit much. We finished at 6:30. Pretty bad management and bit of greed as well. read more

I recently had my wedding here and from the beginning Karen, the coordinator, was very helpful and listened to everything we wanted. Our guests were impressed with the bar and how smoothly everything went. The space is beautiful with large windows and the layout is very functional (and the dance floor is the perfect size!) I can't speak highly enough of Karen - near the end of the night I needed a change of clothes and she went out of her way to help me find some. I couldn't have asked for a better venue or a better person to work with there! read more

I do not understand how this is possible to be Rochester best brunch. Food was cold at all stations, Prime rib was not prime rib looked more to be sirloin roast. Tough and raw. Don't practice or enforce social distancing with employees. Have witnessed some of the girls on the drink cart without masks or using hand sanitizer when serving multiple golfers. Not enforcing rules for handicapped golf carts... there's no way this many people are handicapped. Pandemic or no pandemic, we aren't helping society by believing we are exempt from the rules set forth to keep others safe. I attended a wedding at Eagle vale in October and I was very disappointed. The food was inconsistent and lacked flavor, the staff was inexperienced. During cake they ran out of reg coffee so we asked if they could make more and the server said no drink decaf. To top it all off the bridal suit was robbed! No management came to talk to us regarding the stolen wallet. Oh and the brides cake topper and cake serving memorabilia went missing still not found. Not worth the money read more

The absolute worst golf experience I have ever had. 4 of us women went out golfing at 3:30 on a Monday and were tracked down by the ranger twice. The first time was on the 4th hole (at 4:40) telling us we "needed to hurry it up," because "they have a golf league starting soon and they were going to receive phone calls complaining that it was backed up." With that being said we tried our best to finish the hole however, (golfers know that the game is very mental) we all ended up playing that hole horribly, with two of us picking up our balls in hopes to start fresh on the next hole. Well that was far from the case. Two of us were able to tee off, again ready to start fresh, then the ranger came back....legit 10 min later...told us again "you REALLY need to hurry it up." WHILE offering us drink cards. Sorry we don't want your drink card. We want your respect as women who play golf. We essentially told him that and were so fed up that we just wanted our money back and were done. *mind you the men behind us were never spoken to.* The ranger told us "ok." When we got to the pro shop they tried to give us a rain check.....as if we would ever subject ourselves to that kind of misogynistic attitude again. A public course is a public course and 1.) our money is just as Goodall the men behind us and we deserve respect and 2.) PLAN BETTER....it's not OUR fault YOU have a league playing tonight. read more

Yesterday we had our high school alumni luncheon, including 230 graduates from 1944-1968. We were delighted with our venue at Eagle Vale and very impressed by every last detail. Karen Kiehle was our Sales & Events Coordinator and fulfilled all of our wishes precisely. Having organized many business events over the years, I am VERY particular and critical. Yes, anal retentive to a fault. But I found no fault with any aspect of service from Karen, her friendly servers and bartenders, or the skilled kitchen staff. The room has a beautiful view of the greens through a wall of high windows, making it a light, cheerful atmosphere. Even though we had 30 tables, there was enough space to walk around and visit with old classmates, hang out at the bar, take photos, share memories. We didn't feel cramped. When I walked in an hour early to set up name badges, etc., the tables were already in place, set exactly as we requested, and looking lovely. A week in advance, I had marked up Karen's handy floor layout to indicate which tables I needed to seat 10, while the majority were for 8. Executed perfectly. With four lines moving quickly at the two buffet tables, it didn't take long for all 230 of us to plate our food, which was delicious. (Oh my, the herb roasted potatoes!) A little later, we were able to select desserts from a variety of yummy cookies and brownies and help ourselves to the coffee and tea station. The seats were comfortable, the tables good sized (had ample elbow room), and it was easy to hear everyone at your table, in spite of 230 people in the room. Plenty of parking. Restrooms right next to the ballroom. No steps involved anywhere -- which was greatly appreciated by our guests who ranged in age from 50s to 90s. All were impressed and grateful for such a nice setting that contributed to the success of our event. We highly recommend Eagle Vale! read more

Prices at eagle vale are very high and the prices don't reflect it. It's a decent course overall though sort of bland design, but they always have tee times filled up so people are always coming they'll try and get a good amount every group. I'd say the course is well kept just the front nine I could go a while without playing it's a little boring. And for any single digit handicap golfers out there, to challenge yourself definitely play Golds (the tips) because I played blues and I was a handicap of 12 and shot 38 on the back and still had some bad shots out there and didn't really play amazing. read more

Will never go back, worst customer service i have ever experienced. Rude and inconsiderate. Only one that was nice was the young women behind the bar slinging us drinks. Course ranger Roger asked us if we would be better off on a golf course with windmills before we even hit a single shot. Was extremely rude to us, told us to shutup, and harassed us for 4 holes before his shift was over. WIll never recommend this course, facility, bar, or driving range to anyone and will in fact advise everyone i know NOT to go to this course. read more

It's a tough call on this one because I generally like the golf course and I've never had a problem with any of the staff. However, several of the people that I play with have had negative experiences with uptight workers at the course. The course itself is fairly challenging and well maintained in the peak season. I enjoy playing this course in the spring and autumn when they knock the prices down. read more

Attended a family wedding recepton there - and wow, it was great. The facility is lovely, the staff helpful and attentive, and apparently they were missing one employee that night but you would never know from the service. Eagle Vale was the perfect venue! Karen and the rest of the staff was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. They worked with us on a few things that we wanted to do that were a little out of the norm (I surprised my husband by renting a pool table for the reception). The food was excellent. People are still commenting to us about the food and it was a week ago. We just wish we hadn't been so preoccupied with socialized and had eaten more of the appetizers. Also, even though the ballroom is large and can accommodate a few hundred people, it was perfect for our 100 guests. The layout never made it feel too big, but actually gave it a nice flow for those who wanted to dance, sit and chat, hang out around the bar, and/or play pool. I would definitely recommend Eagle Vale! read more
